  1. Edinburgh City away tickets on sale now on Fanbase.
  2. It truly warms my heart that with all the debates, discussions and disagreements that occur on this forum - even when we’re doing brilliantly - the one thing that brings us all together in unison is that Gary Holt is a w**k.
  3. Am I being indescribably petty and childish? Yes. Do I care? Not a jot! Bet you weren’t good at your first job, eh? Happy Gary Holt Day, one and all!
  4. Apologies for interjecting at a bad moment and obviously don’t know the ins and outs, but I find it baffling you’d choose to start Mutch if there are other options available. He was first choice for the worst Falkirk team in our entire history and was a very poor keeper at League One level; nowhere near the standard required for where Ayr would want to be.
  5. Robbie Mutch is an absolutely howling goalkeeper so no shock there.
  6. I don't think we'll see a whole lot of movement, but I would like to see another striker come in that fits the system (on the premise that Allan will probably leave, at least on loan) and an experienced goalkeeper. I agree with a comment elsewhere that with our defence looking incredibly solid and settled, it's got to the point where the majority of the goals we are conceding appear to be goalkeeping mistakes, whether it be Long or Hogarth. I move between thinking Long or Hogarth is the better keeper, but given Long is on loan, if his wage could be used to get a more experienced keeper in, I'd do that.
  7. I don't live in Falkirk either, but luckily work hours today allowed me to drive through and get our tickets earlier. Echo comments made though; driving to one stadium to get tickets for a game at another - especially when the game in question is bog standard league match where sales could have been arranged weeks ago and you're selling home tickets online - is ludicrous. FSS statement was spot on and to the point. Hamilton are a dictionary definition, quintessential tinpot diddy outfit and I hope the players are properly fired up for this on Saturday.
  8. Ach, we’re fast approaching the midway point in the season and I think it’s clear McGinn will pack it in at the end of this one. He’s the most experienced head in and around the squad by some considerable distance and I reckon he’d be good to keep in and around the place. He might even be able to play even a bit-part role against some of the weaker teams to allow other players a rest or act as someone to help shore games up with 5-10 minutes to go. If an agreement was reached I wouldn’t be gutted about it, but neither would I be upset if he’s kept on for the remainder of the season, which I think is more likely.
  9. Not sure it's unreasonable to suggest that a draw away to Montrose on a Tuesday night in November with a handful of key players carrying knocks, being injured or sitting out through suspension would be a decent result. Even if all of that listed above weren't the case, I'd still argue a point is okay. Dunfermline drew 12 games last season and still absolutely ran away with it. Obviously, Falkirk in League One should be going into every game looking to win it, but all things considered, I'd take a draw and move on to Saturday which I think might be even more crucial.
  10. Challenge Cup’s most successful team for a reason xx
  11. Long should have saved that one too. Started brilliantly but heads have dropped since 1-1. Need HT to get going again.
  12. I think, in a roundabout way, his poor team selection today actually shows the strength in McGlynn's summer recruitment. Miller, Alfie and Ross are absolutely streets clear of the players we had at our disposal in those positions last season, including Oliver and Nesbitt. Barring a major drop off in performance, those three, along with Morrison (who didn't look fit at all to me today), should be the ones vying for the starting berths every week behind MacIver.
  13. Ken that was a troll above, but Spencer is quite literally the midfielder we’ve been crying out for for years. Good defensively as well as carrying the ball forward, and rarely - if ever - wastes a pass. Top class and the type of guy you happily pay your money to watch.
  14. One of their own running the line and still couldn’t get a result
  15. Ethan Ross on loan from Raith is a very good signing out of nowhere!
