Had to make do with watching this on my phone and text updates, nervy as hell, delighted for Bob who was probably after a nervy start, the best of all the rookies in the European team.

Dunno if sky get the pictures from a different company but their coverage was awful, far too many shots missed for adverts or interviews or the fucking nicklaus jacklin award!

Anyway get it up ye lacava!

    Found this.

The USA Network, responsible for covering the first 10-plus hours of the Ryder Cup on Friday, delivered an onslaught of advertisements to viewers in those opening few hours, enraging the golf internet and resurrecting the neverending debate about the state of golf-viewing in the U.S.

Still not sure what USA Network is. I know ads are necessary (generally in our capitalist society) but they should NOT ruin the spectacle they are supporting.

  2. OK, so I know very little about golf and I know Rome wasn't built in a day, but having seen the drone images of that course, I think the Italian golf authorities should up their game. Build a decent course out in the countryside , with some space. That one looks like a council course that has been surrounded by industry and commerce. And cabbage patches.

eta, apart from the manicuring of fairways and greens, of course.

I can't remember ever praising a referee after Aberdeen have played in Glasgow, but Steven McLean was excellent today.

    You are mistaken.

I read on the highly respected fans' website 'Rangers Media', that  he was extremely inefficient and of a certain religious persuasion

which caused him to have a bias against the home side.

On your first point , I’m assuming this type of merchandise is bought from the tat stalls outside the ground. Why are these stalls not getting shut down if they sell sectarian trash?

Also how is holding a 100% Protestant scarf going to upset a Protestant Aberdeen fan of which there would be the vast majority ? There’s just so much to unpack here . Or does this indicate there is a genuine belief that the fans of all other teams are “ caflicks”

On your second point the only thing I would say is that unless they are scudding teams they aren’t interested. They don’t want any competition.

    Jacobites is trending...

There is no logic to it. They are lost and confused and are desperate for a messiah.

Although given their idiocy , they would probably reject that word.

Maybe they need a naughty boy. 🙂

Agree with your 'scudding' point. They don't want close-fought encounters, just total supremacy.

Absolutely gone at the lad near the segregation defiantly holding up a scarf simply reading '100% PROTESTANT' towards the away end in the second half, btw. Genuinely one of the funniest things I have ever seen at a football game.

But it shouldn't really be funny.

Imagine he held up a sign saying 100% Christian...  no, I can't imagine it either.

Don't know why the other 'home' nations aren't having a wee word in the English ear and suggesting that as Scotland & Wales have got their own anthem then maybe England should follow suit & stop using the UK/GB anthem as their own. I suggest they use 'Jerusalem' , though that might show up our own effort for the tedious dirge it is.

Prince Wullie's the prez of the English FA, they can't drop GSTK.
