Surely having one person per seat is an easier way to prevent overcrowding, than just letting folk pile into terracing until it's full? I find it a bit bizarre people get so worked up about them having seats available in standing areas, and when it gets called safe standing. The outrage all seems a bit millennial "everything is awful and forced upon us" type.

Not convinced O'Halloran is available, he's allegedly not going to be recovered until New Year until it is, and I doubt Melbourne will want to ship him halfway around the world for six months. Scougall will probably leave, can easily see one of the relegation battlers seeing him as a positive signing, only issue would be his wages. Nydam will probably leave, be aswell sitting on Ipswichs bench as ours.

I wonder if we'll try and get Scott Wright on loan from Aberdeen again. Drey Wright has left us short on wide players, and a loan seems better as we can let them go in the Summer when Wright comes back in to things. Aberdeen fans ravaging him and that McLennan looks like he's above him the pecking order now.

I'd recommend Roma, was struggling for a save before them and now rattling through seasons. Juve and both Milan sides can both heavily, heavily, outspend you in fees and wages, while Napoli, Lazio and Torino all seem to go after the same players as me. Europe is a struggle as English teams are so OP. Add in a few young talents (Pellegrini x2, Crisante, Zaniolo, Under and Kluivert) and you've a lovely base, Manolas can get you ~£60m pretty quickly too.

What sort of compensation figure would you be expecting for Williamson?

I'm sure I looked him up in the Summer when folk were chatting about him, and he's virtually disappeared. Joined some diddy team on a deal until the end of the season, but was never mentioned in any retain/release list, and doesn't appear on their squad page. No mention of him at all since. Fwiw in a dream world we'd spend a fee on Ryan Williamson at Dunfermline. His contract expires in the Summer but Dunfermline would be due a compensation fee, stick a nominal fee in with multiple clauses and see what happens.

Shaughnessy was born in Galway. Tommy Wright's contract is until 2022. It's not even hard to find these things out.

Not sure wee Ricky needs replacing in the next 12 months tbh. While I agree he's been superb this season, and still looks more than capable, he turns 35 in the Summer, the same age Mackay had to retire at. Combine that with the Easton situation, and you worry an injury would end things for him. I'd hate to be starting next season with Foster as the only real right back, and then him picking up a knock that he never recovers from. I think we all agree Comrie won't replace him, and Shaughnessy is better in the middle.

I never understand why Italian fans seem so determined to force away star players. Donnarumma and Icardi spring to mind. I understand they've annoyed fans with their actions, but the fans go next level to try and force them out.

Dundee United have a player who's "blacked up", and Aberdeen fans were caught on video singing racist abuse at Scott Sinclair, you've then all the issues down South. It's a bit worrying how widespread it is.

In 10 years time when Celtic and Rangers have 50+ 16-21 year olds each, and the rest of the club's are struggling to survive as they don't have any youth to create income, I'll be sure to remind you of how you felt just now. Project Brave will award them a higher standard once they get colt teams in the league, so all the youngsters will be offered to them first. If you can't see the dangers there, I despair.

Surely it could be filed under "bringing the club into disrepute"? No idea if that's something you're allowed to be sacked for, but I can't imagine many people on a jury having any sympathy for him if he tried to take it to a court.

Having Clark, Kerr and Shaughnessy tied down long term would be boost, get Tanser in there too and all we've to do is find a replacement for Foster over the next 12 months, and that's the defence sorted for a few years.
