  1. I don't think anything you say is wrong and agree with it all. I wouldn't say U20 development is a lure, to some yeah its an extra bonus but some are going to find that its a necessity, (some don't even know it yet), as if they are not a buying club which quite a few junior teams are not then they will require youth coming through so organising it correctly will save money in the future. you said "On the other hand you have lots of clubs who in reality will never get anywhere near the stage where they could gain a licence so entry to the Scottish Cup which is the biggest carrot at the end of the day is just a pipe dream."" But this is also true this season, last season and the past seasons since junior were allowed into the Scottish cup. Just now, you cant tell me not one team would love and not dreamed about the chance to do what Auchinleck have done in the Scottish Senior cup, just they know they will never have the chance of it. I will admit when I hear or read, loyalty to the grade or to the SJFA and or WRJFA I seriously just shake my head. These are people in charge of clubs who are ignorant to all about them, no vision, scared or just want to continue as they are and you know what, let them go for it. The junior teams who want to progress then leave for the new WOS under LL organisation and any teams loyal to the grade then just stay where you are. The more each day passes and the more information I read and see on other medium as wall as this, twitter, facebook etc.. I think I do not want anyone connected to the junior organisation to be including in the organization of any WOS. These people will never change their view and will only lead to problems and hassle so definitely a new start is required. Either all this crap by the juniors saying they are going to get in is legit, only in their minds which looks like looks like a dead donkey or its a rouse by junior association delegates to keep junior teams with them, I say fine, let most stay. All is needed is a few junior teams to leave and enough external junior teams to join and we have a new WOS division and then that's it, it will end up as similar to the East region and be non existent.
  2. I'm pro pyramid too believe it or not but I'm anti judgemental, conspiracy theorists stuck in their bedroom, keyboard warriors... but I aint one of those guys I am objective, thought progressive and only interested in the best for Scottish football and I believe the junior fraternity have fucked up many times and been too blinkered to see the actual truth. They should seriously be ashamed of themselves. This process has really showed them up for what they really are, not fit for purpose. if you think people are keyboard warrior then leave em alone, your only heightening and making bigger what they are trying to achieve. In saying that, there's quite a few on both sides but the junior keyboard warriors are fading away as they really know its dying on its feet
  3. There are facts there are also face to face comments with people in here with people who were at meetings throughout this whole thread. Some are truths on both sides, some are not. Unfortunately you have came on here and have been very negative. You don't even need to read the comments from some of the pro pyramid people to understand what's wrong, read it all yourself, even the timeline and you will see what a mess the juniors are in right now Throughout this whole processes of this thread over the years, things have happened and peoples views and judgements of others have changed. I myself have followed this closely and been involved in junior football all my days but wanted, always wanted a pyramid system intergraded but now from known facts, people I've spoken to face to face regarding meetings and other things I've read here and elsewhere I do not 100% want any junior association member involved in the new WOS league. They have embarrassed themselves, the junior clubs they represent and most all of made a mockery of the junior grade with their tunnel view, none objective views and their greed for power during their power struggles and their failure to compromise. It is better that a full pyramid system is running and that junior clubs decide to join A pyramid system then do so but you will no longer be a junior team, that will be confined to history, your teams history and should be held close to the chest and proud but its a new venture to help Scottish football improve from the bottom up.
  4. To cover, if 32 teams join, we all expect there to be 2 x 16 conference divisions, equal at tier 6 and if there is more than 32 teams I expect there to be 3 x 11 divisions all equal on tier 6. Id expect the top 5 from the 3 divisions including best 6th placed team to make up a top WOS division in tier 6 for 2021/22 and the 6th placed teams to 10th in the 3 divisions including best 11th place team will make up tier 7 for 2021/22 and so on and then any team joining after season 20/21 will either got into tier 7 or below, depending on how many new teams join again
  5. Yeah agree with that 'Footballfirst' but tomorrows meeting is not about teams signing up to the LL, is it not about the LL/EOS/SOS telling the clubs how it all works, the benefits and possible structure of the division (s), depending on how many join. So any club can sign up from now until deadline date, is that correct? To be honest, I've been away working today and came online to read this stuff and if its true what Rooney and co are pinning their mast to, well I think its well fucked, infact I find it quite embarrassing what he is asking them to all do, stick together and stand at the steps of Hampden in protest. Any junior chairman or committee man who was at last nights meeting and if this is what Ronney has said it should be pack up bags and get the ball point pens out for the Lowland League. I'm junior through and through all my days but I see the advantage of the pyramid in so many ways, I feel sorry for the junior guys in power who were so blinkered by their own greed and I believe that they haven't been objective in their views of the situation but as I type this I don't feel sorry enough to let any of them involved in organising or running the new WOS league. I wont slag any of them, although I can see why many will but I believe they have made great error of Judgment(S) which is now going against them all
  6. Think the cell phones wur put in a microwave like they did in the Snowdon movie
  7. Cant remember but don't think an actual date has been set for the EGM but I'm sure they will arrange an EGM with the fans shortly after the events of tonight and Thursday have been dealt and dusted over with.
