I think at the end of the day whatever happens st mirren haven't exactly done much to appease their fans. The club statements have confirmed nothing and if he's that keen to stay why are they wasting some of the budget by throwing more cash at him.

Correct. It skirts round the whole subject totally. What the fans needed to hear was I will categorically not be leaving St Mirren to join Dundee. Instead he just confirmed what you'd expect him to be doing at the club. In fact whilst he says they will provide you with a team which you can be proud of he says feck all about whether he'll be managing it.

I wouldn't have thought St Mirren flinging money at him would really make much difference anyway . At the end of the day how much would he have been on at Alloa recently? If he stays at St Mirren it wont be because of finances and all they'll have done is use up more of their budget when they had no real need to. I would expect money to be nearer the bottom of the list of influences when deciding between the Dundee and St Mirren.

Just because Ross hasnt heard anything from Dundee or St Mirren doesn't mean McBride hasn't. I'm sure he'll be stoking up a bidding war between the two as we speak.

Dundee clubs seem to have a habit of treating other clubs like shit when their trying to get a new manager. That old cant Thompson at United just did what he wanted when they were after McCall from us. Got his just desserts finally mind you. Dundee now seem to have the same policy. Only person whose in a no lose situation is Ross. He either goes to Dundee on a better contract, bigger job or he stays at st mirren on a bumper new deal.

Surely you would just speak to his agent. Much quicker than flying a few hundred miles surely.

I think all excess funds are obviously being used to fund Bairds new 5 year deal.
