I remember being told – on Jambos Kickback – that I was hearing things and of course he wasn't saying would of, could of, should of.

It's sunny and cheap. Enjoy.

To be fair to him, he was pretty sceptical at the time of Beale's appointment. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63784264 -
How has it affected Hibs' performances against Celtic over the years?

Killie were absolutely fucking dire. Hearts not much better.

Reassuring that Tom English's rugby copy is just as bad as his football stuff. In his Scotland v Tonga ramblings, he describes zooming in on incidents as a "space-age capacity". -

I've been saying this for a while. It's just dull. -
What politicians do you think would have a case against the press, on the basis of lies and slander, over the last few years? You must have lots of examples.

My Granny and Stepdad both died last year, a lot to take in for my daughter who had just turned three. (As it was for the rest of us.) She's been told they were taken by the angels to Heaven, and that seems to comfort her. Even though that's bollocks, I've let it slide for her benefit! We do get a laugh when she does something fairly inconsequential like trip and she complains: "I thought Great-Granny and Granddaddy were meant to be looking out for me!" She can be a morbid wee sod sometimes too, although not to the stage the OP's grandson is at. I guess the point is it's a lot to take in and we all react differently to death. I'm sure he'll be fine – but maybe make sure he's had a pie or something before the end of the day!

Nothing ever changes at Hearts, that's the problem. Whether we're extremely shite (Covid-curtailed season) or actually do well (third and cup final) it's just so boring. Think McInnes at Aberdeen without the consistently decent results. It doesn't seem to matter who the head coach/technical director/sporting director/management team are. Such a paucity of ambition on the field. That we're triumphantly Attendance FC continues to baffle me. I'd have absolutely no interest in going to Tynecastle every fortnight (if it was feasible for me) and have no idea how we've managed to get to a position where there's a waiting list for season tickets. -

Would probably be healthier than the current state of apathy. Maybe it's a side-effect of the Romanov years, but it seems all the mental stuff the current board do is met with a collective shrug of the shoulders. -

If the poor b*****d is sitting in an office in Harehills, it's no wonder he's out to make other people's lives miserable. -

The only logic I can apply is that it was the cheap, easy option. -

Must be hilarious for everyone else. It's sorely tempting to ditch the FoH sub. I'd be better placed burning cash in my garden. -

Now's the time to act. International break, say thanks for keeping us ticking over and hire a proper football manager. But we won't, we'll sack them all in October and give it to Fox until the end of the season. A fucking shambles of a club. -
As a bare minimum, we'll have 1xCL, 1xEL and 1xECL again this season. If all goes well tonight, you could be looking at 1xCL, 2xEL and 1xECL participants (I'm discounting Hibs), which would be a great return for a country of Scotland's size. The big difference this year is Hearts and Hibs have both knocked out higher-ranked teams on their way to the play-offs. Long live the Big 5, eh?

It still infuriates me that someone at BBC Scotland looked at Gary Lineker presenting MotD, thought 'I'll have some of that' and chose to employ "Thommo" as a TV presenter.
-
Fine margins, as they say. Thought Hearts played pretty well without ever being convincing. The Shankland "goal" was a sliding doors moment. There's a bit of hope for over there, although I'm braced for a hammering.

Hibs unable to cope with Austin MacPhee's set piece genius.

From the BBC live text. I appreciate this is a bit old man shouts at sky (or should that be Sky?) but not sure what's funny about the contrast. If reported fees are to go by, the Premier League side have spent an eye-watering £80m this summer. Big money signings Moussa Diaby and Pau Torres feature for Unai Emery's side. In comparison, Hibs' summer spending amounts to about £1.5m. The contrast is quite funny. -
Hearts v Liverpool/Spurs. Good time to sell the tickets, just before the home leg! Mind you, I had a great time in London for Spurs away despite a 5-0 defeat in the first league. A certain Harry Kane missed a penalty on (I think) his debut for them. Hearts were taking Liverpool into extra time in the 87th minute of the second leg.
