  1. He's free to speak to other teams once he's less than six months left on his contract.
  2. No, he cant re-register for Thistle. They would have had to have taken him back during the window.
  3. It is. A player who’d scored 16 goals in 72 games since joining Falkirk, joins Ayr and he could well beat that number in one short season since joining Ayr. if you are befuddled and think I am drunk for suggesting that when he joined Ayr and we had no other viable options that we had to persevere with a forward with a scoring record of an average midfielder then I am calling Faux outrage.
  4. At no point have I said he’s shite or doesn’t score goals, or I don’t want him to play for Ayr.
  5. We could have made him an offer in January and at any point since, maybe we did and he wanted to wait until the end of the season, but he wasn’t scoring regularly and I’m not sure he’d be at the top of many clubs shopping lists. if we haven’t convinced him in 8 months that his future is at Ayr then something has gone wrong. The only clubs that will pay him more money are Thistle and Raith. One of them has essentially given him the boot.
  6. He signed for Ayr when our forward options were Rose, McKenzie and Bryden. Akinyemi had left and we were desperate. We signed a guy who wasn’t good enough for a team that finished below us in the league last year and didn’t hit double figures in goals until this month, three of those came in the same game. I don’t think it deserves your faux outrage to suggest that he wouldn’t be a regular in some of the teams in this league. Dowds needed games and we had no other viable options. It was a perfect storm.
  7. Us hopefully. If we don’t sign him, it will be seen as a failure, Brown has said he wants to keep him, Dowds has said he has enjoyed his time at the club but has been non-committal. He’s lucky he ended up at Ayr at the time he did because I’m not sure other clubs would have persevered with him at this level. There are rumours that Raith have made an offer as well.
  8. I was saying he had the same will to win, not that he was in any way a competent footballer
  9. I think that is maybe one of the reasons behind McCallister getting a new deal. He is a committed player, someone who wants to win. Stevie Bell and Jamie Adams were limited players who would run through walls to win, we also had quality like Kerr in the team and guys who were trying to prove a point. We don’t have many winners in the team and haven’t for a few years. Dowds, McCallister, Dempsey, Bryden, Murdoch…. McGinty is a good captain, win, lose or draw, comes over to the touch line at the end of every game where the majority of the team are giving a golf clap in the centre circle. There are big strides that can be made in engagement.
  10. I was thinking about him while watching the game tonight, I don’t have the same emotional connection with him as I do with Crawford or Forrest. I think it’s down to his breakout season being the Covid season when everyone was watching from A Pixelot stream.
  11. From our win in 2018, you can’t beat a last day, trophy in a helicopter experience against Raith. Hearing Vaughn hits the post and then the final whistle goes, confirming you as champions. So Aye, drop points this week and next and you can have a brilliant Friday night at the start of May. Something that will live with you forever.
  12. Rose was poor for us, he did very little when he was given the opportunity. He’s been scoring against part time teams in league one and maybe that’s his level. If Hamilton make a cash offer, as little as it may be, I’d take it. If there is no offer, he’ll be back in and Brown can assess him properly rather than looking at a spreadsheet about him and maybe he’ll be given another chance or moved on in one way or another. If we are keeping the majority of a poor defence and the midfield 3. The budget needs to be spent on quality, I’d rather keep Musonda and sign a centre half on spec from England than sign Sanders. I’d rather we had Clark than Mutch, with another keeper. I am hoping that there is a big launch for the general sale of season tickets on Monday, maybe next seasons kit and a couple of players signed on to push the narrative of investing in the club. Hopefully after achieving safety.
  13. We replaced his comic turns with Jack Sanders. If you need any calamitous mishaps, he'll likely oblige.
  14. Twice since he’s joined, he has received the ball from the keeper, controlled it under no pressure, froze and stared in to space for several seconds before being dispossessed of the ball. That’s more than a brainfart. You can excuse his own goal, maybe even being at fault for two goals in the same game by being out of position for exactly the same ball twice…..but collectively, in what, 10 games?
  15. It wouldn't make any difference to announce that now if Kilmarnock have already told him he wasn't getting a new deal. I'm calling bullshit. He is where McGinty was when he signed. We had no other options then and had to put up with him. We don't have to put up with that dopey b*****d for three years until me only makes one mistake a month rather than one a half.
  16. He's been on the bench a few times including Saturday but I don't think he's actually played
  17. Reserves in action this afternoon. Will McGinley feature? It’s taken longer for him to make his debut that Bangala
  18. Yeah. If there is no benefit to buying early, it’s not going to impact buying a terracing season ticket. The whole, Act now or we will sell your place to someone else! Doesn’t really apply.
  19. Queens Park finishing in 9th and being relegated thanks to some Ahkeem Rose goals would make Patons tantrum the other week even funnier.
  20. This could go two ways, Dundee United give us a doing and wrap up the title in style in front of their own fans or they shit themselves, drop points and eventually win it on the last day. I expect a home win and hopefully one or two favours being done elsewhere for us.
  21. It says that if you need a card physical card, you can pick it up from the club shop in July so I am guessing it’s a new one if you want a card.
  22. £20 is £20. Putting prices up less than 10% isn’t a scandal. Not offering an early bird discount is removing one of the benefits of having a season ticket. If they are doing this for the new stand, charge a premium for sitting there. I stand on the terrace and I very much doubt it’ll sell out so there is no incentive for me to pluck £300 out my back pocket and buy one this week at almost zero notice. If there was season ticket holder events or a discount at the club shop or season ticket holders added in to a monthly draw for stuff, it would add enhanced value.
  23. Up £20 on last year, no early bird discount and no indication on an increase on the value in real terms. At the moment, I’m not renewing. The email is a cold, renew before the end of the week or lose your seat, if you have one and a list of instructions on how to renew. It feels like they are holding folk by the ankles now and trying to shake loose change out your pockets. Hopefully there is some kind of press announcement that is a bit more supporter friendly to come.
