Wearing band t shirts you don't know is the same as those fat American guys who walk around in military gear despite having no military experience at all. You're wearing it because you think others will think you're cool, which makes it a questionable choice.

I don't like this obsession you Peterhead lads have with late goals. Not at all. -
Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

There's times I've sat there for a good 20 seconds waiting on it moving before finally deciding to go for the press only for it to jump. More often than not I click on an ad too, if I was Alex Jones I'd say this was intentional and it's all Justin Beibers fault. -

Save ourselves the paper and just give them to Mikey and Finlay.

Does the doctor even need to attend games? I don't think I've ever seen a doctor called into action at a game, first aiders and physios take care of that. I think club doctors are more there for the aftermath of injuries or issues with players. People say it's crazy that part time clubs are required to do this but every part time club in the national leagues has done it for years without anyone complaining. It's not a difficult thing to get a private doctor on a contract. If it was a proper barrier for clubs they'd all be pushing to change the rule. Buckie are at it.

League 1 play offs 2024
The Moonster replied to microdave's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
You can't broadcast a game at 3pm on a Saturday. -
I mean this pretty much confirms that teams weren't just given 10 days to comply, you mention it rumbles on for months and some clubs such as Bonnyrigg got to install them later. I see Buckie are outraged that they've been booted out. So outraged that they're going to do nothing about it.

If Buckie know the processes why did they completely dingy the process and reminders of the process that has now stopped them being promoted? "Nobody knows if a grace period would be granted" except we do because you've been given numerous examples of clubs who are currently being given grace periods to complete things. We're not doing very well keeping it a closed shop considering Shire, Rovers, Cowden and Brechin have all disappeared yet to be seen again. I await you saying this has been achieved in spite of the conspiracy to keep all you horrible wee village sides in the doldrums.

I'm not arguing the rules are correct. If I was in charge I probably wouldn't make clubs meet bronze level for League 2 and I'd probably automatically relegated Club 42 but the rules are there and Buckie have ignored them, thus they have no one else to blame but themselves.

You keep saying clubs were given 10 months notice to complete it but also keep ignoring the fact that clubs can apply for longer as long as they can demonstrate their plan. Buckie ignored everything and got denied entry to the competition. You're having a go at whole show here when it's simply one club that has fucked up, and they probably meant to f**k up too.

It's a lot more common than you think for clubs to fall short of license requirements and be given a period of time to resolve it. Dumbarton had issues with their floodlights not being of the required standard and got a pass for it for years because the owners were planning on moving the club. As soon as the plans to move the club died we had to invest in the floodlights. The point here is that clubs need to at the very least have dialogue with the league and I would imagine more often than not a reasonable compromise is sought, as evidenced by the number of clubs you are crying about not meeting requirements. Buckie can say what they like, they've fucked this for themselves and embarrassed the HL.

You're having a mare here and I don't know why. Buckie have clearly made no attempt to gain their license or even have dialogue with the authorities to see how they can work towards it. I know nothing of EK but Bonnyrigg have been making ground improvements since they came up, I assume to meet these requirements. You say these clubs haven't met deadlines but you've no idea what deadlines or dialogue they've had. It's clear given this decision that Buckie have done f**k all and now want everyone to point the finger at the league, when it's their own wee bumpkin club that has embarrassed itself.

Dumbarton v Elgin 27/04/24
The Moonster replied to O'Kelly Isley III's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
I don't imagine Elgin are going to be battling like their life depends on it, they're safe and have nothing to play for. Of course injuries can happen at any time but I suspect this will be played out closer to a friendly than a competitive league match. I'd rather we kept a strong team where possible and went out for the win. Another clean sheet would be magic too. -

No evidence to get a team out of League 1! He's been at this level for 1 season with one of the smallest budgets in the league -

Final positions, playoffs and such...
The Moonster replied to TxRover's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Precisely. Fans are tribal, they don't particularly care who their team are playing they just want to go and watch them. You see it too with the B team stuff, attendances are down for those games but you still get a core of the support who will go and watch it even if they don't agree with it. If fans want change they need to stop giving money to their clubs and not enough people will do that to ever force the hand. -
I sadly couldn't make it down to the Trust meeting last night but I hear a lot of interesting things being discussed. Will there be minutes/a run down sent out to members?

The Moonster replied to TxRover's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
You might struggle to maintain an interest but fans are still turning out for games in Scotland more than they are in any other country in Europe (per capita). If fans don't like the set up the simple solution is to stop going and change will happen. Keep turning up and you'll be served the same fare.
