  1. I'd expect scobbie to see out his contract before taking a drop in wages. He was never the quickest and is only get slower as he nears the end of his career.
  2. Here's hoping your right mate. Shaugnessy may be a top centre half but unfortunately for us he's a god awful fullback. Thankfully our days of playing centrehalfs at right back are long gone. Oops wait a minute.
  3. Yes but I said looking for a game with someone in August. Do you really think He'll be starting games for hibs in the premier come August? No chance.
  4. Can someone start u rumour that we've signed a decent player then for a change.
  5. I presume this close season will be planned out like any others. Season ticket prices announced. Early bird period starts. Early bird period ends. Sale of any decent players for a pittance announced.
  6. I reckon Rory loy would be a decent replacement for McHugh and Baird. Guaranteed 15-17 goals a season in the champ and would be a great partner for Austin. He's the kind of player we should be in for quick and not players like Stanton who will still be looking for a game with someone come August. It's pretty obvious that our previous MO isn't working as we've been in this league now for 8 years.
  7. The bod need to loosen the wage structure to allow us to get better players in. We won't go up If we are restricted in what we can pay players. Whilst the overall wage bill has to have a limit of course Houston should be allowed to decide what he does with the money. If that means signing one player on 1500 quid a week instead of 3 on 500 then that needs to be allowed to happen. Problem with craigen was he was signed as a right mid and played there by Houston when he is far better as a centre mid. Took Houston far to long to realise that. To win the league we need to up our game big style on the signing front especially if du don't go up as they can't be anywhere as poor next season as they've been this one.
  8. Yeah and he's been bang average on every occasion. Member of that great liv ie team that got relegated by stranraer. I'd rather we looked at the likes of Lindsay who was on Loan at Morton last year. If we signed a quality right back, good midfield hard man and a quality front man we won't be far away next season but they need to be better standard .
  9. The same Dumbarton fans rave about the likes of David Smith etc. Honestly signing the likes of Stanton is utterly brutal stuff and says to me we are quite content to stay at championship level. Houston talks a good game after we get knocked out the playoffs and then does exactly the opposite. Says we need better quality and then targets a player like feckin Stanton who'll be getting freed by hibs in a year. Another lightweight too. Friday night was bad enough without this.
  10. McKee was excellent at right mid for the two games. Craigen and taiwo could be worth a bash in the middle.we need a right back and a quality striker to play with Austin. I reckon grant and muirhead would be a strong centrehalf partnership. Get rid of the chaff and replace them with 3 better quality players instead of signing 4 or 5 mediocre ones.
  11. Probably blame you guys for being too negative from the start regarding Locke. Anything to pass the buck.
  12. With gambling being rife in football and directors having been caught recently you can easily guess who had cash on Raith to be relegated from the championship this season. Surely no other excuse for these levels of negligence.
  13. 750 k. McKinnon could get a few Toshneys for that.
  14. I find it amazing that you can actually sustain a full time club on crowds of 750 these days. There must be a fair amount of cash getting pumped in to do that surely.
  15. He'll end up at st Johnstone or Patrick or a team of that ilk.
  16. "Although this agreement extends only until the end of this season, we're confident John's particular brand of management will bring a freshness to Stark's Park and excite our fans." Didn't realise the freshness was league one.
  17. If another league one side comes in for him you can forget him coming back up north.
  18. I'm not so sure. If your not a season ticket holder it's going to be a real struggle. Home end could be the only option.
  19. At least twice. And that has feck all to do with it. Don't get me wrong if I felt that du were going to sell out the rest of the ground I'd have no.complaints about us getting 1500 and it being all ticket. However, there is really no need to make a game all ticket when your going to be lucky if it's much more than half full. Why make it as difficult as possible for fans to watch their team.
  20. With a capacity of 15000 theres absolutely no need to make it all ticket in the first place. I'll be surprised if there's much more than 8-9000 there. They just seem to enjoy making it as difficult as possible to watch games these days.
  21. Only 6000 odd there tonight. God knows where the extra 7000 are going to appear from next Tuesday.
  22. I notice we've given them the whole feckin north stand . Honestly our bod are a bunch of total clowns.
  23. I can't see du selling out the home end so I'd expect there to be loads of tickets available if you can't get one for the away end. Obviously with so much cash going to the spfl there's no real benefit for clubs to sell out. Let's face it du will never sell 13500 tickets for this. I would definitely reciprocate though by cutting the number of tickets they get. I'd give them 1500 and leave 500 empty seats in the north stand.
