After a season of part time football it's maybe just taking Froxy more time to get up to speed with things. He pretty much said that himself when he signed.

We did pay money for him. A few thousand I was told. Not much at all. Also a sell on clause as well.

Has Haber signed or just a rumour at this stage? Would be delighted with this signing. Some much needed experience up top and think he would work well with Lewis. Big big signing if true.

I think our new strategy will work in the long term. We won't always have to sign 13/14 players and will be able to really concentrate on quality over quantity from down South. Not saying it won't work this season but you know what I mean.

Not gonna lie Dunfermline 10/1 each way to finish in the top 3 is looking far too big just now!

Not saying I want him back in the team just now but if he does well for the reserves then would maybe deserve a chance. I wonder if he is even training with the first team, knowing Hartley probably not

It will probably come a bit later than the first team stuff.

Looks like Greenwood and Harris involved in goals going by the Twitter pics. Will be interesting to see if Harris can play himself back into contention.

Yes we are still a bit short going forward but we could have up to 3 new players available in the forward areas come Inverness. Hopefully the new winger gets plenty of minutes against East Fife. Do we have any games planned between East Fife and Inverness?

Just seen Hartley's interview and he said they are still trying to add 1 or 2 before Inverness and the Inverness game was always the main aim for the team. Big improvement last night and if there is further improvement then we will be up there this season. Sorry for being such a happy clapper

I think the forward area will be fine if we get Nelson back. Him and Lewis would make a good partnership in my opinion with Mackin an option off the bench if we need to chase a game. We then have Turner and O'Hara as back up although I'd maybe stick O'Hara out on loan until January.

Exactly. Everyone seems to be forgetting these Cup games are for fine tuning the team, I've seen definite improvement over the last few games. That and we still have 1 to come in, hopefully 2.

Definitely more positives to take from tonight going into the league campaign. Good solid base at the back now looking hard to break down. With another striker to come in I'm sure we will do just fine. I hope we get Nelson in, him and Lewis would be a good pairing with Mackon and Turner as options on the bench (I'd send O'Hara out on loan for 6 months). I've got a gut feeling things are about to click just in time to play Inverness.

How do we line up here?

I know McGhee is good in the middle but isn't he a right back anyway? When we signed him my Jambo mate said he only ever seen him play at right back.

Signing the left winger yesterday certainly makes the team look a hell of a lot more balanced now. It looks like Hartley will favour a back 4 over the 3. If we signed another forward then I'd expect O'hara to go out on loan until January.

Just had a google of Devlin and read he has just got engaged and bought a house down there. Doubt he will be back up North anytime soon.

Hope you are right. It looks like we have options to change things up if needed so that's good.

Good to see us sign a winger. Team has more balance to it now. Not sure about Turner or Mackin yet so another striker will do nicely.
