  1. Not at all, it's a fact that Stevie May was verging on a new deal with us, before having second thoughts as he didn't see a realistic path to caps. Strachan was aware of him, but never capped him until he moved. We've now got Clark and Kerr, two home grown young Scots, who'll have less interest in staying because they know they won't get called up at Saints, something a player has admitted the whole squad think. It's puts us at a disadvantage in terms of signing or keeping Scots, purely because those in charge still have the mindset nobody playing for Saints could be good enough. You'll see it when/if Watt gets close to call ups too, he'll be completely ignored but if he moves to Aberdeen or Hibs, two teams Saints are battling for position this season, he'd be in straight away.
  2. Tbf he's not got much chance. Seem folk on Twitter moaning about no Saints magazine last year as it gives them something to collect, same folk now moaning we're wasting time on a Saints magazine as nobody reads physical copies anymore.
  3. Players admitting the don't see any International future while playing at Saints, which will harm our chances of keeping/signing young talent. This has to stop.
  4. Tommy Wright aware of it too, hopefully more people speak out to help end this injustice.
  5. I'm slowly realising I'm a proper shitfest manager. Five games into my Roma save and I've won four 1-0, and drawn the other 1-1. Scintillating stuff.
  6. As right as this is, going to a nightclub where there will genuinely be folk half your age, to sit alone and just watch them dancing, is terrifying.
  7. A nice easy introduction to the Champions League, great stuff.
  8. How did Cammy Smith do for you? Last three saves I've had, I've noticed him being a standout. Got 15 goals in the league in my Scotland save.
  9. I refuse to believe that McDonald is going to have any positive impact on the squad at all. Calling up Clark isn't going to make players perform worse. Clark is 5 years younger than any goalkeeper McLeish has called up, that's young enough for me to class him as one for the future.
  10. I'm beeling that young players get overlooked for older ones based on arbitrary reasons like their relationships with managers and those in squad, rather than whether it'll benefit the player or future squad.
  11. Jamie MacDonald has never been in the senior Scotland squad, according to FitbaStats.com, so how has he "shown ability to work with an International squad" before? Or are you taking being in the U21 squad a full decade ago as important? And he's played with 2 players over the past five years, yet is going to have a far better role in the squad than someone with 0? Honestly? You're scraping shite out your arsehole here, I'm afraid.
  12. So we're basing call ups on who has the most mates in the squad? Lovely insight in to Scottish football right there, and a lovely message to send up and coming youngsters too. I'm not sure how MacDonald being mates with 6 out of 22 players means he'll "fit in" any better either. How many has he played with in the past five years?
  13. That's absolutely desperate stuff. MacDonald last played in the U21s in 2008 and the only players he's played with at club level in the past decade will be O'Donnell. Can't remember him being called up more than once before either. Clarks had over 100 senior appearances and never once even been hinted at as a "disruptive influence".
  14. Although, I am aware McLeish still thinks it's 2008, and probably think MacDonald is still a promising youngster .
  15. Considering Christie gets a call up based on the past month, logic would dictate Clark should get one based on the last month. I'm just absolutely staggered he can be ignored. There's zero logic behind calling MacDonald up, he's no better than Clark, 6 years older, has no International experience, has no International future. Whoever he selected for this role is unlikely to play a minute regardless, why call up someone who'll never benefit from the call up? At least Clark could learn something from it and/or get used to it before his inevitable raft of call ups once he leaves us to the numerous Championship clubs who are watching him. It's absolutely shite that Saints can, easily, be one of the best Scottish teams in the past decade, with a core of Scottish players, and get completely blanked by manager after manger, to the point where the form keeper in the league is ignored to call up a thirty two year old playing for a team a couple of points better off. Seething.
  16. Point stands. McLeish would rather call up a 32yo keeper out of form than a 26yo keeper in form, despite them both being at the same level. Have to wonder why...
  17. Jamie MacDonald - 32 year old - Mid table Premiership team - 7 goals conceded in last 4 games. Zander Clark - 26 year old - Mid table Premiership team - 0 goals conceded in last 4 games. Absolutely clueless why MacDonald is deemed more worthy of a call up.
  18. Probably says a lot about Dens that you think a ~30 year old stadium is "modern"
  19. Its in the Steam Workshop, name of it is on the bottom left of the screenshot. Just wanted something different tbh, feel like every save looks the same and its not changed at all in the past few years.
  20. Just started a Roma save and this lads the first signing. £250k plus 30% profit, and £2k a week once he goes professional. Seems well worth it for anyone capable of spending that much, his positioning drags his star rating down, but improve that and/or find a system that negates it (two covering CHs beside him?) and he could be an incredible player. Have plenty of time to figure it out as you mould him.
  21. You've just admitted you'd happily stop supporting your club for a more successful one. Not sure you're fit to be gloating tbh.
  22. FWIW that's not how they went about it with Leipzig. They didn't take over the old club, they bought it's license and then created a new club around it. Their official records contain no hint of the club they replaced, and make it clear this is a brand new club. The club they "took over" was forced to start again at the bottom. Effectively, they'd buy Dundees license, start up Red Bull Dundee in a new stadium, and make it clear they have no affiliation to Dundee. Dundee FC would continue in whatever division they could get a new license in. So if you started supporting them, youd be leaving Dundee behind to support a new club.
  23. In all seriousness, Kerr has played a major part of a defence which hasn't conceded a goal in four games now, is 21, had over 100 senior appearances and numerous youth caps. He's pretty much exactly the type of player you start introducing to squads at this stage of his career. Instead McLeish has decided to run with three centre halves so he can wedge in about seven wingers.
