  1. Transfers 2122 That's the first part of my clear out, but there's still plenty more to go. The only one I'd have liked to keep is Aydin Gunay, who is exceptional, but my hands were tied there as they met his release clause. And far fewer players coming in. George Nica is a goalkeeper who is coming in to be my number 1. Long term, he won't be good enough but he's certainly an improvement on what I had and getting him early allowed me to focus on other areas of my squad. Ive Mohac is a centre half, who is my replacement for Gunay. He's not as good as Gunay, undoubtedly, but he's still a decent enough defender. Not good on the ball, and not great in the air, but good tackler, solid marker and he has a bit of pace and doesn't switch off. About as good as I could hope for. Filipe Mendes is a striker. He's a good finisher, and good on the ball generally. He could be better in terms of his movement, and he's not the quickest or the best in the air. But he's still a decent enough player for the level we're at. Takes a lovely penalty too. Roman Korinek is the pick of the bunch, and is a central midfielder. He's probably the one who I would expect to feature in my team long term, and the first step towards building a team that can compete. His ability to get around the pitch is his main strength, and he's decent enough technically as well. Damir Tkalcic is a right back, and is here to allow me to play my strongest centre back pairing together rather than having to shift one of them out. He's great physically, but not technically. Still, he'll do a job for a wee while.
  2. I hope that every single Airdrie fan is left needing serious psychiatric intervention due to the result of this game.
  3. Good to get debuts for Loney and Campbell. Other than that, onto the important stuff on Tuesday.
  4. Ross Stewart has conceded at least three goals in every single appearance for us, and at least once in every single half he’s played.
  5. Is there not some rule that each club can only have 2 home games each on the tv? I’d assume that’s a big part of why this has been chosen.
  6. Hate to say it, but I honestly believe that playing him could be construed as match fixing.
  7. Genuinely, all I’m getting from this is that you think transphobia is just swell. Am I correct?
  8. Anyway, if Alba really wanted to get the “Indy da” constituency onside, they should’ve claimed that they voted with three unionist parties against two other unionist parties since they’re the only ones really committed to independence or something.
  9. Regardless of any ‘momentum’ or whatever, it’s important to remember that Alba are a bunch of crackpots led by a sex pest, and under no circumstances should anyone with pretences of being a reasonable human being vote for them.
  10. Is this a cricket reference, because I genuinely haven’t got a clue what you mean.
  11. I think that ultimately Forbes is aware that the SNP minority government at present are relying on the greens to be able to function fully. Given that the greens have made it perfectly clear that they won’t work with her, that leaves her the choice of being a part of a Swinney government that can function, or leader of one that can’t. I think she’s probably playing the long game and hoping that, in future, they’ll be a situation where the SNP don’t rely on the greens, and she can launch a bid there.
  12. Aye and if you’d won every other game as well it’d have been even earlier than that.
  13. Fucking hell. For context, that's only 7 more than the mob I managed in San Marino have.
  14. As I recall, Adeloye was very keen to go down south when he was leaving Ayr so I would imagine he’ll stay down there again if he can. Would absolutely take him back though.
  15. I’m procrastinating like f**k instead of doing a job application, but just had a look back and if all my predictions on Thistle games came in we’d be on 95 points with a +70 goal difference. A real shame I’m not very good at predictions tbh.
  16. NK Lokomotiva - Meet the team Four stars is a good player for most HNL1 sides, 3 is a leading player for the division below Hajdarevic is by far the best striker I have - and I have an awful lot of them. That's the first thing I noticed, the squad is fucking massive. There's a couple of decent enough back up players, but most of this squad isn't up to it. Angulo is heading back to Young Boys from his loan very shortly, so probably need some more depth of guys who are actually half decent. Improvements to all of these positions would be nice. All of these guys are pretty much playing at their peak as well, which isn't ideal, so I would need to look into bringing in some players here. Given that Hajdarevic will be playing up front, I need better in here. Bockaj is only 22, so if I play him he should develop at least, but I do need more in here. Strongest area of my team. I'm pleased with that and don't see any need for immediate recruitment, unlike with basically everywhere else. Not only having seven goalkeepers, but all of them are shite.
  17. Also, three pitch invasions for the one (second tier) title win is completely ripping the arse out of it.
  18. Ayr United 1 - 2 Dunfermline Athletic Dundee United 1 - 1 Partick Thistle Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 - 0 Greenock Morton Queen’s Park 1 - 2 Airdrieonians Raith Rovers 4 - 0 Arbroath
  19. I'm off to the Croatian capital and Lokomotiva Zagreb. They're such a massive deal that the list on wikipedia of major sports clubs in Zagreb doesn't even mention that they exist. I've been to Croatia, but not Zagreb, but it was nice. I do recall thinking that there was an alarming amount of nazi-themed graffiti, but other than that. Again, maybe Zagreb isn't like that so who knows. In real life, they've spent the vast majority of their existence in the lower reaches of the league system, but they have had some success in more recent years since linking up as a feeder side to Dinamo Zagreb - the actual big team in the city. In game, we've been runners up in the league on five occasions, third placed on 10 and lost six cup finals - but have no major honours to their name. Last season (and the season before) we finished second bottom, but only the bottom side goes down and we've been a stalwart of the top flight for over 100 years now. Croatian football is completely and utterly dominated by Dinamo Zagreb - they're only a few seasons away from making it 100 league titles in a row. They also win almost every cup - Osijek are the only other team to have won a couple throughout the save, and they've only got about 4. A total nonsense of a situation to be honest, but oh well. They routinely get high 90-100 points per season, in a 36 game season. Based on all of that, and the fact that we're still officially a feeder club to the club I'm trying to topple, makes me think this'll be one of the bigger tests of the save. Here we go!
  20. So far, the allegations (which I’ve no reason to doubt) are that Ali Adams: picks and chooses when he wants to turn up for training Is disruptive when dropped from the team. Doesn’t listen to managers instructions. Is that about right? If so, being told to stay away from the club/team seems perfectly reasonable tbh. Regardless of whether you think the replacement in Boruc is any better (and I’d be willing to bet he’ll have a better career than Adams), you can’t be having that.
