  1. He played all over. Mostly as a defensive mid and latterly at centre back iirc. He was clearly a class apart from most of our players. I used to shout myself hoarse at Bannon telling him to put Andy gray on (much to the annoyance of the old boys around me in the South Enclosure). Still to this day I can't get my head around why Bannon persisted in not starting him.
  2. 13 months ago I watched in horror as Hartley's heroes were very lucky not to be 4 down at half time against yesterday's opposition. We were in no danger of that yesterday, scored 3 ourselves and had some chances to add to that. Are people getting annoyed that our league 1 team isn't playing like our top end of the championship team of a few years ago? The past few games have been crap, but that yesterday was a good win.
  3. Only really saw the first half. Mikey Doyle [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7] More improvement from Louis was good to see. I had no doubt he'd score when he picked up the ball for the third. 3-0 is a very good result against Forfar. I expected more from them but we dominated them for long spells.
  4. Yogi said that Gow offered more money than MC.
  5. Why would you dissolve a taxi company. Dodgy AF that! [emoji6] Interestingly companies house only lists him as being a director of that other money launderers delight, a barber shop. In Glasgow, during his time as falkirk manager.
  6. What kind of reception is MC gonna get? Do you think he'll be in the South stand, in with the real fans? (I've never been in the south stand BTW)
  7. I thought we were badly outclassed in midfield in the second half.
  8. You're quoting my comment from half time. First half we did pass quite quickly at times. Usually it's the turgid second half pish.
  9. Fair play to Raith. By far the better team in the second half and well deserved in the end. For our pen (since someone was asking) , it looked like the ball kept on a straight course and neither player touched it. I was cautiously optimistic at half time, that we could get back into that game too... [emoji19]
  10. That's fucking soft as f**k too [emoji36]
  11. That's a bit better performance. Passing on midfield has been much quicker. We've hit the bye line a number of times. Johnstone has dropped to link the play very well. Unfortunately that means he's not been in the box when the ball gets played in. I'd be tempted to sacrifice a defender to have someone in the box in that scenario. More like it from Longridge. A definite improvement on recent performances from him. First time we've seen Miller properly and he looks decent so far. Hoping for more from Leitch and Moore. Striker backs in for the penalty. Crap decision and not overly impressed with the ref.
  12. This thread has turned into the antithesis of a crowd w**k. It turns out some of the moralistic boycotters just CBA. This is how Falkirk becomes the next Raith Rovers. Chin up lads. Tomorrow's game, meaningless as it kinda is, has the potential to be a cracker.
  13. I'm driving home soon. Don't be responsible for a tragic incident as I frantically refresh every social media channel at 60(honestly) mph. Get it telt (please).
  14. Hates the current owners and has nothing but contempt for MC. Will only happen with a revived Gow bid and that's not until the new year at least.
  15. This is my biggest worry about him. The current board need to set up some mechanism in the club to stop transfer of assets happening without agreement of MC+say10% of the shareholders. It's surely do-able. If MCs intentions are honourable then he won't have an issue with that.
  16. Good. About all clyde fans have talked about this week is how poor their full backs are. Let's actually test them!
  17. Is there any danger of MC being able to sue the club, for expenses or whatever, if they are just messing him about? That would be peak MSG. (Not seriously asking btw).
  18. I stand corrected. I've been to TFS on non match days only a handful of times.
  19. Having tendered a replacement pitch recently I can confirm it's not cheap. Rule of thumb seems to be the pitch should last 5 years. Cheap sock pad 5 years also and a good one 10 years. Given the relatively light use our pitch gets, we might expect more than that. There's plenty of variables, particularly the type of fill material, but you're looking at £275-400k to replace the pitch. If the shock pad (layer below the turf) needs replaced then you can add the best part of £100k to that.
  20. If you think people haven't been asking him questions, sometimes awkward questions on twitter, you haven't been paying attention.
  21. He doesn't respond to questions about himself as far as I can see. I asked him, after similar chat on here a couple of weeks ago, and quite politely I think, if he could tell us a bit about his coffee business. Perhaps my tweet was just overlooked in the twitter melee?
  22. They're best left to thier own devices. Still reeling from the BOB experience it seems.
  23. Nobody is saying he isn't. I fucking hated seeing Paul Paton play for us and technically they're night and day. What I am saying is he operates at about the same speed, especially when he's got to turn or defend. Maybe I was expecting too much from him. He's a good player, but he's a luxury one and I'm not totally sold on him.
