  1. The WOS team are not scheduled to play until Tuesday 21st May in the play offs. League could be extended until Wednesday the 15th of May in line with Darvels final game still giving sufficient time for all play off scenarios to be decided.
  2. The WOS playoff representative ,if there actually are any ,are not due to play their first fixture in the play offs until the 21st of May so there is no reason the league season could not be extended for all clubs to bring them in line with Darvels final fixtures. Only time will tell if common sense prevails.
  3. This only goes to show that sporting integrity matters not by the fixture secretary. How can a team still involved in the title race be allowed to play two fixtures after the rest of the league is completed on the 11th of May and potentially knowing exactly what they require from the games, never mind it also could still impact the relegation outcomes depending on what Glenafton would still require to be safe. As already put to the FS if this is the only option due to lack of suitable dates to fit these games in before the 11th then the only fair option would be to push the last games for every team back in line with Darvels.
  4. Talbot got no appetite to go up at present by all accounts so would be interesting to see how they dealt with the play offs if they did win the league.
  5. You really need to question your sources Bill. No one on pre contracts but believe what you want as some people like to stir up nonsense for their own ends. McGlinchey was going to leave in the summer so looks like a good bit of business by the club to get a fee for him. Any player that doesn’t want to be at a club, for whatever the reasons, should be moved on as only cause’s disharmony within the dressing room.
  6. Not keen on kicking John when things go as many predicted long ago, as he has always been very welcoming to myself, but the harm he allowed his club and previous manager to do is unforgiveable. Both parties got completely lost in their egos. Both parties had no idea or respect of the level and thought they could approch any player they fancied regardless of the affect on the other clubs. Pushed transfer fees and wages to unsustainable levels for many clubs at WOSFL levels over the last 4/5 years and we are probably still to see the long term damage this has done. Only hope Burgh come to some sort of reality check soon or the madness is just going to change post codes.
  7. Thanks Bill. We seem to be living rent free in your head.
  8. This so far off the mark it probably suggests you have absolutely no clue of the finances at either club. 23 k paid out in known transfer fees since the start of the season never mind the wages of Low,Little,Gallacher,McGonigle to name but a few. Beith have spent heavily in ground improvement works over the last few seasons all self funded. Not much change from 100k for lights is a a huge outlay for any club at this level but then a good few licensed clubs have not had this cost as they are either in a council funded facility or had it paid by a benefactor. Nice if you can get it but don’t mock clubs who are not in this fortunate position. Keep kidding yourself on regards what Bankies are spending as it might make you feel better in May if the gamble fails and they don’t get up this season.
  9. Don’t believe someone is an expert just because they told you they are.
  10. Wouldn’t be the first club treasurer to not actually know the true finances of their club.
  11. Neither yourself or Bankiebill clearly have no idea what your club are spending but bury your heads in the sand if you wish. If you actually believe yous have only bought 3 players in 5 years that is quite worrying but then thats maybe the line your leaders feed the fans! Watch this space if the gamble fails.
  12. Bankies throwing everything at promotion this season. One of the few clubs in the WOSFL that actually believe that the Lowland League is worth going to with all the additional travel costs and poorly supported teams that come with it.Hope it works out well for them as they will not be missed with their vastly inflated egos and arrogant fan base.God forbid what they would be like if they had actually been successful in their resurrection. Given their level of spending on players in recent times they should really be getting up but we all have seen that doesnt guarantee anything given what happened tp Darvel.
  13. Think you might be meaning two season ago league winner as last years winners would never pay players anything like those figures.
