  1. What about folk that wear a watch with the face on the inside of their wrist? This used to be a minor irritant of mine, but I'm not sure it is even a thing these days.
  2. In the words of St Billy of Connolly, people get a wee bit excitable at times.
  3. I think that might be the one I'm referring to. Was the Spar also a Post Office? The boozer would be the Albert Bar.
  4. Davie Martin was also involved with the other club I mentioned. The one that's still open, next to the big church.
  5. I always get confused with the club on the High Street near the bypass and the big church (still open, but now strict about non-members popping in) and the club near Bank Street, opposite Kelly's which closed a few years back.
  6. Well that's disappointing. Had a pint in Sandy's Bar in Lochee, number 1 bus from the Stack and a pint in Frews planned. Was looking forward to the Johnny Scobie song as well. Don't even know if I'm going to make the "replay".
  7. The only thing to be thankful about in this sorry debacle is the absence of Trump.
  8. Any experts out there? We could maybe form a P&B database. What do you feel qualified to offer information and advice on?
  9. Also remember to remove the packaging to avoid a melted plasticy mess.
  10. I still think QP fans are not getting the root of the problem. To recruit full-time footballers to the third tier of Scottish football is a challenge in itself. I have no idea what kind of wages they are offering but they are competing with the likes of Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle for players who are prepared to earn a pretty modest wage as a full-time professional. I can't see this as a sustainable business model for a club attracting 500 - 600 fans per week. I would not like to be the individual presenting the accounts at your next AGM.
  11. That's a wee bit racist to be honest. In fact, that's a big bit racist.
  12. No, I think you'll find that's you on top of the avoiding questions league. Here is another one for you to avoid. How do you rate yourself about respecting other forum users?
  13. The standard response from someone who thinks they are good at talking but unwilling/ incapable of listening. Here is a question. When was the last time you took some good advice on board?
  14. Can someone please advise VT that it might be a wise move to back down when he engages with someone more informed than himself. I think it's called making an arse of yourself.
  15. A fair result in the end. I don't get this QP experiment of full-time football with a part-time sized fan base. Has it ever worked before? Think Gretna. We tried a hybrid system a few years back and it was an unmitigated disaster. You are a wee team in a big city. You are not even a wee team in a wee town like Arbroath, who are showing what a wee team in a wee town can achieve with good organisation and a sensible part-time set up.
  16. Oliver has a few belting tunes, as does Fiddler on the Roof (steady Kenneth), but I largely concur that musicals are best avoided.
  17. When did adding cheese to everything become a thing? Sounds suspiciously American. Anyway. Toast, butter, vegemite, beans is the way to go.
  18. You might jest, but the birth of a Jamie Maradona Stewart was registered in Dundee in 1986.
  19. Acht, this is where we are still at. If we happen to be holders of a UK passport and examine the not so small print, you will find that we are subjects of the monarch, and not citizens of a country. Many might describe this situation as being an unsatisfactory state of affairs.
  20. You go quite weird when a topic involves women, if you dont mind me saying. Chancer. Should be wearing a mask.
