  1. Contraband - 7/10 I actually enjoyed this though I can see why some people would think it's pish. Without wanting to sound cliched, it had me on the edge of my seat. Good way to kill a couple of hours.
  2. If you go to the help centre and type in delete, the question of how to permanently delete the account comes up. If you click on the link it gives you a form to fill out and once you've done that it deactivates the account for 2 weeks. If you don't reactivate it within 2 weeks it deletes the account. I think if you just deactivate it then you stop receiving notifications for things but you have the option of reactivating it if you want. I wouldn't quote me on that though, I don't even use Facebook. I only know how to delete an account because someone asked me to help them do it recently.
  3. Did anyone else go to Motherwell today? Have to say that I wasn't impressed. I know it was only a friendly but I'd expect a top 10 EPL club to comfortably beat an SPL team but Motherwell definetly deserved a draw. The team lacked a creative player like Pienaar and neither Vellios or Jelavic really gave the Motherwell defence anything to worry about. Nothing Howard could have done about the goal though. At least McFadden got a good reception from the fans.
  4. My auntie somehow managed to obtain 3 tickets for me, my dad and my uncle for the Schalke end at a Dortmund vs Schalke game a few years ago. Schalke won 3-2 and being in a packed Signal Iduna Park was a fantastic experience. I'd thoroughly recommend going to see Schalke play for anyone considering going to a German game, the noise their fans can generate is unbelievable.
  5. You can't say that and not tell us what it was!
  6. Doubt that I'll be able to convince anyone to make the trip up to Dundee tomorrow night. Will definetly be at Motherwell on Saturday though.
  7. 21 Jump Street - 8/10 Pretty funny, would recommend. Goon - 5/10 Killed a couple of hours but a pretty poor film overall.
  8. Pulp Fiction - 8/10 First time I'd ever seen it. Was good but I'd disagree with my mate who recommended it to me as the best film ever. Borat - 9/10 Absolutely hilarious. Would've given it 10 if not for the scenes in the Jewish couple's B&B and the antique shop which I didn't like.
  9. I hadn't considered that. I suppose a versatille player like Naismith will provide competition for a few of the attacking positions in the team. Would be very surprised if he gets into the team ahead of Cahill, Pienaar or even Osman but I'm glad he's signed nonetheless.
  10. I don't think he should be a replacement for Pienaar, was just wondering if there was the possibility that the club can't afford Pienaar and Naismith was the best affordable player who plays the same position as him. I hope he tries to sign Pienaar anyway, though I'm struggling to see how both players could fit into the same system since both perform the same task of supporting the main striker, albeit in completely different ways.
  11. Pleased with this. I think he definetly has the ability to cope in the EPL and should complement Jelavic quite well up front. Direct replacement for Pienaar?
  12. Is it actually possible to do this? If so then I'd consider doing it even if Newco go to the 3rd division after the disgraceful way the SFA have conducted themselves throughout this whole ordeal.
  13. Man on a Ledge - 6/10 Was not bad, decent way to kill a couple of hours.
  14. Bump. This used to be a good thread so I thought I'd try to resurrect it. Here's my five I like the rain. Not torrential rain or hailstones but light rain. It's the best weather to play football in and cools you down if you've been doing a lot of running. I'm in sixth year at school. Not a massive statement to make but it shapes some of the other things in the list. I don't use social networking. To people my age this is alien. I'm the only person in my year who does not use Facebook and/or Twitter and this apparently makes me some sort of freak. I've never drank alcohol in my life. I don't plan on staying like this forever but I'm happy for now. Does make for some shite nights at parties on the rare occasions I actually bother going to one though. P&B has influenced my character a fair bit. I've been reading the forums for the best part of 2 years now and I find that P&B has altered the way I now approach arguments with phrases like "verge of tears", "seething" and "scrambling for relevance" now part of my argumentative repertoire.
  15. I don't use Facebook but my mate does and he says it's absolutely clogged with people saying how close it's getting to TITP. Says he tried to switch to Twitter and it's the exact same. That would do my fucking head in.
  16. Game confirmed at Motherwell on 21st of July for Steven Hammell's testimonial. Kick off time TBC. Delighted about this since I can't make the Dundee United one.
  17. Only three houses in my street have Union Jacks out. All are inhabited by Rangers season ticket holders and to make things worse the Celtic fans are all out in their kits in a form of protest. I even saw one guy today in Dunblane walking down the street in a full Republic of Ireland kit
  18. Been lurking for a while, about time I started posting.
