  1. Agree with all this, but especially the last point. We've seen a number of times (yesterday and last week being prime examples) of teams coming flying out of the blocks but unable to keep up the intensity and we rope-a-dope them. We didn't get the goals last week against a better team, but it was the same pattern. I'm Looking forward to Tuesday.
  2. 100% If only MacMillan could cut out the stinking games and play to his potential more often...
  3. Looks a cracking game played at a really high pace. Perhaps lucky to get away with the handball at 3-2 and Bowie and Tait tried thier best to miss the third and fourth goals. Fine margins and all that.
  4. I can't decide between connolly or Miller for MOM. Thought Miller was outstanding today. Thought Hall started poorly but seemed to settle and come onto a game. Today wasn't really a test though. Nice to see a centre back get a header on target. The other two have both missed tons of chances from set pieces. I thought Todd too took a while to get up to speed, but hopefully some game time under his belt will help. Looked very decent second half. De Vita looks a decent player as well. Some nice touches and deliveries. I'd still have Louis ahead of him though. Doyle had a much better game today. Again, not tested at the back, but going forward his crosses were much better than usual. Hall mentioned in his interview he'd been practicing crossing with him in the week and it has played off. Doyle's engine coupled with good deliveries would be quite a weapon and I could go back to loving him. Doyle, de vita, connolly and Dixon all put good crosses into the box today. I think MacMillan would have had a field day getting onto them. Instead we had sammon somehow perfecting the technique of jumping downwards when the ball came near him. It's one thing being shit at winning headers from long balls, but being a striker who won't attack a header is a problem. Very little in the way of link up play from him again today too. I don't think it's a totally a coincidence that we started ripping Forfar open when he went off, although they were there for the taking and I thought at half time we might go on to win by 4, despite the first half performance.
  5. Sammon has improved this half, but I think MacMillan with his aerial ability would love all these crosses coming in.
  6. I'm hoping there is a bit of rustiness from the new lads. They certainly need to get to know thier teammates a bit better. The referee is nipping my head also and I think contributing to the lack of atmosphere. I hope we score a few this half.
  7. Right bairns. Let's #juggernaut this lot today! (football gods, gimme a week of feeling genuinely positive about my team, please)
  8. No doubt. But I can't see them signing a forward with the number of strikers we have already. Unless MacMillan is shipped out...
  9. BSLM has said on a few occasions that he sees himself as emergency forward cover. We have 3 or 4 strikers (counting Louis) already. Full back is the only place I'd look at now if Hall is an improvement on the current CBs
  10. My point was, as you have backed up with your analysis, that we aren't likely to pull away from airdrie this weekend. Would be delighted to be wrong about that.
  11. Airdrie at home to Stranraer and Raith at home to montrose. Should be as you were come 5 o'clock on Saturday.
  12. I think cracks has had a word in Durnan's ear. He was very 'safety first' on Saturday. Not dribbling out from defence, or stuff like that. If he was under any pressure he launched it into touch. Maybe, if he rethinks his moaning c**t attitude also, there could be a player there. Maybe, Arbroath scoring only 18 goals in 21 games shows he was just up against shit opposition. [emoji2368]
  13. 4:25pm Saturday 18 January 2020 Conor Sammon connects with a header in the box.
  14. As I say that, the video comes back [emoji16]
  15. The audio stream is working though.
  16. I take it FTV video is dead but the audio will stay on?
  17. Bobby linn loves a good roll, long after a challenge.
  18. Arbroath much more physical than us. Pushing high and we don't have the passing technique to deal with it. They're also breaking on us quite quickly which looks dangerous but hasn't really troubled us yet. Gomis had a shot deflected onto the top of the net but little else in the way of chances. Coming into the game a bit more now. Maybe the high press is taking its toll on arbroath legs? Connolly by far our best player so far. My love affair with Mikey Doyle is dead.
  19. Looking forward to a good competitive game. Don't think there will be much in it and if we perform on the day we could come away with a win. 2-1 bairns
  20. I used to think this too... Caldwell had him playing there in one game I saw on TV. He had a shite game.
