  1.  The best-attended Scottish Cup tie also happens to hold the European record for a domestic crowd.

147,365 supporters watched Celtic versus Aberdeen on April 24 1937.

    Ah, the good old days.

    No,  I don't remember it.

    'Mon the Dons.

  2. Soz, back on topic.   So, no more chants of 'if you hate xyz  clap your hands' ?

The H word is there in big bold shout and you would be encouraging others to join in your hatred.

ETA OK, so football teams don't seem to count.   What about the Glesga Polis?

Of course some football fans might fall foul of the H word law.

However, have you ever thought of buying Cryptocurrencies?

Actually I did when I first read about it in 2010/11.

I couldn't really understand it and thought it was a con so didn't buy my 5 bitcoins.

The price crashed later and I felt smug.   $70,000 each now, I believe.

It's a Scottish broadcaster, covering a Scottish team in European competition... away from home. I'd find it strange if they weren't biased.

I remember Bill McLaren the rugby commentator being unbiased in match commentary during Scotland games.

     It is possible and preferable.

The BBC tries too hard to compete with the commercial broadcasters these days.

  5. The Hunts will soon be able to sell their shares more easily.
British finance minister Jeremy Hunt is drawing up plans to allow UK private companies to offer shares on exchanges, the Financial Times reported on Saturday.
The Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System (Pisces) would act as a crossover between public and private markets allowing for some liquidity in the shares of private companies without the regulatory burden of a public listing, the FT said.

How would this work? Would we expect the players to get pissed before the game, or down a shot for every goal/corner won etc?

Football gained its popularity when most fans stood on the terracing, had a drink if they wanted, argued about one-off, irreversible decisions and lived off the memories of the goals and incidents that they alone witnessed.

I accept we can't return to those days but I feel that  "they'"are trying to strait-jacket all aspects of football to an anodyne, antiseptic formula, along with some very dubious (no, outright wrong) interpretations of the rules of soccer.

See 'VAR'  , handball and offside.

My only suggestion is to leave UEFA and FIFA, and just do our own thing with our own rules. Any fans who miss 'big European games' can adopt Man City or Barcelona as their big team.

A Scottish club or national team is never going to win one of their competitions in the future anyway.

    So there!

No surprise wae that shower, they're not interested in Scottish football as all can see wae they're shitty TV deal .

Seems they aren't much interested in anything below the English Premier League, many scores haven't been updated, hours later. I blame the owners.
