  1. Fech me stenny had themselves and Queens playing in a ground that had 4 or 5 portaloos as toilets in the away end for the full season.
  2. What do you expect from Albion Rovers in thier first competitive match. They are a lowland league team remember.
  3. Swapping dugouts is pretty clever really and not baffling in any way. It allows the home teams staff to be able to talk yo the linesman on each occasion he is nearby. That isn't the case when they were in the other dugout last season.
  4. A friend who is an Albion Rovers fan has stated thier fans aren't able to buy away end tickets online. Get this nonsense in the bin.
  5. IMO I'd rather us be in the north stand. Completely close if the south stand like Motherwell do. Create a wall where the iron herras fence is and the whole of the area of the main stand, the captains lounge and north stand is fully enclosed. If they do create the sports bar it an be split inside with access at both the home and away sides. That for me would be the perfect senario.
  6. I'm sorry but if we manage a win on Saturday, Corr and masson could get a game but only beside and experienced defender.
  7. Maybe because these other fans in a way can relate the issues thier own clubs have had in the past or currently going through and are seeing red flags. Lower league football fans at times like to know what's going on with other teams in the league. A decent football fan of any club doesn't want to see another club disappear or have the thier fans have the p"ss taken out of them and the wool pulled over thier eyes.
  8. The opposite stand at Broadwood is pretty much mothballed and not been used for years as is behind the goals. They were never going to be used by fans as the council won't bother to spend the money to upkeep it. They will still get thier licence by maintaining one stand. Remember Cumbernauld colts also use the ground as do rangers ladies, so you point becomes invalid. They have had to get other clubs in to allow it to be upkept. Cumbernauld colts paid for the last refit of the pitch. The Colts have teams from age 5 to u21 and a lowland league team. That pitch is used pretty much daily and Clyde paid zero into the pitch.
  9. Yes but the club still have maintain the whole staduim to keep it's licence, that costs money.
  10. The issue is that they only hire out one small section of the ground with a couple of turnstiles. That in itself means they can dictate how much of the ground they require per game and can alter to suit the potential visiting support. Every other club has to pay for and upkeep a full staduim irrespective of the crown size. That is imo a massive advantage. I said this before and say it again, this was always the plan to stall the build hoping to get into the top league and hire out hampden.
  11. What the absolute fcuk are you talking about??? Hid you post I. The wrong group chat? To be nice I'll give you the benefit orlf the doubt
  12. I know it's still early but I really hope someone with pace palys alongside Watson. In know he got injured but for me he turns like a ship and isn't much faster on the move.
  13. Watching that although just signed I thought Watson was, just as bad.
  14. That's not David Norman Jnr. A quick google check and he has none of the tattoos he has.
  15. I'm sorry but to any cynical person which I am, knew that the staduim build was a long extruded sham so if they were promoted it would miraculously be unfinished and unavailable. If anyone thinks anything other than this needs to think again. There is a perfectly good ground at petershill thst is more than suitable for them to play even if on a Friday night.
  16. I used to travel Glenrothes to Cumbernauld for work. 90 mls return journey. It's pretty much a full tank of diesel a week. So far more than £200. That and the time to travel, It's understandable.
  17. I'd rather the back space of the old railway stand be a large sports bar with entrance to the terracing being on the slope at the corner of the stand. It could have glass frontage so it can be a proper function suite with pitch side views.
  18. The issue with safe standing at the old railway stand is it would have to be droppedin height at ground level or sit further back from the existing stand. A standing area without this would stop fans in the seats from seeing thier nearside of the pitch.
  19. First of all it's about the use of VAR. It's to check for a clear and obvious error. The penalty was not a clear and obvious error yet it was given with VAR. That was a stone wall a penalty as you are ever going to get and isn't given. The only time var was effective was the red card as the ref made a Roger Hunt of it in the first place.
  20. We have a defensive midfielder in Mathew's and Brown and several attacking midfielders. I don't think we actually reallyy need to replace him like for like. What was missing was a player up front for a midfielder to use as a focal point to bring the forward line into play as opposed to playing it square, back or to nobody up front.
  21. So for your full time players you are competing with Falkirk and championship teams. Unless a player lives local then you'll pick up the utter dross that can't get a game elsewhere.
  22. I'd actually go even further. With Airdrie going up and Arbroath staying up. Cove are behind both of those teams in the way of decent part time players and full time loaned players. It's a bit if a strange move for a club with a support in 3 figures.
  23. And that could take a few weeks. No revinue stream by the time they are back for pre season training. Pretty piss poor to be honest.
