I think it's a stretch to say it's not a yellow. He does pull out it but it's still very late.
And I thought his first booking looked like a good challenge. Ultimately though I think players need to take some responsibility, if you're on a yellow then don't dive in.
Edit: as a side point, going to VAR so they could downgrade that to a second yellow seems a colossal waste of time. Just let the decision stand, because for the remainder of the game it's immaterial. We can then appeal the straight red so he's available for the Celtic game.i get they'll have protocols to follow but it seems daft.

I don't really see why that's upsetting you tbh.
I didn't say that you lot were undeserving or that you didn't nullify us completely - you did both and deserve credit for that.
It's not an insult to say that's the flattest we've played. We didn't have a shot on target - that naturally - will be a mix of both things being correct with one team doing a job on the other and the other being poor.
Hardly controversial stuff.
The only reason I quoted you was because another poster said that no one had said it. I wasn't having a pop at you. I didnt take it as an insult, and I'm certainly not upset.

Given the recent relative fortunes of each side, we need to be realistically targeting wins vs all three if we do honestly harbour ambitions of a top 4 or 5 finish.
Absolutely. The team will definitely be aiming to win those games, and based on league positions/current form, we should be able to win all those games.
Not to go all elvisy, but to win 5 games on the bounce is always going to be tough. If we don't win them all, then we're still in a very strong position.

First back to back wins since September? Is that what they said on Sportscene? Two good performances too.
Next 3 league fixtures are Livingston (a), St Johnstone (h), Ross County (a).
Anything more than 4 points from that and I think we're looking pretty good for top 6.

Docherty has had a nightmare there. Fair enough they might've had some bad decisions against them recently, but there is no chance that is a penalty.

Probably the flattest and poorest we've been in the league this season.

Absolutely desperate for a pat on the back
Aye, you're right. It was 'poorest' not 'worst'.
I take it all back.

It's great that so many teams churn out their 'worst performance of the season' when they lose to us. Wonder what the common denominator is.

“We gave the goal to Mandron but it was Olysanya. It’s hard to tell these players apart .” Maybe I’m reading too much into it
Jeez. Putting aside the fact that they look nothing like each other - 'these players'? f**k me.

Olusanya was in his own half.what a dreadful decision by the linesman.
Good, composed finish by a much maligned player too.
Can't say we don't deserve the win. Could've been more with Baccus and Kiltie both missing good chances.

Wasn't a second yellow
That's a yellow card all day. I appreciate the ref gave a red, which was maybe harsh. Either way he was walking

Crazy from Bolton.
His first yellow was a joke, but if you're on a booking you don't dive in.

Good strike but that's rotten from Carson.
Think we deserve that.

I think it's been an OK game. Both teams have had spells and had some good moments of passing. Dundee started better, then we came more into it and have had a couple of half chances.
I was convinced Beck was going to score but I think Kwon did enough.

Interview with Curtis Main in The Courier on why he didn't re-sign with St Mirren:
He's not likely to turnaround and say 'the reason was Dundee were offering me more dosh'.
For what it's worth, I think he makes a good point and I've no doubt that was a big factor, but I'm pretty sure the deciding factor would be money.

The Fact that Henderson can't get game time at RC tells you he is not good enough at this level.
He'll drop down a league next season.
I think if he'd had more game time he might've kicked on a bit. He was really good in flashes for us, and he was excellent for Inverness.
He couldn't get in our team as he was never a wing back. This has been said before, but now we often play with a front three I'm certain he'd have seen more game time had he stayed with us, than he has at County.

Let's give Adams the benefit of the doubt and say it was done to motivate his players. What it seems to have done is actually motivate the opposition, every team talk now from opposing managers will include "this guy thinks you're shite".

I don't have notifications turned on @DeeTillEhDeh. I like him as a manager and I posted that in the County thread. I don't think he's a genius, but probably misunderstood. I just think he's very honest and direct which I think is better than the over media trained style.
Coming out with stuff like Morecambe 'are 100 times better' isn't being honest though. It's hyperbole (it's nonsense even) and you argued he said it to get a reaction. Which implied you didn't think he was being particularly honest either.

Some will relish that challenge, some will hate him. That's why the Derek Adams way won't work until he finds the players who respond well. You can't judge him in 2-3 months.
Maybe the players who don't like it are the problem. Brittain, Vigurs, Boyd, Gardyne, Lawson, Kettlewell, etc played their best football under Derek Adams.
Come on, this isn't a 'style', he's been an incoherent mess in these interviews. I haven't seen him show any kind of fight, he has blamed everyone but himself and essentially claimed that he won't be able to do anything about it. Implied one week that he maybe hadn't done enough research into what he was inheriting, then last night claimed he came into it with his 'eyes open'.
I'm all for giving managers time and actually think he probably needs at least a few weeks with his new signings to see if he can turn the results around, but let's not kid on that this is anything more than a struggling manager talking shite after some poor results.

Korea were very fortunate to draw with Jordan in the group stage and stumbled through to the semis really.
I kept expecting them to hit a bit of form and win the whole thing but they've actually been really poor.
Klinsmann should probably get the bullet.

Quote from Adams on the BBC site; "when I took the job I was open eyed, honest, and all I can say is that I'm not surprised."
What an odd thing to say. Is it just me or does that make no sense whatsoever?

Cantwell is Rangers’ best player. The grief he gets on here is presumably because he’s clearly a weird c**t. But he’s clearly too good for this league.
He's a good player but that last sentence is wild.

Telling everyone they were shit, then replacing them with absolute no marks on loan from the EFL, and then compounding that by sticking all the new players straight into the team with them likely still learning each others names.
Brilliant management.
Not to worry though, he'll get an absolute fortune to do it all over again in the Summer/next January too.
I was going to play devil's advocate and say that he needs time to work with all the new signings, but it's difficult to argue with this point.

He was already on a yellow, so he was always going to walk.
We should still appeal so he's available for Sunday.
