  1. I got one from a Louisiana fencing company.

    Is that @We_Build_Fences?

I sent them a picture of my fence after I repaired it following the January storms and they replied "looks good!". Another of their 6 tweets is a RT of P&B's very own Jam saying "Get it up ye @We_Build_Fences, there's a new sheriff in town". I'm not sure what that was about.

  2. Phone your carrier and ask. Some do it for free, others charge so depending on who you are with it could be easy or be a hassle.

Orange are the worst, they charge £20 processing fee and won't unlock a phone that hasn't been registered in your name for at least 3 months.

Aye, thanks for that. Went into the o2 shop and they told me they've got a form online. That was after some guy in Clydebank Indoor Market said it would be £30

  3. Not that I want to interrupt the well justified piss-taking, but if I could provide a serious response to this... firstly we were relegation battlers when he took over, although admittedly that may have had more to do with James Grady being manager than the standard of the squad. Anyway, I think next season's the big season for Moore provided we stay up this season. I think we will, for all that our defence is chronic and our recent form terrible. It's easy to say we're back to only five points from ninth place, but we've two games in hand over Queens, we're level on points with Hamilton and Livingston and only one point behind Partick. While another injury to Tidser or Bachirou and continued fuckwittery from Colin Stewart, Andy Graham and Marc Smyth could see us relegated, we should be okay.

Continued lower mid-table mediocrity won't do though, and while the squad's probably too far away from being able to comfortably transform into genuine title challengers for next season, we need to be comfortably top half with no danger of relegation for Moore to be seen to be making progress. It's all well and good to say we're far better in midfield and attack than when he took over, but we're every bit as bad in defence and he signed every one of them, while he renewed Colin Stewart's contract in the summer. You can point to McCaffrey being injured if you like, but the fact remains that you shouldn't be relying on one player to hold your entire defence together, and the cover he signed at centre back, Andy Graham, is miles out of his depth. Evans has been decent at right back, but Graham is horrendous, Smyth has been just as bad without McCaffrey beside him, Forsyth at left back is just as out of depth as Graham, while after he's been injured we've been sticking out of position under-19 players there. As an illustration of this disaster area, we've conceded five goals from corners in our last two games, completely unacceptable at any level. I'm rambling on here but the point is that Moore has to take responsibility to the defence being shite, the defence being shite is why we're hovering between mid-table and relegation contenders and the defence has to be sorted next season if we're going to make any kind of progress. I certainly think it would be a knee-jerk to call for Moore to go just now, but we need some progress next season.

Carry on with the pisstake. biggrin.gif

Next season is always 'the big season' for Morton it seems...

  4. What the f**k is the "truth" and "justice" these scousers always moan about?

utter crap and drivel posted on here, read the taylor report, if just 1 copper had shut the gates at the tunnell leading into pens 3&4 and thus fans had gone into the side pens it would not have happened. Doesnt matter how pissed the LFC fans were the police failed to manage the safety of the fans in the ground that day as the central pens were full at 2.10pm and the crush didnt happen until 2.55. South Yorkshire police not the fans are the murderers and yet David Duckenfield the match commander walks free

    JTF96 YNWA

I think the 'truth' some people are looking for is that David Duckenfield was to blame and the 'justice' would be that he is hung, drawn and quartered (if he's still alive).

I think people often see the word justice and make assumptions about aportioning blame and the like when really, what I suspect the families (the people that matter most in all of this) really want is all their questions answered so they can finally get some closure on this. Questions about why the coroner ruled everyone was dead by 3:15pm when accounts from doctors and other medical staff suggest otherwise. Questions about why CCTV tapes went missing or were wiped and questions about who fed the media information which all but one outlet have now apologised for. That is the sort of truth the families are seeking I suspect, not just about whether is was the police or the fans what done it, as it so often seems to boil down to when it's discussed on here.

    Spot on.

  5. I've broken my laptop :(

Dropped it on to the power input socket and can no longer charge the battery. Which is now flat (it only lasted for about 10 mins anyway). The socket has been pushed into the laptop, if that makes sense.

The quick question is, is this fixable? I opened it up before but couldn't get to relevant part.

  6. How were the trains today?

I sat on the 7.22 Stirling to GQS (on route to Dumbarton) service for an hour this morning before they announced all services were cancelled. The train was waiting for any passengers on the Perth - Edinburgh service which was then allowed to leave first and promptly broke down.

Got off, got a refund and walked back home!

  7. A mate used to always tell me you should never bet against yourself, that is to say if you have a side to win on one line you shouldn't pick them to draw or lose on another.

I know things are different on Betfair (which I don't pretend to understand) where you can back and lay at different prices to limit losses or better but what about this as a general rule, especially for a small stakes punter?

I've seen a few bets listed on here where posters appear to be effectively betting against themselves.

  8. Where can I get my hair cut in Stirling city centre?

I would recommend a place on Friar's Street - just across from Jimmy Chungs.

Why does it cost £95,000 for someone to design a logo for the Glasgow Commonwealth games?

Also noticed the London 'Lisa Simpson Giving Head' Olympics logo cost £400,000 too. What do the designers do that could possibly cost that amount?

I don't know but there is a topic about it here:
