  1. 1. BOBs 2. Forfar 3. East Fife 4. Raith 5. Airdrie 6. Peterhead 7. Stranraer 8. Montrose 9. Somebody else 10. Dumbarton
  2. Is Durnan still injured? I haven't seen Durnan in the flesh, but I wasn't totally sold on Toshney the other night. Also, are you saying 1 up top because we're away on day 1? It's Sammon and McManus surely, unless newbornbairn has been at the crystal ball again.
  3. This thread is equal parts glorious and tragic. Keep it going lads! [emoji23]
  4. I agree. The cricket score analogy is always a bit silly. A rugby score then, whatever. Fair enough trying to stay positive, but you could easily have been on the ass end of an ass whooping.
  5. They had a ton of good chances which they should have done better with, particularly in that first half.
  6. He came on as a sub today it seems against Hartley's team. No proper comedy today, but he was on the pitch long enough to get roasted a few times [emoji3]
  7. My word. Dead rubber and all that, but you could have been looking at a cricket score there!
  8. Absolutely Yes. But to what end though? Being enough of a part of the new ownership to have significant say /be able to protect the club? Buying out the council? Funding the academy? My measly £10 a month or whatever it was is still on the table for any of the above.
  9. He didn't play today, but have you seen any of the highlights with him? He's pure comedy.
  10. We will indeed see what the outcome is, eventually. The screen shots you have posted don't sway me either way. What relevance is it if the likes a train ride now and again?

  12. Certainly property developers do it all the time. That's not to say it's a good thing from our point of view, but it is common. It separates thier other businesses from the development in question. If the development goes Pete Tong, the other entities can carry on trading. The MSG have to ensure, somehow, that the new owners interest in us doesn't end as soon as they develop and sell on the rest of the site.
  13. Actually, East Fife getting a bonus point against Hearts fucked that. Missed that result. Hey ho.
  14. Full time Ayr 2 Stranraer 2. We required 4 other results to go out way. 3 did today, with one meaningful game to come to come tomorrow which has a good chance of coming up. Essentially, we've gone out on goal difference.
  15. That's the game FrEdi. Given the Google results on here in the past 24 hours, these would be reasonable questions.
  16. 4 of the required results for the league Cup are at this moment going our way. Stranraer seem to be making a good fist of it at Ayr, but they need to score twice.
  17. Nice guys as the Ayr contingent on here are, mon Stranraer to make it an interesting afternoon. If Livi play the full match with intensity, they will score as many as they like against Berwick. Thier keeper in particular is woeful, particularly under a high ball.
  18. So you have some stats on how many points per quarter has been achieved by the league winners each season? Much appreciated.
  19. Hopefully the BTB guys can get some real detail out of him in relation to multi club ownership, profits from player sales etc. Would also like to know how all this infrastructure is being paid for and whether we'd end up with a load of unserviceable debts should they give up on our project. What's not to like in the ambitions for the club though!? — grass pitch for better football and to better attract players - completing the stadium and developing the wasteland around it. Are we all agreed the fourth stand should be all standing to boost atmosphere and to be a real USP to attract bigger crowds? - reopening the academy. We were all proud of the academy and there is no doubt it generated a lot of respect and goodwill in the community and beyond. - reintroducing a footballing person into upper management, particularly one as highly respected at Park is. We've seen first hand what can go wrong there without that person there since Smith left. Hopefully he also brings with him a plan to properly support with sport psychologists etc a small number of Brentford model type players, rather than just bring in a load of them and hope for the best as seems to have happened before. Each of these subjects could probably do with it's own thread to discuss. I'm looking forward to the journey. If done properly, we could see our club transformed over the next decade. Short term, the current board need to commit to getting a few more bodies in the door. We'll have played 19 league games by the time the January window opens. We can't be waiting that long for reinforcements.
  20. I've only just clicked onto the naming convention and I was already thinking a 'f**k off Sheps' post was due.
  21. It could be one extra game for the current squad but a couple of extra players for the 14 league games between the transfer windows, and onwards.
  22. Nope. We're likely out. We can finish second above Ayr. Unlikely they'll lose to Stranraer, but there have been lots of strange results so far.
  23. And the main fly in the ointment, Stranraer need to beat Ayr at Somerset [emoji12]
  24. As much as our squad doesn't need the extra game, there is a reasonable chance of us progressing on the league Cup still. An away draw against one of the ugly sisters might loosen the purse strings for an additional couple of bodies. We'd need 4 of the six possible scenarios below to come up. Three of them, A, B and H, will be more likely than not to happen. Group A. Hearts (through) to beat East fife away Group B. St Johnstone to beat Forfar away Group C. Hibs (through) to avoid defeat away to Elgin on the TV on Friday AND Arbroath to lose at home to Alloa Group D. Dundee to beat ICT at home by 2 goals OR ICT to beat Dundee Group E. No result puts us above both Morton and Queen of the South Group F. Draw between Airdrie and Hamilton and Airdrie to win on penalties. Group H. Dunfermline to avoid defeat at home to East Kilbride. Apologies in advance for any hopes raised and dashed come Saturday tea time.
