Up there with one of the worst ayr tops ever IMO.
Can’t imagine Jewsons being happy with us having another building supplies company as shirt sponsor.
Who are MKM anyway?

With the experience we have.... do we need Mcgeady. I'm not sold on him taking a wage, to do his D.O.F. apprenticeship then f**k off. This is nothing against him, I just don't see the point in him on our payroll... just to play in reserve matches... come on!? Maybe some clarification from the club about him might help but right now, what ever wage he gets, just seems like throwing
in the bin.
Let’s not for get Aiden McGeady is a multi-millionaire from his time in Russia & Englands and believe his significant property empire.
I don’t believe his wage is in anyway significant.
Would your boss tell everyone your wage if they asked?

I’ve heard we are still looking at another 3 or 4 incoming. No names mentioned m, just that we’re still very much in the market.
I’d expect a few more outgoings if we are indeed looking at another 4 new faces.

If that happens then you’d think Stanger might be used more as a right back than centre back. Ashcroft will start every game he’s fit and the theory seems to be that Musonda will be the captain next season. Stanger, Ashcroft, Musonda, McMann is a big improvement on last season. If we actually managed to sign a good right back into the bargain then I’d be saying we’ll be right in the title mix next season.
I think a quality right back, same standard as McMann is more pressing than Ashcroft.
Its been a major deficiency for years that we haven’t addressed.
Stanger is solid there but not sure he’s the solution and we know McAllister isn’t.

If we were to bring in both McMann and Ashcroft, then a back 4 of Stanger-Ashcroft-Musonda-McMann with Reading and McAllister benched. Would not be against going for Corr as well who was rejected a contract from Raith.
Led to believe Ashcroft is still a possibility.

Strong rumours that McMann is in the bag.

Reckon McGinty would have to be one if not our top earner.
Whilst he improved from a bomb scare to a reasonably reliable defender, I don’t doubt that money would be better spent elsewhere.

My only concern is that surely we only have space for one more loan after this one? You want to get player tied down on 2 year contracts if possible and with loan players there’s always the risk they get pulled away in January due to injuries at the parent club or if someone else wants them.
Don’t think there’s a limit on cross border loans.
Agree that we shouldn’t be relying on the loan market though.

There’s no pleasing some people.
Club have an opportunity to add £40k to their income, but some people are unhappy because they can’t stand in their normal spot behind the goal, probably the same people that usually spend the first half at the seggy fence anyway.
Fast forward to January and we need to sign another midfielder/striker/defender and it will be the same people asking where all the money is and why the chairman isn’t putting his hand in his pocket.

There is a joke somewhere in the specsavers line accidentally being posted twice.
Hahaha though I deleted it in time.
for some reason the page doesn’t seem to refresh when I hit “submit reply” leaving me questioning if I actually hit the button.

There is no way on earth Dundee United were paying a guy who was out on loan for 4 years, £8k a week let alone Ayr paying £6k a week to take him on loan.
Inverness had him the season before and they didn’t pay that. Two seasons ago, they recalled him and sent him to Tranmere because they were willing to pay a higher % than us.
The new developments will allow us to pay more for quality or have a larger squad and it might bump our budget up from mid table to top 4 budget.
We still need to spend it correctly to be anywhere near top 4.Think you need to go to Specsavers….

From what has been said, we offered Oakley a 50%. Wage raise. So if he was on £500 a week at Morton, we have offered £750 a week. Which would make him one of the higher earners at Ayr. These numbers are a guess but I doubt Morton are paying much more and we certainly couldn’t offer more than £750 a week.
Was big Sean not allegedly on £1k a while back (according to Morton Fans) plus we gave him an extension, presumably with improved terms.
Minimum wage must be over £400 a week for a full timer so be very surprised if Oakley was on as little as £500 a week.

I don't think Maresca would have had any managerial experience at that time though?
I have no idea why he's potentially getting the Chelsea job. Leicester should have horsed the championship but made hard work of it so not sure why he's getting one of the biggest jobs in the country. Think they are looking at how Artea has done and clubs are now looking for Poundland Pep's.
He was appointed Parma manager 2 months after Glass was appointed. Obviously had enough experience to take on a job like that.
Totally agree though, he’s made heavy weather of the Championship, Leicester should have romped it.

I see Stephen Glass is about to be hired as the new Chelsea manager.
Oh wait, it's one of the guys we allegedly turned down for him.
Think you’re kidding yersel If you think Enzo Maresca was ever seriously in contention for the Aberdeen job.

I have a sneaky feeling Dowds is of to Livvy. Martindale alluded to having a couple of deals done already.
Nothing to support my theory, just a gut feeling.
I’m not fussed about Chalmers, Brown obviously doesn’t fancy him somIll trust the gaffer’s decision.

Is he not getting done for extortion?
He was released from jail, in December 22. Other members of the group have been on trial but not him…
His transfer could probably be completed quicker than Bangala’s.

Is there anyway we can circumnavigate the anti-doping rules and give Pogba a contract?
We’ll end up with Mathias Pogba.

If the 5 year option is limited to the new North Stand then fair enough, anything beyond that jeopardises cashflow in years 3 - 5.
Exactly my point.

Also, if Derek Stillie is indeed stinking the club up again, the tories will happily step in to use the taxpayer money they allegedly detest to bail out one of their own.

Well I know they’re a building supply company but until their name popped up on here I’d never heard of them.