  8. I'm positive Pollok have arranged a meeting with their fans after both meetings of tonight and Thursday have finished so the committee can go to the fans at an arranged EGM and inform them of the information collected and then work out what the fans decide to be done for Pollok's future
  9. Trying to be objective here but what chairman or secretary in their right mind would sign up to back the West Region when they haven't even heard the other Proposal and it would be the same if it was the LL meeting first then the West region meeting after. Notes of interest are exactly what they are, your interested and having it noted and this should lead you to make constructive decisions after you have heard both sides of the different proposals.
  10. Have to say, what a goal from the Dalry player
  11. Personally being equal saves any hassle to start the league off with. If there is 16 teams or less then its a simple one division if more then best to put it into two conferences and top half of each league at end of season join together to form the top league in tier 6 and the other bottom half's the 2nd division and any new team after that follow on divisions behind.
  12. Unfortunately Killiepiyo, Spyro is 100% correct in his post and you know what, this is why we are in the situation we are in right now because of blinkered people like you are actually the same as the idiots who run the junior grade who want it all their own way. Too many junior clubs have thought "f**k THIS SHITE, we as a club want to TRY and Progress" and the only opportunity open to them is to leave junior football. This is a conundrum, out of all the teams who left the juniors in the past 3 years, which one of those teams consider themselves to still be a junior team, I don't think any if one or two, maybe. Junior football is wilting / fading away because of attitudes like yours, that's a fact, there's no getting away with it and yes its sad to see.
  13. Sorry I've played junior all my days and watched it all my days and never realised this. Even in youth football, the Scottish cup and regional cups you have 3 attempts at home to get the tie played, if not, its switched to the opponents ground. I take it that this is only in junior football that this is allowed
  14. I've genuinely had a right good giggle at this, seriously. You must be in the know ehh or a mystical crystal ball. This sounds like sour grape or its ma baw so if I'm no playing, no one is Auchinleck Talbot would be welcomed with open arms im sure but I don't think they will go this year but they will realise that too many have left and will join a year or two later but if so then they should go in at tier 8 as it SHOULD BE first come, first served.
  15. if they are, they're even dummer that they post lolol It's actually a meeting where I believe its for various level of clubs, Youth, Amateur, Junior and Senior clubs who have expressed an note of interest in the new WOS league. Its for interested clubs and as far as I'm aware everyone invited is in club capacity only and NOT JUNIOR ASSOCIATION MEMBER CAPACITY and if they turned in in that manner they would be shown the door
  16. Totally agree but that's why I deliberately replied the way I did
  17. I just wanna check this, your saying and I quote above in bold that there is a meeting scheduled including the LL when was this arranged, dates please but remember there's are I quote "the LL-WOSFL information meeting on Thursday night for all potential clubs who may apply for the new WOS league" I wonder if BOTH meetings will go ahead
  18. oh Theesel1994 I don't know where or who you heard this from but you know there would be absolutely no chance this was happening, why because common sense would tell us that if it was true t would be all over twitter and other online medium from junior members that something positive for the juniors getting in the back door and to be honest, if it was put online and was a windup then the LL etc.. would decry it to be lies so that's why it was never seen online, no that's not true, that's why I've never seen this alleged meeting online. I've never heard of this meeting, has anyone else
  19. To be honest regarding this thread when posts are added into thread about other countries pyramid system this doesn't serve anything right now. In order to change the pyramid system will take a huge big collaboration between all parties. So personally the more important stuff on this thread is about junior teams leaving for the pyramid or staying junior. There are many countries whose systems works and many whom I'm sure don't. So lets get a full system up and running including a missing WOS and then change / tweak the pyramid accordingly in the future I've been looking at a few recent posts and a few people have actually said that when you come down to it, the ones for the juniors to stay don't really come up with any creditable excuse to stay, the Scottish junior cup is probably the strongest, nothing else. The excuse that many on here, forget the people who are anti junior or anti pyramid, use for reasons to join the pyramid and why it will work etc.. and the evidence is there to see and so powerful that every JUNIOR club committee including the guy at Kilbirnie are failing their club and fans if they do not look at it objectively and they really aren't