A week ago, we played 4-3-3 against hearts. I wasnt at the game, but going by here we played well. Looked like it may have been a possible solution given the current injury situation. So why change it back to a 4-4-2 that doesn’t work? What has barry seen during the week that we haven’t?

Its not even a case of having “the banter” between away fans. Makes for a better atmosphere having fans in more parts of the ground. Use to love standing behind the dugouts to watch the game. Think sim is quite rightly looking, not only at the core support, but the extra 1500-2000 that were at the alloa game and finding ways to get them back. Not only that but the making it a more attractive proposition for away fans to come if we have safe standing. These things are worth a try and will understandably take time.

Dont like Somerset at all, but i Think the worst thing about ayr is its a 2 n a bit hour drive back and it seems longer if you have been beaten and just want to get home.

Still, always nice to win a derby, friendly or not. Was actually an alright game and despite him being at dunfermline i really like higginbotham, always moving and looking for the ball and wants to go forward.

Im never sure if rushden is tongue in cheek with england are going to win it, or he truly believes it. James richardson does these world cup podcasts really well. So much more in depth. Barry glendinning is my favourite on the guardian football one. Given all the scaremongering in the press, this show has been great because as you say, they are clearly enjoying their trip and making the most of it. Its not too england-centric as well. (Although it probably will be tomorrow) but generally they have covered the group stages quite fairly.
