  1. I'm still not convinced he deserves a new contract. He's only played like that twice this season that I can recall. Plays like that every week he'd be a cast iron starter.
  2. Ally Roy would have Dumbarton in the play off positions this season #GoalMachine #RoyTheGoal
  3. Alex McLeish has had next to nothing to do with McTominay, it's bizarre people think it's purely down to him. All he had to do was go to the player and waffle some shite, as the player had seemingly already decided
  4. Folk absolutely desperate to moan about this show and I've absolutely no idea why. Last series was poor but got better, and last night was back to the quality of an older episode. Isa popping up in the background when Navid and Peggy are talking about party hats had me going, as did Tams rant about gammon/pulled pork.
  5. Is it jama? I'm sure I know a Saints fan who was called Ali but cannot mind who it was
  6. Only top flight game tonight and they still can't get players names right.
  7. Ally Roy should be in the Scotland squad, absolute disgrace he's not, Scotland manager must be stoopid
  8. We had the same warning message on that website fwiw
  9. Moving to Scotland would be pointless, signing for Rangers even more so, he'd learn absolutely nothing and Murty hardly the seems the type to get him sage advice.
  10. Last time TW talked about signing an opposition player before a match he almost scored from thirty yards (I'm looking at you Shaughnessy)
  11. Should try and get a move to Holland or something, I reckon. Could've been interesting if Burke had stayed at Red Bull. With Henderson in Italy, Harper in Spain, Burke in Germany and Gauld in Holland, it would've been a nice comparison to see how they progress in comparison to player staying in the UK.
  12. English players earn more due to qualification bonuses from the FA too, something Scotland players don't get..
  13. Any idea how many players have played for one senior UK nation and then gone on to change over to another? Can't be very many and seems pretty taboo once you're past the youth teams. Assume he'll be capped in the upcoming friendlies
  14. Pretty much this. He won't dominate the game on his debut and that'll be that for him in the supporters eyes
  15. I was more hinting at relegation. Think clubs outwith the "big five" have to understand relegation is always more of a possibility than the top half, especially when the five big clubs have their houses in order. There's never more than one lucky signing between the majority of bottom half clubs in the league, it's foolish to run at a loss to try and overcome that, IMO.
  16. Yes, but that's ignoring their building a stadium that will solve every issue they have. Like it has done for Falkirk.
  17. How many times have they made the top six in the last ten years?
  18. What benefits do you think finishing sixth would bring? Qualification for the Europa League costs you money due to the travel costs, positionally you only earn an extra £200k or so, and that's swallowed by the Europa games. Bankrupting the club for a top six finish is hilariously tinpot.
  19. It's seems fairly clear that's what's happening, only benefits being listed to Dundee are the huge cut of stadium maintenance spend due to Dens being an absolute shack.
  20. St Johnstone FC own McDiarmid Park, the training pitch, the all weather pitch and the land. The Browns own a huge building company which runs at a huge profit. If the Browns sold McDiarmid they'd have to take the money from the clubs accounts, which would need approved by the board, which has fans on it, despite some claims, Steve Brown isn't in total control. The "reserves" are there to cover expected losses when we get relegated again. That's been made clear regularly. The Browns support the club and have no interest or need in taking money from it. Any money put in by Geoff was repaid a long time ago, and his son hasn't spent a penny of his own money. It's a completely different situation. My club owns land and a stadium, and every penny goes to the club, the owner puts nothing in so expects nothing back. Your club will be renting a stadium where only match day money will go straight to the club, and who's losses are being paid by their future landlord, a landlord with no emotional ties to the club. Can you not see a potential issue there?
  21. You'll find 7-2 seems to assume he's some form of "justice warrior", so literally every thing he can take offence to, he does.
  22. Point one is their issue. The owners are willing to put money in because they expect to take money out when the new stadiums built. As far as I can tell they'll build and own the stadium, and then rent it out to Dundee. Not overly convinced that's any different to the situation Dundee are in just now. They'll simply be renting a brand new stadium and if/when the owners decide/need to get rid of it, they'd have to buy it. Feels like there's an element of QP/SFA/Hampden about it all. As in you'll be over the barrel if your owners decide they need to up the rent.
  23. Indeed. The more folk who shun the Daily Record the better.
