  1. Sounds like this thread will be getting another airing soon enough.

Rangers just love spunking money. They can't help themselves. I know they want to make sure of winning the leagues, but do they have to waste so much money whem the opposition are clearly not going to challenge them?

It is the equivalent of taking Frank De Bear's maw out for a nice meal, drinks and an evening on the town when, in fact, a swig out your Bucky bottle and a Regal King Size will seal the deal.

  2. Not been up to speed today on this so help pleeeeeaase.

13 months, and turnover of £20m ? inc season books for 2 years for £13m ? so yearly turnover will be closer to £13/14m ?

    lol....

I'm afraid that isn't how it works. This year's season ticket money isn't included as turnover - £8.2 million is included in 'Deferred Income' and will be included in the next set of accounts as Turnover. Note 2 'Revenue' gives a breakdown of the £19 million total.

  3. Operating losses of £14m – approx £1.15M a month

in June, they had £10.2M in the bank – so, today, 3 months later, we can take 3.45m off that.

That gives them £6.75M in the bank. That should see them through for another 6 months. – the end of March 2014

Unless they have another share issue, sale/leaseback or some other injection of cash – they won’t see out the season. They may time admin nicely for the end of the season and have close season to sort it all out.

but it looks like it will be the gift that keeps giving. Now, will Ally do enough to ensure they secure promotion even with the points deduction for admin?

There is still £2.4 million season ticket cash to come in (Note 15).

  4. Note 20 - Deferred Tax

'No deferred tax asset has been recognised as it is not considered probable that there will be future taxable profits available in the foreseeable future to utilise the losses'

Doesn't look like anyone expects Champions League in the foreseeable future then. Shame.

Also I notice Imran Ahmad received a £50k 'Arrangement' fee on a £200k loan. Great work if you can get it.

Where is HBCA anyway? Nobody has had a 2+2=50,000 moment yet.

  5. Looks like January will see a few player comings and goings. Ally will be looking to strengthen the squad in preparation for next season in the Championship.

Scottish football: Rangers boss Ally McCoist acknowledges the need to spend

    Last Updated: September 22, 2013 2:09pm

Rangers boss Ally McCoist admits that he will need to invest in a number new signings if his side are to return to Scotland's top flight.

The Gers boast a 100 per cent record this season in the Scottish League One, as they look to continue their climb back up the divisions after administration saw them consigned to the fourth tier last summer.

McCoist has seen many of the club's star players exit Ibrox in recent years and he now recognises the importance of adding some new faces to his squad.

"We are going to have to buy players. We've lost in the region of £45-50million worth of players," he told the Daily Star.

"We are talking about Allan McGregor, Nikica Jelavic, Steve Davis and Steven Naismith.

"Logic tells you that unless you're a wonder coach, you are going to have to, at some point, buy to get back to the level you were once at.

"I think we'd handle it okay but if and when we get back there, we expect to compete. There is a lot of work to be done but by the time we get there, I hope this experience will stand us in good stead."

McCoist watched as rivals Celtic ran AC Milan close in the Champions League during the week, but he says he is only focused on helping Rangers re-establish themselves as a force in Scottish football.

"It doesn't give me a reality check - it tells me what I've always thought. Not for a minute have I thought anything other than we have got miles to go," he said.

Logic tells me that having those type of players causes an insolvency event.

  6. The Centenary Cup final has never been played at an SPL stadium, it was always played at an SFL stadium due to the fact that it has always been a cup for SFL teams. I don't know how the SPFL fits into it but the rules should be the same, diddy cup, diddy stadium.

I'm fairly certain I went to Fir Park for a final once. Many moons ago.

Doesn't change the fact that it has always been played at a diddy stadium.

ETA: Fir Park has hosted the final 4 times.

  7. Sky Sports News have just reported Horner missed an out of competition test last night/this morning. Allegedly he was staying at a different hotel than the rest of the team so wasn't there when the testers showed up. More to come on this, I'm sure.

  8. I think the two of them may be f****d!

Not according to Alan Kilpatrick. He's 'studied' Criminology:

But one thing's for sure. There are a hell of a lot of worse people; hardened, violent criminals walking the street (and in some cases protected) for me to believe that the really deserve a heavy sentence in a Peruvian hell-hole

I think he should be sent to Peru as an expert witness with marvellous insights like that.

ETA: Has anyone worked out where the 'Peru' photos were actually taken yet? I don't know what Peru in August is like but I'm guessing it isn't bikini weather?

  9. Do you have a problem with the English language or do you suffer from Alzheimer's disease?

I'm sorry, but your comprehension is fucking abysmal:

    You asked me:

If you HAD to stake your money life savings on it .. which would you choose .. he included IPO money in his total figure or he omitted it?

    I replied:

Omitted. 100%. I bet you can't work out why either.

To anyone that isn't a retard that sounds like I would 100% put my life savings on omission, not that I was 100% certain that it was omitted.

    Twat.

  10. I'm not talking about that quote. Neither have I stated I am 100% certain of anything.

Of the total figure of 67 million that Imran reckons he raised for the club I'd say he included the cash raised by the IPO.

Feel free to enlighten us as to why your are 100% certain this is not the case.

I never said for a second I was 100% certain that was not the case.

  11. If you HAD to stake your money life savings on it .. which would you choose .. he included IPO money in his total figure or he omitted it?

Omitted. 100%. I bet you can't work out why either.

This is from the original post:

Now you will notice in the accounts due out that he has probably done some nifty and shifty number crunching like he will use the IPO money in that income generated for the club reducing it down to £44 million thereabout so would be £8.5 million a year and that looks more realistic.

    Seriously, WTF?

  12. That just confirmed you have no clue do you ?,and P&B is just for you to log onto and piss people off with never ending insulting or silly posts and green dotting your fellow bears just because some of the P&D's get annoyed about it.

I did in fact tell you that if you read the Records article then you would have known where my figures came from :1eye Ahmad said he had helped raise £67 million and he helped raise the IPO money as well,so it be a sure dead fucking cert he has included the IPO money in that £67 million ! GET IT NOW ???.

And no fucking mention of the accounts there either stupid.

To be fair to Bennett you just made that bit up. There is no guarantee that figure is inclusive of the IPO money.
