  1. Yeah every so often I revisit that Acid Bath album...it's really good!
  2. I think you're missing the massive sarcasm that's dripping from Yassin's post. You are very welcome to keep the smiley big wavy-limbed inflatable guy.
  3. Yeah I completely agree with that. I can't get my head around the view that Obika is a bad player, and can only think it's skewed in that direction by his lack of availability/reliability. When he's fit he's a good, and very effective forward player. Of course, you can be the best player in the world and be absolutely useless if you're never available, but that's a different story. For me, Obika is talented but useless.
  4. In hindsight it was very naive of us to be surprised that a player St Johnstone fans said was shit, turned out to be perfectly useable once they got away from the place.
  5. For me that's only part of the story. Goss is the type of player who is very effective in a team that's playing well, but not the kind that will make a difference to a team that isn't. I would say that it was more a case of Kettlewell improving the team as a whole which had the knock-on effect of allowing Goss to do what he's best at, as opposed to getting anything extra out of him individually. He's a very talented footballer and you can tell he's been coached at the highest level, but you need your other players to also be doing their bit for him to be effective.
  6. Turns out it was St Johnstone that were fucking murder and not Sir Theolonius. I for one am shocked at this.
  7. You need to stop suckin too hard on that lollipop, or love's gonna get you down.
  8. You'd be surprised how many keepers are told not to come for corners under any circumstances. Get something in the way of the ball if it's coming towards your big white rectangular bit, but if it's not, let the defenders do their job. Not necessarily saying it's our approach, but it's a common one.
  9. Genuine question, do you not find it a notable scenario? Further genuine question, if St Johnstone had signed that many of your ex staff members and players in the last 2 seasons, are you saying that St Mirren fans wouldn't be mentioning it and having a wee laugh about it? Final genuine question, if St Mirren fans did mention it and have a wee laugh about it, would it be because you were obsessed with St Johnstone?
  10. I mean, that's hardly up there with dropping your keeper on the same day you announce his record of consecutive games!
  11. I'm very vaguely aware of the Carson/Robinson thing, and get the impression it's all just speculation regarding what happened, but what's the rumoured gist? I tried to go back through their thread to find out, but there's only so much you can read about us being "obsessed" with them, whilst seemingly being totally oblivious to the fact that Trevor Carson, Richard Tait, Charles Dunne, Declan Gallagher, Mark O'Hara, Curtis Main, Tony Watt, Mikael Mandron, Keith Lasley, Stephen Robinson, Diarmuid O'Carroll and Martin Foyle, is at the very least....a bit funny. Claiming to not appreciate why that would become a standing joke, is even weirder than the situation itself. Anyway.....what's supposedly happened with Robbo and Big Trev?
  12. Are there any other sets of fans that would be hitting the panic button, especially about where goals are going to come from, after gearing up for the season by playing 8 games, scoring 19 goals, only conceding in two of them and comfortably progressing to the knock-out's of the league cup as group winners? I'm not saying we don't need anyone else but I have to say, I'm pretty fucking relaxed about the whole thing.
  13. We do love a redemption arc to be fair! Unfortunately we always seem to forget to let go at that point, and we cling on tight as it swings back down into the shitter again, but I'm on board for the first part!
  14. Next you'll be correcting me that John Sutton has actually seen a ball. I'm sure you're aware it was a flippant comment about Mandron being shit for one club and seemingly not shit for the next one, and how that might (hopefully) relate to Theo Bair.
  15. I don't know the first thing about Theo Bair, but I do know I have seen 2 things with my own eyes - John Sutton looking like he'd never seen a ball before whilst at Hearts, and more recently Mikael Mandron single handedly dragging St Mirren through the cup group stages with his goals. If those 2 things can happen, then I'm happy to reserve judgement.
  16. If you're looking at winning the cup then yeah, you have to beat the big teams at some point. But if you're looking at the prize money for each round you get through, then you want to avoid them for as long as possible.
  17. Ayr score again so their GD is 2 better, so the only way we'll be seeded is if County lose a shootout. Edit: County score, so that's seeding oot the windae.
