I stand corrected. France win 14-0 to beat Germany's euros record
My 'big team' won by 14 goals and Griezmann didn't score.
I hope Scotland avoids France until the final.

If you think that's bad, wait til the next couple of years when Saudi teams are in the Champions League.
At least I'll be dead and gone by the time Musk sends a Martian team to the World Cup....

1-1 imo.
It's probably been asked (and answered) before but recent events caused me to wonder, by what stretch of the imagination is Israel in Europe?
Is it because it's in Eurovision? Or could it be money? Ah! , there's my answer.

During and after.
A Waterford, Dailuaine and Laphroaig Càirdeas.
Lucky you. I've got high level of Gamma Glutamyl Transferase and am giving my liver several weeks rest.
I've had no withdrawal symptoms until I switched on the game and a craving for beer came over me.
Triggers, eh? I resisted.
My wife drinks almost as much as me and has a GGT level of 26. Mine is 250.
I know this post is irrelevant as far as the match is concerned, I just wanted a wee grumble, soz.

Just caught the last 10 mins of the game.
Can the football 'authorities' not do something about player dissent?
If the ref sends someone off and that someone refuses to go off,
why does it continue as a farce? The ref should be allowed to issue a 'double red card' or something similar.
Or send off another player, like the goalie frinstance...

As much a do love some Vitamin T, there’s absolutely no chance I’d be sitting in Cologne drinking that when Kölsch is there.
There will be beers we have never heard of. All brewed to the Reinheitsgebot. How exciting

I went to France 98 when I was 24 for the full 2 weeks of the group stage and had a brilliant time of it.
This time I may or may not go and if I do, maybe for a couple of days around one of the games. (Competing priorities and all that).
To all the young team, step up to the plate and enjoy it.
I can't wait for it, whether I'm here or in Germany.
I went to Germany74, Spain82, Mexico86, Italia90, Sweden92, France98, missed England96 and after the wilderness years, Euro 2020.
I might be too old for Euro 24 but I do know someone with a flat in Leipzig, so never say never.
Anyone who can go, should do it.

I thought the ball came out from the leg of a Spanish player who was offside from the original cross/shot.
But then, I don't understand football anymore.

You will all be interested to know that I'll be watching the Norway v Spain game on Chaine L'Equipe on
French cooncil (or commune) tv, ( licence fee scrapped, yippee )
flipping over occasionally for France v SA rugby on TF1.
Allez les blues pour la victoire. Gå landslaget for uavgjort.

Spot on. It's now completely impossible for an attacking player to look along the line and know if he's on or offside.
I can't fathom how those in charge of the game think this is an improvement.
My tuppenceworth, is that only the whole body of the player should cause offside to be triggered, not just a toe or the nose.
I realise there would still be debate, over a trailing foot for instance, but to the watching fan it would be more obvious and acceptable .

RM is suffering under a massive depression tonight.
Again, they want grit, fight, determination, bottle, fire, passion, aggression. eta And pride, I forgot pride.
Skill doesn't rate highly.
Large number calling for a clear-out of their team of 'non-triers'.
How do they think these guys can be replaced?
Lack of understanding of their situation.
Humorous.

One bit that isn't getting commented on, so maybe I've misunderstood it. Under this "plan", do Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay all get the automatic qualification spots, despite only getting three games? so Spain, Portugal and Morocco all have to qualify?
I read that 6 countries get auto qualification.

The compromise reached is that Spain, Portugal and Morocco will be the main hosts of the tournament but the three South American countries will get automatic qualification and will play their opening match in their home country before the tournament moves to Europe/North Africa.
I can imagine this will go down like a bucket of cold sick with whatever teams have to go and play their opener in South America and then have a game in Valencia a few days later.
Guess which team that's almost guranteed to be?
Although at least it means we'll be in it....
