  1. It was a decent venue I always thought. Wasn't really a fan of the big empty bits behind the goals but all things considered it was a good, interesting ground. The clubhouse was quite distinctive. Surprised someone hasn't taken the goalposts for their back garden yet. There must be a few items lying about that would make good souvenirs.
  2. That picture of Adamslie is thoroughly depressing. It must bring up all sorts of emotions for KRR fans.
  3. The interviews are always a nice touch. Cheers for posting.
  4. cheers mate, hopefully there's a fixture when I'm over.
  5. cheers, I'd probably just bite the bullet and pay extra if necessary seeing as it's a one-off. I'm unlikely to feel too ripped off- having a lifetime of attending Scottish football behind me, I'm conditioned to hand over generous sums of money in exchange for shite.
  6. Is it easy enough getting tickets for games in Holland? I'm over in Amsterdam in October and wouldn't mind taking a game in.
  7. turned out to be a great game. 5-2 Hartlepool and two teams who tried to play a bit of passing football. great away support from the monkey molesters or whatever they call themselves, probably the best 90 minute support I've seen all season. Suppose it helps to go two up in eight minutes. feel a bit sorry for Morecambe because they look like a side trying to play the right way but really don't have the tools.
  8. The big one today: Morecambe v Hartlepool. win or lose, the result is sure to matter not a solitary f**k! thought it might be a bit of a relegation decider when I bought the tickets but it now looks like the epitome of end of season meaninglessness with both sides all but safe. still, it's a wee jaunt to the sea side.
  9. Going to Morecambe v Hartlepool in April. Shaping up as a good, meaty relegation scrap as long as neither his a purple patch and fucks it up for me.
  10. doesn't look that busy. Much of a turn out?
  11. Preston v QPR today - if that was indicative of the standard of Championship football then the marketing men earn every penny by polishing this turd to a high sheen. plenty of players willing to boot lumps out of each other which is fine but it's also something that costs six quid to see in the Juniors. This was a surprisingly unrefined game for a supposedly good division. nice set up at Deepdale though and a decent enough crowd of about 12k. As always the English match day experience is much more relaxed and enjoyable than Scotland. It's still weird to see folk walking around the concourse with a beer while families drink soup from flasks they'd never be allowed into an SPL ground. Out in the stands the fans, players and staff all interact freely, with stewards more or less acting like ushers rather than banana republic police. the English game might be hyped up to f**k in order to lure fans in, but they obviously feel happy to keep going along because they aren't treated like cuunts every week. Why we're not copying everything we can from them I've no idea.
  12. Ah right, that's where my daft pal sometimes ended up when coming down for a cross border session. Ah think the Celtic Nation novelty soon wore off and it just ended up as pub sessions with no football.
  13. funnily enough I was perusing this thread as the train I'm travelling to Preston on passed the ground of Carlisle City. Quite a small but perfectly formed wee ground but a total first to find out they exist.
  14. Preston v QPR this weekend. Should be daicent. A baw hair between them and both still entertaining hopes of the play affz.
  15. Cool, I'll definitely be looking into this a bit further.
  16. Cheers for that, a couple of decent prospects in there as well as teams I'd never heard of. Will try and get along to someone with decent crowds and a bit of atmosphere. I take it that's about Junior standard football and crowds?
  17. Cheers. I was thinking Blackburn anyway as I'm interested in seeing how Lambert is doing but hadn't considered Accrington. Will try and get to at least one of them before the season ends. To be honest I don't really expect much from the standard of the football anyway, it's more just a day out somewhere new and a few drinks that I'm after. Decent football is just a welcome bonus!
  18. Heading down for the PNE v QPR game in March, really looking forward to it. Where else is good for a match in that part of the World? Preferably lower league.
  19. Agreed - it's great hearing a bit of commentary. Far more engaging for the general viewer.
  20. If I turn up on the day of the Dundee derby will I get a ticket easy enough? I'm a neutral so not bothered about what end I'm in. Cheers.
