  1. Yes, though heard today that Buffalo is averaging almost 40 points a game over the last 8 weeks. I don't think Rivers has enough to stop them.
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-55587230 Feel sorry for the police having to work in these circumstances, someone calls in a suspicion of a gathering, the woman here starts screaming at them, and now the tinfoil hat crowd are all over it claiming we're halfway to a police state. [just realised this was already posted a few pages back, my bad]
  3. RedTV has become hopeless with Chromecast this year. I tried 3 times to cast the post-match videos this evening, and gave up. YouTube and BT Sport cast perfectly to the same TV, so I presume it's a RedTV issue.
  4. The bookies seem to have Viking slight favourites, they are 7/5 and AFC 9/5.
  5. I hope you're both right. Some think she was referring to this weekend: https://twitter.com/ChrisMusson/status/1303663402263478273?s=20
  6. Following the press conference today, seems like there's a more than fair chance that Saturday's trial games won't go ahead. An announcement tomorrow Giving the go-ahead on Tuesday, then suggesting less than 24 hours later that it won't go ahead sounds a bit amateurish to me.
  7. Editor's note: Hibernian FC did not win a single European tie from 1989 to 2018.
  8. Yes. July 27 - half a dozen players went out on the lash in Seefeld July 28 - goalless draw with Xanthi in Westendorf (the game I attended) July 30 - pumped 6-0 by Olympiakos, McKimmie sent off with 5 mins to go (he was one of the players fined for the booze incident) https://www.thefreelibrary.com/DONS+SIX+GO+ON+pounds+12%2c000+BOOZE-UP%3b+Roy+hands+out+record+fines.-a061257815
  9. Patrick Chung just became the sixth to opt out. I'm not sure I would give the season any better than 50/50 odds of being completed with the way things are going, especially after the Marlins news yesterday.
  10. Maybe I'm moving in the wrong circles, but selling your stake in a company for more than £500m seems relatively successful to me. https://www.scottishfinancialnews.com/article/former-aberdeen-fc-chief-executive-scoops-567m-in-company-sale
  11. Heart of Midlothian meet none of the criteria but they are incredibly litigious in the very best traditions of America.
  12. I think it will be the 9th semi final during his tenure.
  13. Trophies won in the last 50 years, excluding those won by Ferguson, and shite like the Tennents Sixes. Hearts: 3 Hibs: 4 Dons: 6
  14. Following on from the ceremony last night at Pittodrie, there are now 26 people in the Aberdeen FC Hall of Fame. How many can you name? Surname only is fine. https://www.sporcle.com/games/jld2608/aberdeen-fc-hall-of-fame
  15. Fraid not. Only happens when next round is drawn before current one is concluded.
  16. Foolish, but unsurprising that our game at Parkhead on Aug 27 hasn't been chosen for TV coverage. I'm sure Kilmarnock vs RFC the same weekend will be marvellous viewing for BT subscribers though.
  17. We (rightly) got slaughtered after bad results versus Skonto Riga, Bohemians and Vilnius, so I don't think that's true. You're not the first person this week to try and turn a bad result for Aberdeen into a Celtic issue. It's a bit weird. There's a chart here from @BytheminAFC which shows the relative performance of Scottish teams versus their seeding. Interesting reading.
  18. Bohemians + Brondby with the Dons for me. Grand total of one og scored in two away games. Also a friendly versus FC Xanthi in Austria - only 3 Dons fans there. Game was moved across Austria at the last minute so we had to traipse across the country for 2 hours on the train, then wait for the midnight train back to Innsbruck. Thank goodness for Interrail passes.
  19. I suppose it would been in Hearts' interests to get rid of any seeding period, having failed to achieve anything more noteworthy than beating Valerenga in the last 50 years.
  20. Flocks sake, what's happening to schools in the Central Belt? A tie can be 2 legs. Game, match = 1 leg. On a serious note, we both better hope that UEFA regionalise the draw this time. Playing a team from Macedonia or Kosovo in June won't be very easy.
  21. Last six European opponents, your only progression was against Paks. The other five were exits. Remind us what bit was false Mr Mensa?
  22. It's that kind of lackadaisical attitude that leads to Hearts having less of a European pedigree than Killie and the Pars.
  23. 1,000 page thread on Kickback about Rangers' misdemeanours, but a wee question about European seeding is getting you riled. Poor show.
