Been understandably quiet on here for a bit with the lack of fixtures, hope the team aren’t too rusty, should be well rested.
I don’t have a Facebook account but can view the Cowdenbeath page, and looks like a fair support hearing down tomorrow. Weather looks a bit pishy though.
Hope Maurice has got a plan to keep Liam B quiet, seems to be about their only outlet for goals these days.
He will put him on the bench0 -
Numbers are hard to predict.
Plenty 3-0 score lines in Cowden games this season1 -
Well done to the players and management for putting 2 good results together under a bit of pressure. I was shocked at some comments after the edi uni game eg they had chances and we weren't great etc etc. We won 3 nil and as today proved with edi uni beating east kilbride who have spent a LOT of money on their players it shows this is a difficult league and anyone can beat any1 I thought at time comments for our win against uni team were harsh.
Anyhow 2 good results and 2 clean sheets. Miles of improvement left in this group but they know that so wont get carried away.
Good few training sessions now for the group before a massive scottish cup tie against boness who are a right good team with good players.
Would be gr8 to get through the round from a financial aspect as much as anything.
Well done to the fans who were excellent and encouraging. It's very important.
Mon the cowden.
I’m not getting excited by beating two out of three teams who were absolute dogshit and if they took any of their chances could be leaving with points. The last two games had keeper howlers at important times in the match.
I agree it’s two good results and that there’s miles of improvement but it’s a hard watch and I don’t bank on any more points coming to Central Park until we play any of the last 3 league opponents next time round.
I would be stunned but delighted if Cowden are still in the draw* in a couple of weeks.
* give Bo’ness a pasting1 -
John Herron? He can only have played about 3 games for us before getting injured - was it at Dumbarton?
Yes it was at Dumbarton. He looked good too in a Cowden shirt up until that point0 -
Doesn’t matter who it is we will lose anyway. By my reckoning 4 of last 6 seasons we lost to teams at least lowland league or lower while in SPFL and we are way more shit now so have no expectation other than losing that and having even more free Saturdays coming up.
I don’t doubt for a second that everyone is knocking their pan in behind the scenes to try and improve things but every other club has people probably doing the same. They all deserve a medal.0 -
A combination of the shit fixture schedule in this league, the standard of some of the teams and the strong possibility of not winning a game this season is seriously putting me off keeping going.
It’s not like silky football is running rings round us, a fair bit of the last few weeks has been dogshit vs dogshit.
And we seem to be doing a moonwalk, going backwards by the week.1 -
I thought last week was bad, we shouldn’t have awarded a POTM today.
The boy from Dundee Utd OMFG.
Anyone hear what the attendance was today?1 -
Can’t wait for tomorrow.

On the verge of just giving up. That must be the worst game of football I have ever paid to watch.

I thought we deserved a point and it was by far Sinclair’s best game for Cowden, he looked pretty good

That was fucking painful following the game on Twitter.
Wasn't there but did we just chuck it away through mistakes and by being soft?
I know it's a young team but it's basics to defend a lead. Massive game next Sat for Cowden vs a team that has had a poor start too.
First was a deflection, second we went to sleep from a corner but still a good finish and nobody was saving the third.2 -
Only 2 bookies on the High Street now, I believe. Truly is a dog-eat-dog world...
You can bet on it0 -
Cammy graham on sky news yesterday raising awareness of skin cancer after he was diagnosed last year and thankfully all clear. Wearing cowden training kit during the interview [emoji23].
Check out sky news on twitter or fb for the interview.
Yep they’ve shown it a couple of times this morning too0 -
I was at the game with my mate and the two things we talked about were the number of kids at the game and also the amount of club merchandise people were wearing, adults too.
Saw the windows and stuff all look pretty smart.
A few Arbroath fans came up and wished us well for the season so cheers for that.
I counted 10 Cowden fans including me.2 -
It is a rip off the played the Strollers who are in the same league as us and took a fiver.
Especially when you consider entry to Cowden league games this season is £10.1 -
East Fife v Cowdenbeath tomorrow 2pm
Our previous friendlies have been £5 entry but our board in their wisdom have priced this at £10 which in my opinion is a blatant attempt to get extra £ in due to being a "derby" but will probably have the opposite effect !
Have been following your progress this summer with your new signing pollicy and will be interesting on how the teams fare. East Fife are very short on players and have a core of experience padded out with youngsters.
I was going until they asked for a tenner. So was someone else I know.0 -
You would be better than him.
No. You would0 -
The first man in Scotland to play in sides relegated from the SPFL in successive seasons.
Chuck in he played in the first half of the season when Forfar were relegated.
A really poor signing by Bollan.
He was a waste of a wage3 -
There should never have been a play off it should have been straight down. Maybe even two down and let HL and LL both get promoted.
Same with promotion playoffs. League above should be two down and one auto promo plus a play off winner to go up a la EPL5 -
Am I correct to say that Cowden are being housed in both stands and the terrace behind the goal?
A colleague of mine will be attending with her elderly parents - is there no seated arrangements for Bonnyrigg fans?0 -
I chucked my season ticket after last week didn’t think I would be needing it [emoji23]

The Hamilton one was my favorite one.
Only about 50 Cowden fans there.
Everything just clicked that day.
I was one of them. Two of the most vivid memories for me from that game were the female assistant ref waving her flag to get the ref over for a chat and the Hamilton boy getting sent off, and Scott Linton I think it was scoring a header right in front of the cowden fans.
Some more of the kind of resilience in that game for the next two please.0 -
While Andy Barrowman’s goal was a wonder, I felt that more than one of Sammy’s goals had great individual skill from him in the lead up, plus a great finish, so I would have gone for the goal at Annan as goal of the season.
I think Sammys goal at Forfar was his best goal. All similar though0 -
Anyone else venturing north to Elgin tomorrow? Or, will it be déjà vu Annan again. Hopefully not our last trip up there for a league match. C'mon Cowden.
Would have went if it wasn’t a dead rubber but not now0

I am in that category. I have been to nearly every game home and away for 10+ years never missing a game through choice and chose not to go to any game in October.
Went on Tuesday night to the Braves game but was less than inspired and chose not to go again today.
I will be at the next couple of games but starting to find other things to do instead of prioritising football.
On the up side wife seems quite happy…
