What do people think if Salmond wins his court case against the Scot Gov? That wouldn’t prove his innocence but does severely damage the Scot Gov ie. the First Minister. This court case isn’t about whether or not he did what he has been accused of but rather the process of the investigation into him. I’m only really coming to terms with how messy this could be. I don’t know what the accusations are btw, but there are rumours, that’s for sure.

Leaving aside the boalk inducing self congratulatory tone of that article (given the subject(s) being discussed). I find it strange that they feel comfortable making details of the accusations public and how they came across the information, seeing as we’re now into a legal process. As for my thoughts, Tricia Marwick, said it best- if you know nothing and have nothing to say, say nothing at all.

You’re missing the point, the story was coming out anyway. Salmond’s trying to lead the narrative, which will of course be almost impossible against a hostile media. No idea if the claims are true, I hope not, but let’s wait and see.

Solely on the political forum, think it’s a bit unfair to lump Pep in with the rest of those head cases actually. Aye he can be counter productive to the campaigns that he believes in, with the way he goes on. But quite often, I actually think he knows what he’s talking about. That’s the point though, half the Labour Party is involved in this stich up of Corbyn, who is believe it or not, the leader of the Labour Party. It’s the perfect example of why the Labour Party are a fucking abject failure as an opposition. I think the point is; the fact that Labour are up against the most incompetent Tory Government, certainly in my living memory, and the polls are even close, let alone Labour trailing gives an insight into how lowly the British public view them as a party, in their current form.

Recent polling seems to be suggesting Labour tearing itself apart on this has had an effect. Without getting into the rights and wrongs on the issue, in political terms Labour are, and perhaps forever will be, completely ineffectual. Continually grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory.
