What a shambles Morton are. Destined to finish rock bottom of a league featuring 3 part-time clubs and Raith Rovers. Their fans must be mortified.
Don't you mortonfied

Canny beat a bit of infighting

Wont be long before england are 90s esque. Especially with giles at the helm. Woeful last 20 overs to both inns

Interesting article. The comment about getting himself out rather than a good ball is bang on, although he was got out plenty times falling for obvious traps. Some might argue bowling to a plan results in a/the good ball - the hook line and sinker moment needs to be right often enough to be effective.

Next ashes is 2015, like I said.
My mistake, I swore I read that about the extended gap between the just finished and next Ashes but obviously not.
I see in the ICC FTP that Eng are back in Aus in 4 years time and the mormal cycle resumes so there has effectively been an extra Ashes squeezed in.

Think ENG went backwards in ODI cricket since giles took over. They were no 1 at that point and also rans again now. They need someone to inject pride and hunger as opposed to letting players rest on their central contract laurels. dont recall the core aussie world beaters slacking over 10+ years but the ENG team has fractures since peter moores gate that have not been mended.
I would dump kp and rebuild.

Yes, so 18 months time. And then 2016/17 after than.
No. this winter the ashes was brought forward to suit england who didnt want to play ashes and the world cup same winter. the current ashes was supposed to be next winter. always thought that thinking was flawed. next ashes is 2017 season i think.

Cook and bailey top scorers oberall for 5 tests. finn the choice to begin third seamer but broad and mitch for bowling honours over the piece. prior to win the keeper match up by a mile and a difficult m3-1 to eng to bringit home

But what if this actually baby was names after the character from dirty dancing!
I'm not 100% on whether that was a nickname in the movie or her actual name but people do name their kids after some weird shit these days.
nickname. her name was frances i think

and the one day series will have no bearing on it. for a while it looked like eng might actually give a f**k about no test cricket but clearly not. still prefer to be a good teat team than a bunch of sloggers and slow ballers. one day cricket is shit.

but the second string change bowlers have really let aus back and they look like they will post a total that can be defended if eng also end up 70-4 or 120-5

getting asked to go to a meeting that starts at 5pm on a friday

That's how I felt, fuss over nothing. Australian media calling England 'crass and arrogant' is hilarious.
Growing up during Australia's dominance has made me absolutely love this series. The more Broad pisses the Aussies off the more I like him. More of the same in the winter please!
completely agree

coz if there was evee a stereotype one day player it is morgan. technique well found out in test matches

why all on a downer about england professionally plugging away when there is no onus on them but to give aus nothing in advance ofbthe away leg.
they are in the main looking for form having already won the series despite not being at their best and shouldnt be doing anything that gives aus a sniff.
if they needed something yoj wojld see a different approach but they didnt.
had to laugh at faulkner the debutant suggesting the crowd get their money back for yesterday. it was old fashioned test cricket and he is playing in a side that has been second best. fanny. he is hardly in a position to throw stones.

Can I still post "Kerri pies"?
That was a proper choke, was awful to watch but they need to stick with him for the rest of the match.
On the other hand, Woakes was exactly as I thought, decent enough odi bowler but he's not going to get guys out in tests.
Watson played well, was probably due a break and got it when the lbw was turned down when he was in single figures. Plenty of umps would have given that one and he would have been unable to overturn it.
I havent seen that big a bottle crash in a debutever I don't think. I certainly cant think of anything quite as bad.
Khan for England a few yeard back. If memory serves he was Danish and made his debut vs WI in the carribean and strayed it all over the place. Sure Vaughan was skipper and he was better off playing with 10 men

there is no chance of anderson not playing if he is fit - he will get rested for the odi and t20 series following the last test if anything.
had bresnan been iffy they *might* have brought in tremlett or finn but he came up with the big wicket when it mattered and his runs with the tail were the icing on the cake.
same 11 for eng at the oval. aus will depend on what they want from the game with an eye on the home series. the first test is late november and i guess they will already have a thought on who bats 3 and 5.
there is an arguement to bring back hughes at 3 and kuwaka at 5 jusg to look at how it pans out. kuwaja has talent but 1st wicket down in english conditions is not easy and i think he is a better batsman than smith overall.
the bowling line up could be anything depending on fitness and conditions apart from agar will defo not play.
