Don't know why the other 'home' nations aren't having a wee word in the English ear and suggesting that as Scotland & Wales have got their own anthem then maybe England should follow suit & stop using the UK/GB anthem as their own. I suggest they use 'Jerusalem' , though that might show up our own effort for the tedious dirge it is.
Prince Wullie's the prez of the English FA, they can't drop GSTK.

I picked a bad night to be booze free. On different levels. I might relent. I'll keep you posted.

As far as I’m aware, it’s the only anthem we boo.
England fans do it on a regular basis.
f**k them, it’s a rivalry, nothing sinister in it.
This.

If they actually played their own anthem instead of the UK Anthem then I might show it some respect!
However as an atheist republican, GSTK will be getting the full respect that it deserves from myself tonight.
That definitive article and possessiveness as well. Surely these religious zealot royalists should be wanting to save ALL monarchs.
Selfish, xenophobic b*****ds.

Mmmm...... parhaps we're not yet ready to take our place at the top level of international sport ?
..
It's got nothing to do with sport, sport.

How loudly will you be booing the English anthem?
And will it he louder than the howls of faux outrage from the usual media sources?
I'll be booing from France, you might hear me.

Only costs the SFA £4000.
Around 8 pence each.I couldn't find any info on this. Technically, it's also Scotland's anthem. Unfortunately. Can they impose a fine for dissing your own anthem?
Answer: Probably.

After seeing pics of Andy Robertson and Harry Kane at the venue of the first international match, I thought I'd venture along for a wee look since I'm in the vicinity.
The Wickets hotel used to be a Sunday watering hole for me a long time ago before pubs opened on a Sunday.
I know it's been redeveloped. Google shows opening times but I went on street view and couldn't see any signs for a hotel or bar in Fortrose street. Anyone got any info?

Scotland and England games were great. My first game was the 1-1 1984(?).
It is the oldest International game and our closest rivals/ neighbours/ enemies, however you want to phrase it.
Back in the day it was a massive fixture with fans saving up 2 years in advance for the biannual Wembley trips.
Also used to be one of the few games on television, shown live.
I am looking forward to watching it. I feel the players on both sides and the fans will be up for it.
For a friendly it should be competitive, so it will be interesting to see how we do against one of the higher ranked nations, we may face in Germany.
Going in front after the first 4 games, Scotland stayed in front for more than a century, England only taking the lead in 1983. It's time we regained supremacy.

I don’t want to get ahead of myself but the only teams who may be objectively better than us are France (frequently implode) and Portugal (managed by Roberto Martinez).
we genuinely could win the Euros
I've heard that kind of talk before. 1974, 1978 frinstances.
Can't help but think it doesn't matter how good we are, we will never win a trophy.
Too many variables. Location, weather, referees, injuries, pure bad luck, retaining manager, France, etc.
I hope I'm proved wrong.
Hmm, location should be ok , this time. Weather too. VAR will help with referees. All teams suffer injury probs. Luck seems to be running our way. Clarke won't go to Rangers. Our record v France is 8 each.
OK, we'll win it.

That will do for me, all things considered.
Now to concentrate on France v NZ in the rugby. Good game.

Game on Tuesday means absolutely f**k all in the grand scheme of things.
Aye........but...they only took the lead in the series in 1983, it would be nice to make a dent in it.

I do like an all blue strip, including sox,. Just saying.

I'm only following the game on here. More input please. But seems like we should just see it out and save something for Tuesday.
Having said that, It's only a 'friendly' and should be treated as such.
(I know, I know, but it's the same for them and we can cruise it. )

Hoping to watch this in Tirana/Albania. Arrived last night and staying in Blloku if anybody has any tips as to who might have it on.
Passed a few bars with big screens but not sure of this game will be high on the list for people wanting to watch list. Might try popping and asking for it, no harm in trying.
Prediction: A stuffy 0-2. First goal in about 20 mins from a corner. Second in 85th again from a corner.
Hopefully I am wrong and it is 0-6 with 3 goals in first 10 mins!
I see the Albanian stock market is climbing.
Tirana boom today...
Sorry, pre match nerves.

I think this might be a Gough 96 minute job as Cyprus aren't a bad outfit. Got to trust Clarke and the lads though. A win here and it's gravy, going to be watching it in Tangiers so any good link would be appreciated. C'mon Scotland.
It's on all these channels, none of which is FTA. No doubt there will be a way to watch it on the web.

Maybe this has been said before but I've always thought the Derry's Walls song didn't make sense.
- They sing, 'The cry was 'No surrender, surrender OR you'll die.'
- Surely it should be 'surrender AND you'll die' ?
- Not surprised really, considering who is singing it.
- Sincere apologies for sullying these pages.

I’d like to see the disallowed goal back again as it looked like the Celtic boy kicked Dessers rather than the other way round.
He did. I can only assume it was considered that his leg impeded Lagerbielke and that it wasn't so much a kick as an impeded stride.

I'd have preferred a draw.
