  1. Particularly noticed this in the Dunfermline game. Ahui had an absolutely mortifying start to the game but any time he got on the ball and looked for a pass, Chalmers was actually penning him in by hugging the touchline and not moving or showing in behind. Was evident again today.
  2. Exactly, creating chances against a team in woeful form who started the day below us in the league isn't something praiseworthy. It's a minimum requirement. Cannot stomach this club at the moment, it feels like a completely rudderless ship heading for oblivion. I need a drink.
  3. People saying we weren't that bad today are obviously slightly swayed by the fact we scored and should probably have scored at least another, but defensively that was an abomination. To save our season, he needs to go and it needs to be now. Our home record is an utter disgrace, you cannot keep serving that dross up to people.
  4. This is very true. Shame the personnel at his disposal are utterly incapable of it, which was clear for all to see when we continuously played ourselves into trouble at home to Dunfermline.
  5. Scored a double in a derby win for the league leaders on Tuesday. Appreciate the optimism but not sure he'll be overly keen on jumping aboard Bullen's OceanGate adventure
  6. On the Albinson thing - wouldn't it be nice if someone actually put the question to Bullen? Maybe if we could have some real questions asked by the media team, or some kind of local journalist?
  7. On the face of it, the team that finished 2nd in the league last year currently stinking up the place in 7th with 19 points would be a surprise, however anyone who paid any attention last year could see that we were laughably reliant on the goals of one man alone. As above, we are shite.
  8. It was Tony Bryson, all he did was post the photo of the 'Not Good Enough' bedsheet. Nothing to see here, not like anyone at the club could reasonably disagree.
  9. Christ. Every bit as bad as I remember. Fair play to Morton for including our 'highlight' - Jamie Murphy trying to pick out the top corner and picking out the railway line instead. Special mention to Captain Fantastic Benjamin Dempsey falling on his arse for the second goal. Horrendous.
  10. When you have someone whose job title is 'Head of Recruitment' then they should be taking a sizeable portion of the blame. Our model of raiding English village teams and hoping for the best was always going to come back to bite us when we inevitably failed to unearth an Akinyemi/Adeloye.
  11. Agreed, and not just on their leadership abilities either. Those that you named would all throw themselves into challenges and provide some grit and solidity in the middle of the park. What we have right now is the complete opposite.
  12. 'Started the game really brightly'. What, because Murphy fired a shot(?) onto the railway line? My word. Get him out Sharon.
  13. As much as Bullen needs fired into the sea as soon as possible, let's not detract from the utterly fucking deplorable performances on the pitch today. At the very minimum I expect so kind of effort but my word that was right up there with the worst I have ever seen in 25 years of being a season ticket holder. f**k the lot of them. Bullen needs to go but as for the rest, have a look in the mirror ffs. Upwards of £60 spent today following them, and for what. Anyway, happy new year.
  14. Genuinely as low as I've felt for a long time watching Ayr. Not one single bright spark. An utterly disgraceful afternoon and I hope those in power are having a good look at themselves.
  15. If you don't want Bullen out after this then I'm sorry but you are a moron. £22 to stand in the rain and watch this fucking nonsense. f**k the lot of them.
  16. Agreed. If someone could outline what kind of player Dempsey actually is then I'm all ears. He is relatively competent at most things but we need far more presence in there than we currently have.
  17. Extremely noticeable yesterday that we had about 5 players warming up all through the 2nd half that Bullen evidently had no intention of putting on. What a squad.
  18. For the first half hour yesterday, Ahui was utterly horrific. Beat by his man every time and far more to blame for the shitshow of a start than Mutch was. Granted he improved after that once the team realised the game had started but his performance prior to that was far worse than anything produced by Mutch. I know we don't want the long ball pish that we have endured for much of Bullen's tenure but we are simply not good enough to play out from the back the way that we attempted to yesterday. It put an already fragile goalkeeper and defence under immediate pressure and was extremely hard to watch.
  19. I don't particularly share your confidence here. That first half today is worse than anything I've seen any other team in this division produce.
  20. That shambolic first 45 was the worst I've seen any Ayr team produce since we got horsed 7-0 at Somerset by Caley Thistle 14 years ago. Utterly appalling. The fact that Dunfermline let us back into that game is unbelievable and yet, going by Pars fans on here, all too believable. In summary; we are both shite. Happy New Year lads.
  21. Seen yesterday that GMFC are advertising for a new Commercial Manager on a 25-30k wage. Good luck to them... Ayr make a good amount from the new Cameron's Bar on a matchday, always felt that it's a bit of a missed opportunity for Morton that everyone piles into The Norseman rather than a club-owned bar. That's a potentially good revenue stream going to waste imo
  22. Some very interesting points raised. It may be an obvious and slightly lazy example but I thought very much along the same lines as VT a couple of years ago regarding the 'best part-time vs worst full-time' debate when Arbroath were flying high at the summit and we had about 8 of your (full-time, woohoo) rejects signed by Hopkin. We are very similarly sized clubs with comparable budgets, crowds and facilities. Traditionally we would be your competition for those duds that nobody else wants, however we have done a 180 and now target random players from England instead. For every gem we unearth like Akinyemi, we unearth 3 or 4 horrifying jobbers. I'm not sure if what we are doing is 'better', but what is definitely true that there are a hell of a lot of good players down there who are begging for a chance of full-time football to showcase what they can do, and if the alternative is plucking Kirk Broadfoot from the 5th tier and hoping for the best, then it is surely a route worth exploring.
  23. Akinyemi's form tailed off because other teams realised that he was pretty much all we had and if they cut off the supply to him, we were left with nothing but McGinty's orbital rockets to nobody.
  24. You know that stage where you simply cannot be arsed with a manager any more and no matter what he does, he's not going to win you back over? We were very average last season but had an excellent chance to reach a national cup semi and get promoted and chucked both away in disgraceful fashion. He deserved a chance to go again this season and it is clear that we have regressed, still a long ball outfit with multiple players in our starting XI that are miles off it at this level.
  25. The whole club just seems low at the moment. Fans scunnered with the team, home form laughable, pumped again today, manager is a dinosaur, atmosphere at home games is appalling, can't get a bus going for away games. What a life. Time for a drink.
