Would need to check but Dumbarton must have been miles further back than this a few years ago in the championship when Murray came in. From memory they only had 3 points.
Nothing is impossible. Unlikely but not impossible.0 -
Hope your not too bad Willie.
Somewhere between a bad cold and a light flu. Should be fine, cheers.2 -
Anyone want an adult and child ticket for tomorrow? Isolating and can’t go.
1 -
I got 2 tickets it didn’t say anything about home or away just what end of the ground.
I didn’t know about the previous two purchase thing but as luck has it I have been to NCP twice, as rather than go alone to Elgin away earlier in the season I took in their game vs Forfar.1 -
Last two games on paper we should have been looking at 4-6 points if we were going to salvage anything.
The way the games have panned out it’s 5 points dropped and feel he’s building a team now for 2 games at the end of the season.
Surprised Miller came off at half time tonight thought he was on one of his better games trying to support the attack. Just proved that Hutton is done.
Was sceptical of Todd when he was first signed but he played within his limitations and was pretty solid. This season he has been a bomb scare.
Been a big supporter of Swann but this and Stranraer game say Coulson deserves it more than him. Such a waste of talent.
Doesn’t matter how much of the game you have if you are powder puff in front of goal you don’t win, you might not always lose but you defo don’t win.
City got two goals out of a really hard working and tenacious no 26 tonight with a MOM performance and a free header from a corner that came from shit communication at the back.
Plenty of things that can be sorted but might be 10 points adrift in 10 days time.
A midfielder and a forward and a lot of luck required.0 -
The pen was a carbon copy of the one he took at Kelty at start of the season

No way was Todd a penalty it was point blank range.

ls everyone too cheesed off to bother commenting on Saturdays game? Travelled 150 miles in pouring rain only to miss the first goal as I was too busy watching Mullen and the Stranraer no 2 having a stand up fight in the middle of the park. Mullen's temperament really is a problem Second goal took a big deflection and was scored while Craig Barr was off getting treatment. Here endeth the excuses. Same team as finished last week but not the same performance. Give the manager his due, he took Hutton off at half time, swapped things around and we were the better side in the second half, but you never had the feeling we were going to get back in it Hit the bar and squandered three half decent chances. It is vital that we improve our finishing. Ross Clarke is about the only player who hasn't had a run out under the new boss. I imagine there will be some changes come January but in the mean time we have two home games we really must get something from
About sums it up. I was also too busy watching the scrap in the centre circle to see the first goal.
Gave away two shit goals and too soft with the chances we had. You’re not going to beat any keeper with weak shooting.
Coulson made a difference when he came on but didn’t try to commit defenders when he got in the box.
We let their number 2 boss the midfield.0 -
Gary Bollan is available

Shocking. Everyone’s been predicting terrible weather. Surely that could have been called off much earlier.
Elgin would have been waiting for the Ref to see if the anticipated precipitation would have helped the pebbles bed in0 -
Other than picking the ball out of the net, Stirling keeper had nothing to do.
Maybe so but Cowden wasted several golden opportunities to make him pick it out the net a few more times and deserved to win by a greater margin than 1-0.2 -
Hopefully it’s not too dry

El Coalasico.
Oh and the new strip is a belter.
Saw it called El Classicoal elsewhere.
New strip suits that title0 -
If we win on Saturday does it change anything anyone thinks about the manager?
I tend not to knee jerk but even I think we need a change. And I also think it will compound the financial impact if he is still in charge on Saturday and we lose.
I think we are far more likely to lose if he is there than if he is not so I would prefer he is out this week.0 -
2 points dropped. Fucking freezing. Should have won by a canter. City not a patch on the last few seasons, thought the teams had swapped shirts.

My only prediction is it will be bloody freezing.
I have contemplated digging the jeans out for this one0 -
Agree with albion20’s assessment. 4-0 flatters Stirling I think. Not going to moan about the result though.
Will moan about having to revert to 442 before half time again.
Special mention for the lack of supervision for the crèche. And to the crèche themselves for knowing some of the words and phrases at their age even if they don’t actually know what half of it means. Made it a cringeworthy afternoon.0 -
We were awful first half. Forfar were much the better team and could have been at least 2 goals up. Might as well not have bothered to put on a midfield as the hoofball we inevitably resorted to by-passed the middle of the park completely. Second half was much better and we played some decent stuff on the ground and definitely looked the part when we moved the ball around quickly. Thought Clarke had an excellent game. Apart from the goal, which was excellent, Thomson had an off day, which is unusual for him. Lets hope the boys took some confidence from the second half performance as they looked woefully short of it first half. We absolutely need Morrison fit asap as the centre mid looks to be lacking with nobody good enough to really support Hutton, which he needs.
I thought Clarke was all at sea especially when we were 3 at the back. On that subject hopefully that’s the 352 experiment ditched for good.0 -
If that doesn’t keep Mullen away from free kicks I don’t know what will

Anyone know what the ref and the lino were in deep discussion about in the first half before speaking to the stenny bench

I always felt big Nat was better in defence than midfield, unless he’s got dramatically more mobile and athletic over the last few seasons?
Same player we always saw today0 -
Btw. The Elgin goalie did a worldie to prevent (Kyle ?) scoring an open goal. Agree it was a vey composed finish for the new lad.
Thought it was Buchanan for his hatteick0 -
Always think a game against Elgin is a measure of where you are at considering they are generally above half way every season.
Thought we could and should have had more than 3 and it was good for the lad to score his first senior goal. First real chance in front of goal for him in the times he has come on and he took it well.4 -
Will league games now be pay at the gate for non season ticket holders or still online ticketing?
