  1. what a bampot, so many delusions. But "killed all competition" ....... hardly. Since they went bust, apart from Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, ICT and St Johnstone have all won the Scottish Cup, Killie, St Mirren, Aberdeen and Ross County have all lifted the League Cup. I'm sure we all welcome the death of competition, if that is what happens.
  2. How hard would it have been to simply condemn the individual involved, and offer access to any support, counselling or help the young man needed or wanted. The statement issued is horrific and it is almost beyond belief that a professional PR company penned and released it.
  3. I think the use of the word " really" in that sentence implies that the writer doesn't actually think it is true. Arfield's annual salary at Burnley last year was 1.2 million, The Rangers average salary for the same period was just under 330,000, Despite running at a large deficit, it seems the plan is to continue to spend, spend, spend.
  4. As long as Hibs can do their usual 3 -2 against the ****, it won't matter what we do. But it would be nice to get a point at least, and maybe score a goal.
  5. Have to say, I was surprised by how many of those games I was actually at. Probably the biggest regret of my life was not scrounging up enough money to go to Gothenburg. At the time, it seemed like all we had to do, was turn up and we'd win cups. In my naive teenage mind, I figured I'd be able to afford to go the next time we got to a European final. If only I had known then, etc...............
  6. Tony Kroos ? William Wallace ? Bob Dylan ? I like this game, I think it could take off.
  7. Brenda to Highbury, ooops, I mean the Emirates, and Del to replace him at the Tattiedome
  8. Deek, for your info, international dialing code for The Netherlands is +31
  9. Bored with this now, almost on the verge of hoping the council deny planning permission, just to see what the non-existent Plan B actually is.
  10. Is Pittodrie insured? You know, just in case there was, say, an unfortunate incident which resulted in it being tragically destroyed. Asking for a friend.
  11. Beach End - Ipswich Town game Nostalgia nearly always makes things better, but I have a genuine affection for the Beach End and the atmosphere there. Of course, that may be , because I was a teen boy and prone to losing my mind and voice at the football back then. The Dick Donald Stand, for all it's newness and shinyness back then still seemed a bit sterile.
  12. I'm guessing the reason he repeated it at the AGM and every other opportunity he gets, is to try and put as much pressure on the Planning Committee with his doom and gloom scenario. Personally, I'd like them to redevelop Pittodrie. The number of times we sell it out is infrequently enough that we could reasonably have a reduced capacity of 17 or 18K. But I'm an old codger who used to go the Beach End and was upset when that got demolished .
  13. I highly doubt it. AFC were rumoured to be offering a max of 300K last summer,, which M'well correctly decided wasn't sufficient. They have done well by turning our offer down. More money, a sell - on clause, and avoided selling an in-form striker to a club playing in the same league as them. Good bit of business.
  14. And in other news tonight's Lottery numbers will be...............
  15. If McInnes genuinely wants to go to The Rangers, it probably is for the best that he is, at the very least, allowed to talk to them - assuming some kind of agreement has been reached that they can actually afford to pay the compensation due to AFC. Who knows, DM may decide, once he gets to peek behind the sevco curtain, that just like Sunderland, he's better off staying where he is. If he decides to leave, then, after we've had our head's gone moment, we'll just get on with supporting the Dons and who ever the new manager is.
  16. He's under contract. Unless letting him talk to other clubs is part of that contract, it's not a matter of principle, it would just be him being a mercenary. If he resigns, by mutual consent, that would be different. But if he resigns to take the sevco job, I beliee AFC could sue for the remainder of his outstanding contract.
