I'm curious about this rethoric that this is the first "poor spell" under TW and anyone who reckons we're doomed is a shitebag. We've been through plenty of winless/goalless runs and kept the faith, this run feels utterly different to those though.
I think we're doomed, as, it seems, we're at the stage where the squad and manager have lost confidence in each other.
Did that Kerin not end up there? I'm sure I seen him on the bench in the Qualifiers
Scrap that, just seen a picture of him and I'm thinking of completely the wrong guy. Turns out its McBride I'm thinking of (he has glasses)
Seriously, who gives a major f**k about the national team? Qualifying for a tournament every two years would be great, but club football should always take priority.
Injuries have been tough. Eastons an obvious one, as even though he'd been poor beforehand, you can't help but look at Tanser over the past few games and think he's not a top flight defender.
I can see us winning games, but we need players to step up and not just start moaning. Chris Millar has every right to be frustrated about his lack of minutes, but he's far too public about how he's going about showing it, I'm not overly convinced he's behind the manager and that can't be a good thing in the background, I might be totally wrong with that though.
You're better not reading WAP or the Banter Page, tbh, I'm convinced I've not seen half the folk post for years until they've sprouted up this afternoon.
Maybe he tried? January is a notoriously shite time. The suggestion seems to be that hes now allowed to chase a few "key" targets every window, and this time around he spent January chasing MOH and Swanson. I wouldn't be stunned to learn we tried to get Ciftci on loan aswell, tbh.
Worth noting he only ever played 70 minutes of a friendly, where they got pumped 4-2. By all means talk about his pedigree, but "full England International" is stretching the truth, somewhat.
Three years ago Caulker was a regular in the EPL, and in those three years he's played for Southampton and Liverpool. He's still to reach his peak.
Really, really, hard to see why people are excited about the signing tbh.
Theyve already started to stumble, Rodgers won't stay four years if they continue they way they're going, and if they hire another Delia?..
Rangers heading upwards but always have the lingering doubt over their finances. And realistically Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen should be aiming towards challenging considering they all seem financially sound now.
Worst case scenario is that you're paying a fortune to a player who'll struggle to concentrate on football and will regularly miss training, and you'll end up with his wage in the Championship.
He's a complete defender though, so even a half arsed Caulker should swat aside strikers in this league.
It was mentioned when he signed down south that we'd asked to extend his trial. I'm sure I seen one of our journalist friends say there was nothing expected in terms of free agents.
