  1. Don’t want to get into a “did it or didn’t it debate” because you just end up going round in circles and ultimately it wasn’t given, but the angle I had in the stand, it was as clear as day to me. This video is on our Instagram account so I’ll let others decide, as I said, a draw was fair in my opinion

Fair enough looking at that it looks likely it went in. I was sitting opposite the away dugout and it look a routine push on to the bar from there
  2. Didn’t think the ball went in to be honest and don’t recall the so called penalty incident either.

One of the worst games I have been to in my puff.

This team can’t score goals and that’s why we are bottom. Thought we might try to go for it a bit more as the game went on. And if we did then it just shows how lacking we are. No urgency whatsoever.

  3. Just to chip in in the Renton debate, until Liam this season we never once had anyone be prepared to be alongside him or gamble on him winning a flick on. at the start of the season I thought with Liam they linked up well and we were on to a winner.

Take the point about him being better defending in the box but for the last how many years he has had to win a punt up the park and win the second ball as well.

And he is a million miles better than Carty horse.

  4. Ompreon getting MOM is just a joke. What for - running about?

He had two golden chances to win that today, the only thing missing was a red carpet to welcome the ball into the net. Same for the other new boy.

They just looked frantic and I felt Stenny contributed to that with several defensive errors.

It didn’t affect the result but would not have dropped Gill.

Missing all of the chances did affect the result and giving away a soft did too that’s the story of many games recently.

  5. Thought the ref was going to lose control of that game.

Cowden defended well today, from set pieces especially and worked hard for the points.

Wouldn’t have complained if it was a draw but as I said to a couple of Rovers fans walking out, makes up for being robbed of the goal at the last gasp at Central Park.

  6. The raging Rovers fans didn’t help.

I have no idea what the penalty was for, I can only guess hand ball

They seem to have dragged a few out today with anger issues.

The only thing I saw, and if it was this it was extremely soft, was Denham challenged for a header and the Rovers boy went over the top of him.

  7. As for Millers sending off 5 minutes before full time what was he thinking which could have sadly cost us 3 points. Hopefully lessons learned there.

He is never going to learn but to be fair it was a bit harsh on him today. His knee did appear to make contact with the guys face/head but not sure there was any intention. He was getting booked for something else, think it was kicking the ball away, before the linesman intervened for the ref to give a straight red.

  9. Seems Coulson looked OK for you lot versus Stenny. What’s the shape of his play these days, still very raw?

He improves every week and you just wonder if he had been given a chance earlier if both club and player would be better off for it already.

He will develop under MoRo. Had no chance under previous management.

I believe Cowdenbeath usually produce a (very good) match programme.

I never saw any for sale on Saturday (granted I was a minute or two late getting in) but did see a chap with what looked one in his hand.

In short, anyone know where I can pick up a copy of Saturday's programme (assuming there was one)?

I get one every home game but don't tend to read it.  If you want mine and donate as per the FB post below and PM me your address and proof of payment, I'll send it to you.

  11. I looked at the pre Christmas issue of our programme and it was 7 behind.
Eitherway we need a Dumbo style start to 2022.
All the clubs above us seem to take points off each other so if we had a run could make in roads.
Still a tough task though very much depends on who comes in.
The Lino at the Accies game was Lorraine Clark ,  now Watson, a Fifer.
Boy who was sent off was Andy Ryan.
Great day that only about 50 or 60 Cowden fans there to witness it.

Think we are saying the same thing. They were 7 behind on 5 points. After 18 games they were level with games in hand.

I was at Hamilton that day it was superb. I remember it was a female ljno. Hamilton posters said we made more noise that day than most visitors all season.
  12. From what I can see it was 7

I did some research, nothing else to do.

It was 5 pts in nov, then Murray came in but Dumbarton didn’t play very much for a few weeks and it was still 5 at Xmas. IIRC their pitch waterlogged regularly.

Then they won 5 of next 6 to get going.

At 18 games in as we are now they had 17 points. They finished with 43, winning 8 and drawing 2 of second half of the season.

The same second half performance would put us on 36 points, debatable if that is enough without someone collapsing.

Stringing together a few wins to get us going would give everyone a bit of encouragement.

One other thing looking this up reminded me of. We went to Hamilton on the last day of the season needing the Pars to lose and us to win to avoid the relegation playoff.

Petulant kick out near the corner flag in front of the lino a la Beckham style saw Hamilton player see red and the rest was history.
