I personally think there is still a bit of improvement to come. All these new players have been trained for months by a little buffoon acting like a tyrant. The improvement in 2 weeks under McKinnon has been promising. Now I'm not saying we are world beaters but I think we will be able to field an 11 that will be strong enough to win some games.

I don't pay much attention to the board etc but I have no doubt you are 99% right with some of what you say. Say it a few more times and it might go up to 100%!

Do you ever take a day off?

To be 2-0 up shows we have made decent progress but that 2nd half shows how fragile the team is both in quality and confidence. The first half just shows what a decent management team can do though with hard work on the training field. They have only been here 2 weeks and it's a big improvement. Hopefully with a bit more work we might be able to start picking up some points and stay in touch of 9th.

For me the season starts now. By all accounts McKee and Dunne played well for the reserves so that will be like 2 new signings to add to the squad. I know McKinnon isnt a miracle worker but I'd be surprised if he can't get a good bit more from the squad than Hartley did. Hopefully some simple organisation and direction will see us pick up some points.

I like the look of this but possibly someone else in for Paton.

What side did Greenwood and Dunne play?

I don't think there is much on the list (just a quick glance) but maybe 1 or 2 could do a job for us. But yes it's grim that it's came to that

I'm just hoping McKinnon comes in with a clear game plan in mind. I looked at his Morton and Dundee Utd teams they seemed to play either 442 or 4231. Just keep it simple with players in proper positions and I'll be happy.

Better today. Was always going to be a hard game going up there never mind going up with confidence at rock bottom. Better from Sammut today hopefully the lad is going to make me look like a right numpty for suggesting we finish his loan early. Glad there is a 2 week break in the league now it will let McKinnon get some good work done on the training field with a wee game in-between.

My team wouldn't have been far away from that. Brough will start I think for his height with Russell left mid. Not sure we will play 2 up top today though.

I'm actually very happy with this. I know he didn't do too well at Utd but done a good job everywhere else. Good solid appointment for me!

Morton fans disagree regarding budget, he had enough money to do the job.

I personally want a young hungry manager that can progress us quickly like Ross done with St Mirren. I don't want a mid table dinosaur like Duffy. I feel depressed.

Who has been Duffy's assistant through the years? Usually they have someone they go to.

That's why I'd like Kerr to get a shot. Might not work out but I've heard good things about the work he has done with us and since he has been at Ayr. He might just bring something new to the table. Duffy is a bit meh. Just shows how much we have messed up this summer if we need to go to a mid table championship manager to steady the ship.

Hopkin would be the next obvious target. Not sure about Caldwell he done terrible at his last club although not sure what the circumstances were there to be fair. If Hopkin or someone similar surfaced then all good. If not then Kerr would be my pick.

My 2 picks were McCall and McIntyre but they are no longer options. We need someone that the fans will get behind and I think most of our support would give him a chance. Can you imagine the mood of Duffy or the likes of Lee Clark got the job? I'm not sure I coukd go and watch that.

I do think it's a gamble but looking at who's left I think anyone will be a gamble. I think of what Alex Neil done at Hamilton when I think of Kerr. I just think he would do a good job for us. I know one thing I'd rather it was him than the likes of Duffy.
