Really good book, gets better as it goes on. Took me a couple of days. Just finished the latest omnibus of Glenn Cook's Black Company books. Currently reading Pillars of the Earth series by Ken Follett, split with James Patterson books cos I can manage one of them in a few hours, nice and easy reading.

Not the one I was referring to, but used to live right across the road from there! Still usually went to the Buther's on Hutcheon St.

New here. Used to play a bit, only sport I was never injured playing (broken ankle at school hockey, several dislocated fingers and a torn ankle ligament playing golf!) One of the most sporting games around, luck enough to meet some really great folks. Best memory: Scoring a goal after a 50 yard run through their defence, only to throw-up immediately afterwards behind the goal. Balotelli doesna celebrate like that eh?

People not knowing the difference between their, there and they're; oh and not knowing the difference between butter and shitty margarine spreads. Chocolate.

First: Torry in Aberdeen isna that bad. I lived there for 5 years right beside the prison and never felt unsafe. Now mebbe Northfield, Kincorth, Tilly or Seaton............... Second. Livingston, Bathgate, Broxburn ARE shit. Maybe no by central belt standards, but I hear people are seeking assylum to North Korea........ Thirdly. Sorry to fellow Highlanders, but Dingwall. Only time I ever went into a bar and saw the barmaid? (dubious pecies let alone gender) wipe her nose on a bar towel before putting it down then serving us. the continued her chat with the only other patron about scramingly unsuccessful surgery! On a slightly side not, worst bar I ever went ito was in Aberdeen, in Woodside. It's now a funeral home and can only be a happier place for it!
