  1. Really? Our captain and manager were complaining about a piss poor referee? They deserve the jail.To be fair, we did just play on Tuesday so would be tired.
  2. 1 offside goal and 1 penalty that should never have been given.
  3. Kirkpatrick scored. Ian Murray had a right go at the officials at half time.
  4. Ross Smith looks solid and looks like a real leader. Kirkpatrick has got a brilliant touch and can put a good ball in. Yet to see him against 1st division/SPL opposition though.
  5. Murray has said in the Reporter that Riordan is just training for fitness and no trialists will feature on Thursday.
  6. Riordan looked very sluggish playing wide left. Ross Smith and Phinn played very well. Decent game.
  7. When the ball is on it's way down, the keeper must get there first.
  8. Does Grindlay have sun in his eyes every game then? When the ball is 15 feet in the air in the box, the keeper has to get it first and catch it. Grindlay failed to do this twice yesterday, and we were fortunate not to concede another from it.
  9. Linton did not impress me at all today. Smith is a lot better at left back than centre back. Grindlay, once again, had a shocker, as did Agnew.
  10. Owen Ronald will never be half the player Mark Lamont is.
  11. Owen Ronald has signed a one year contract and Jack Ross has registered as a player as well.
  12. @AG_Dumbarton: BREAKING NEWS: Sons have signed striker Kevin Smith on a one-year deal.
  13. @AG_Dumbarton: I believe DFC signing news is imminent..... "@AG_Dumbarton: Trialist defender may be involved today as well. Full news to follow."
  14. Paul McGinn is very quick but can only do so much from right back.
  15. Not slow but not quick either. If that makes sense.
  16. I don't think Kirkpatrick is the type of player we should be looking at. He's been described by Accies fans as 'fairly slow but good technically', exactly how I would describe both Mark Gilhaney and Steven McDougall. I feel we're still lacking pace in the team, apart from Paul McGinn and Mitch Megginson and should be looking to bring in a young, quick winger on loan from the SPL.
  17. Definitely, if we could bring in the next Paul McGinn, Mark Lamont or Scott Smith, I'd be chuffed.I wouldn't mind seeing Fleming and Megginson start up front against Thistle together as they well could be the two main strikers for us next season.
  18. Mark Lamont was an essential part in our promotion. Good player, just lacks physicality. Didn't play many games last season, may be worth a punt. I assume it is Craig McCleish you are talking about, played for us in the Second. Was decent enough but not up to First division standard.
  19. Murray wouldn't play himself because he wants a game, he'd only play himself if he's the best option. Unlike Sons' hero Colin Cameron, who made sure we stayed in the first division.
  20. Mark Lamont was a key player in our promotion season. A very good player who just isn't quite ready for the 1st division, physically. Talk about looking for scapegoats.
  21. I'm sure he'll go Second Division. Part of a team which was promoted from that league two seasons ago and over 20 appearances in the First last season. Surely will attract interest.
  22. Was decent in our promotion season. Played a couple of decent games towards the end of last season. Often over hits crosses. Hits the ball up the park to no-one 90% of the time the ball is with him, which may work with Campbell running on to them, but that's me being very optimistic. I'd imagine he's just training with you for fitness.
