  1. It also says that the use of sterling shouldn't be an open ended commitment. It's a motion from what you describe as the "top tier" to appeal to what you're assuming to be the idealists lower down.
  2. You do know of the motion Keith Brown and Derek Mackay are putting forward at the next conference, right?
  3. I didn’t know Jim Murphy was still a thing.
  4. The use of language is standard fare for such an article that is not unique to Corbyn or Labour. Also its complaints not a complaint. All i'm saying is it's a dangerous game to just completely write something off when they're clearly concerned individuals coming forward with their experiences. I don't mean to be rude but Detournement comes across as a complete conspiracy theory nut job and looking at your posts you seem to love yourself a wee conspiracy as well. When you cry conspiracy all the time it makes me question your argument when discussing something where the lines are a bit more blurred.
  5. Does there come a point where we stop saying this is all just a hatchet job? The EHRC must have something to go on to consider such action surely?
  6. It’s a telegraph journo with the rumour. He says the two votes would then take place the week after with a further vote on her deal.
  7. Also, latest Twitter rumour is that if she doesn’t get her deal through next week, she’ll pull the votes on Wed and Thurs for no deal and an extension . I just don’t know what to believe/think anymore
  8. Great, so do I. Im sure the use of the term scheme goblin wouldn’t go down too well. Perhaps you would like to apologise to the chap for your insulting tone and abusive language?
  9. I completely agree with that. All the more pity that Labour isn’t in a position to capitalise. They are letting down people who they’re meant to represent.
  10. I don't believe that. What I believe is that the Labour party encompasses people who have completely different views on things and it doesn't make for a particularly successful political formula. Whether they're a Blairite or a Corbynista or whatever ever else, the biggest battle always seems to be to win the power struggle in their own party first and foremost, all the while the Tories are making a complete mess of things for the less fortunate. The Antisemitism debate i don't really get involved in because I am pretty ignorant about it. I don't know if the issue is widespread because i'm not around the people who would be effected by it or the ones who would perpetrate it. Whilst it is clear that some are using it as a stick to beat Corbyn with , I also don't think it is helpful to dismiss it out of hand as I have seen some on here come pretty close to. But ultimately what it amounts to is party squabbling among itself whether or not it has a problem with this stuff and a grateful media is lapping it up.
  11. What? My point, incase you have missed it, is that the Labour party spends so much time arguing among themselves that it nullifies their effectiveness as an opposition.
  12. Imagine if Labour people put as much effort into fighting the Tories as they do fighting each other. That would be quite something.
  13. I suspect he has no interest.
  14. Please god can we exile "Packie" Bonnar post Independence?
  15. Apologies if it's been asked previously but how has Barry Mcguire performed for you boys since his loan move? Presuming not a complete disaster going by his national call up.
  16. More speculation this morning of clubs looking at Hastie. It will be interesting to see how his on-field play adapts to this higher profile. From what I saw of the Killie game he was being doubled up on, which nullified his threat. If he's to become a top player he will have to learn to overcome that.
  17. I've somehow managed to delete that post so thanks for quoting. From my end FWIW, I was in the Westminster last week and all the chat was that she was gonna get it through, I was semi convinced then hence my post. However, I would add throughout all this i've heard various predictions from lets say ITK people and invariably they turn out to be wrong, so there is that.
  18. Sticking my neck out and going to predict that May will get her deal through. You can BOOKMARK this.
  19. Even the prelims are stacked. Can’t wait.
  20. Don't worry i've enough ire to go round But yes, i agree with your points about a No deal brexit in relation to Indy. But actually in terms of a post independence landscape the closer Britian is aligned to the EU the better it would be for Scotland. That kinda leaves you in a weird situation of assuming that a no deal makes indy more likely but would leave us in Scotland in a trickier position post a successful Yes vote.
  21. Hate to hark back to this but you voted for Brexit in the hope that the fallout would lead to indy. Hypocrisy it’s called.
  22. I agree with you about the 2017 election. I think/hope the SNP has learned it’s leason from that. In terms of a future election I was referring more to a snap UK election, that the SNP would run on an Indy manifesto.