looking at it objectively. It's such a shame, my view, that these clubs are going to suffer because of certain people on each of their committees who are blinkered. What these people have done, have really showed themselves up and its probably the correct reason why none of the other leagues want these people involved anywhere near running leagues in the pyramid as all it will do it grow criticism and resentment on each side. Junior football is wilting away, that's a fact, it is seriously a fact as too many clubs are waking up and realising they want to be able to control their own destiny not the shelf that is produced by the junior association. I have to add its not fair on the juniors in regards to wilting away as football is not growing in Scotland so we need change but the juniors looks as if its been deteriorating for years and has been escalating for the past couple of years in the East and now in the West and I see in the next few years there only being a few local leagues in the West, (possibly 2 divisions) and in the East, (1 division). The youth football is in decline, has been for a long time so to be honest any junior team who don't have a youth set up collaboration is failing its club and I don't mean a party favour trade off with a player here and there getting some game time I mean a fully focused collaboration with everyone on one goal to bringing the youths through because lets face it, youths should and will be playing in all teams in 5/10/15/30 years time so the people of clubs who are blinkered, shame on you
  20. The prestige disappeared the moment Linlithgow, Boness and Bonnyrigg left. Have to agree with energyzone, the East juniors especially with over 20 teams leave a couple of years ago means more fans of most junior tams thinks the Scottish Junior Cup has been diluted somewhat. People think there is a chance that the final will be all west teams, the same in youth football at U21s and u19s although the east had a resurgence this year at 19s. The reason why the south challenge cup is called the south challenge cup is that its all south of the country teams but then if all the juniors joined they could incorporate everyone together but for some in a main non league Scottish cup, there will be some losers will a far travel but that happens in the junior cup as well.
  21. I think one of the things people are forgetting. everything including this season with Rossvale right now will be in the past next year and its a whole different situation, a new league, old rivalries, local rivalries and new rivals are about to happen, this will simulate interested, get more people on board including fans and sponsors. So nothing will be the same as this season and last season and its a lot more teams, different objectives, league playoffs etc... What is Polloks average crowd - 500 a match ? f they joined this new league, do you think it would be less or more or same Rossvale's average crowd - 100 a match ? f they joined this new league, do you think it would be less or more or same Kilwinning average crowd - 300 a match ? f they joined this new league, do you think it would be less or more or same Kilwinning average crowd - 100 a match ? f they joined this new league, do you think it would be less or more or same Everything will change, that's a fact but will it be better or worse for each club, its really first and for most each club has to get their house in order making sure all opportunities are taken if and when they arise. personally I think the attendances will go up and then we will all see if it continues because any team leaving the juniors will NO LONGER BE A JUNIOR TEAM, that's all for the history books as each team from the junior ranks will be a SENIOR TEAM p.s. the average crowds was just guessing, I have no actual information on the crowds average attendance of those 3 teams or the rest of the junior teams, so please don't be offended if I got your team wrong
  22. Just to Clarify, they said Option z was backed by LL and the SPFL but that's still bad lolol
  23. Agreed. Unfortunately we will never know but most know out of all the options, Option Z is the last one LL/EOS would go for and there would have been a better chance of acceptance from the LL/EOS if option W was offered
  24. First of all Junior has been part of me since a 10 year old, and I admit it wholeheartedly, from going to a Scottish junior cup final at Hampden, to playing in the juniors for the majority of my career and then watching junior matches season after season. Am I for the pyramid?, hell yeah, why because I have vision. Do I want the junior hierarchy involved ? nope as I think the past couple of years of stupidity should that tell you why. They all actually want similar to Option W after knocking option W back, raising the as an association have been well and truly binned, yes binned and quite rightly so and was there lies to get clubs to back option w hmmmm, we all have our views on that one as well The problem with comments like beenzan taste, if he made genuine comments that could be possible. instead of trying to, in my mind, shit stir then he would be considered as a person that we could look into his points as he is junior but the comments like this one and similar puts you off people in this grade, especially the ones in power or some kind of power
