  1. If Murray does leave, I'd only fancy our chances of staying up next season with Jack Ross in charge.
  2. Good compensation and hopefully Jacko would stay and become the manager. Win win really. Kinda.
  3. He looks too much like Jamie Ewings. The fans will be outraged.
  4. If I'm not misreading this, are you asking how we'd feel about Rangers fans travelling with Dumbarton fans on the supporters' bus(ses) to Ibrox?
  5. Would have preferred the Strollers again. Wee ground, pitch in the middle of a grass park, wee bar in a building right next to the pitch, and a place to kick a ball around. Still looking forward to it. Carlisle should be an interesting game as well.
  6. Gilhaney used to take a fair few corners, alternating with my hero Ryan McStay. Don't know why Kirkpatrick still takes them when Gils is available. Should be Gils from the left and Linton from the right.
  7. Thank god! It's amazing how one poster on here can change the minds of every other poster in Jamie Ewings' case. We don't need a new keeper if we get Grindlay signed up IMO. Grindlay is decent enough backup and Jazza is good enough to start.
  8. If we don't sign up guys like Aggy, Megginson and Miller we should give Coleman and McKerracher a real opportunity to prove themselves. Both look like cracking prospects.
  9. Gils is a very clever player, he has good anticipation and links up well with the centre mids, strikers and particularly McGinn at right back. As Paul said at the awards night "he has a massive head but he makes my job so easy".
  10. Great news. Good to see Gils signing up again, you don't get many players staying at Dumbarton these days for 5/6 seasons in a row! Delighted with Prunty staying as well, I love the guy! Graham should be priority now. Such an important player for us.
  11. Shug Murray, McDougall and Smith won't have been offered contracts surely.
  12. I didn't think this song could get any better.I was right.
  13. Round up of the night: Ian Murray, Garry Fleming and Andy Graham will sign up, Chris Turner despises Leigh Griffiths and promises he will "destroy Ian Black" and Bryan Prunty is my hero (with distinctly small feet). Some season!
  14. If/when Ian does leave, do you reckon he'd take Jack Ross with him? Would Jacko want to go or stay on as our manager - he'd be my immediate choice.
  15. Don't know why people are suggesting Flynn. He is an okay keeper who is constanty too far off his line.
  16. Fair enough if they want to come and support the club, chant and create a decent atmosphere but no doubt they'll act like wee fannies and try and batter 'The Drumbeat Mafia'.
  17. I honestly don't think Prunty would leave us through choice. Also, I doubt Owen Ronald will be punted - Murray just named his son after him.
  18. A worry is that we continue this great run and then we are defeated by a heavy score line, which could lead to a loss of confidence in the squad. However, I just can't see that happening. On the injuries/suspensions note; our backup (Aggy, Miller, Fleming, Prunty, Smith, Murray, McDougall etc.) are more than capable of coming in and getting results. Still some games to play but with the management team and squad of players, I cannot see us facing relegation.
  19. And there's absolutely nothing in his history to suggest he's a bigot. Great guy.
  20. Delighted for him. Always seemed like a genuine, intelligent, nice guy with his feet firmly planted on the ground.
  21. If we don't get Kane, I'd take McShane in a heartbeat.
  22. This thread saved our season and will never be changed.
