  1. Exactly, but of the 48 teams/clubs who expressed an interest in the senior pyramid, some will join the pyramid and some will stay in the junior ranks. If some will, then it will most definitely have an effect on the rest making them either jump or stay, similar to what happened to the East juniors. I expect most will have an interest with the juniors as they don't want to rock the boat incase they don't join the pyramid. I'm 99% certain that a WOS league will start and that's all it needs, even just one division to start off with and you will eventually see other teams over the years join the senior ranks but only to go in at the bottom and quite rightly so, first come first served each year. This first year every team I believe is classed as equal so a divisions or divisions will be worked out
  2. I definitely agree about attracting better players and managers/coaches is better to be in the senior grade than the junior grade but the same can be said of better local youth players. I'm still surprised about that Linlithgow don't have a development squad. I feel this is a chance to get more local people involved in Linlithlgow with a development team young lads will want to be a part of Linlithgow and join a Linlithgow academy if there was one and thus spark more interest with the team and you'd get the chance to bring on board better local youth players as they see the chance of making the senior grade with Linlithgow. Is a development team something that Linlithgow have looked into or they quite happy the way things are
  3. ffs common, that's not the cost to join the pyramid structure /seniors. That's a quote from one company to supply floodlights for any team who wants to get licensed. I'm sure there are other companies and deals can be struck I would advice any team/club not to get floodlights straight away as there is no rush, get your house in order, make sure you have everything in place to get ready for when you get floodlights. Any junior teams can join the pyramid and not get licensed for year and years and then all of a sudden decide to go and get licensed. Nothing is guaranteed in business, you still have to put out a winning team in order to get the chance even if you are licensed, so why rush
  4. San Starko 100% agreed but these people who thinks this either haven't done any research or just out to shit stir and confuse many others during this process and what's worrying is that some of these people are in committees or in power at associations stating these myths
  5. it should be but then again some clubs outside of junior football will also apply and they will go in at what is deemed as acceptable for their team/club. I'm getting a feeling that it will be two divisions, conference A and B in the first year, 2020/21, top 6 of each conference division will make up the tier 6 the following year, 2021/22, and the bottom 6 from both divisions would be tier 7 and then any team joining next year will be added in below the tier 7. So possibly any big guns who don't join in the pyramid for the 2020/21 season,, Auchinleck, Pollok etc... will go in at Tier 8. That is without doubt the fairest solution
  6. As I said before id be happy with one division starting and if it does start then it will grow each year. The only problem is, teams who remain if and when they join the WOS will go in at a lower tier thus they have year to make up as lower teams might be above them to get to the level they think or they should be. As a committee of any team, interesting times and decisions ahead. Personally its a no brainer, join the pyramid now even if your a lower down junior club, you go in higher up and enjoy a couple of fruitful years as some bigger teams join
  7. You have to remember Kilbirnie have expressed an interest and their chairman, what's his name, says they wont be going unless all junior clubs are going which means Kilbirnie wont be one of the clubs joining the new WOS, so its definitely down to 47. There will be a few other clubs who will bottle it etc that's the normal but if its two divisions Id think that's great. I was only wanting one division at the very least so we would have a new WOS up and running.
  8. The ERSJFA was NEVER going to get in at tier 6, as that was one of the whole problems with the juniors joining. The EOS was never going to go for it and were backed by the LL and the SOS and quite rightly so. This is old ground but you cant have two east region leagues in the pyramid. The EOS wanted the east region juniors to be integrated into the EOS league the other sticking points where the Tayside teams in the East juniors, what would happen with them but while all the problems of this were going on the EOS and the SOS still said that the WRJFA could go in at Tier 6 as the new WOS league but the Scottish junior association wanted it all their own way so talks broke down
  9. Further proof that every one of you Junior haters hang on everything that comes from Burnie as being solid gospel truth. I am not a junior hater, far from it, been involved in it most of my life since a 10 year old boy. I believe I come at this in an objective manner giving me a balanced and fresh outlook on what is best for the team that I follow and all junior and senior teams and for me, the bigger picture is the effect on the youths in football. I want to see anyone's team who if they believe that to better themselves then its best to join the pyramid system/senior ranks and any team thinks its best to remain and who wants to remain at the junior ranks should stay juniors, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Once a junior teams leaves the junior ranks for the pyramid they will cease to exist as a junior team and if they decide to go back to the junior ranks then they will cease to exist as a senior team. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, free choice, no bullying no lying from any side, just come in it objectively and you will find the best solution for your team.
  10. and am I correct in thinking the SFA have given consent to the Lowland League to operate a new WOS for next year? So the LL are in the throws or getting it up and running with new and existing members
  11. This isn't a mock up, is this real ? Why don't they understand and get it through their nut, there is no salvation of any junior association or team if you move to the pyramid / seniors. you are no longer junior. None of these people should be involved in the new league. its like opening a can of worms in like Hellraiser, the decaying worms keeps squishing out of the tin again and again. I'm genuinely thinking what is going on in these peoples heads, they are just not thinking rationally G4mac said "fear that junior clubs may well be adversely impacted on by the whole mess being created. " so true what was said But if they do, they really are weak mined committees and I'm sure if the teams that follow the junior association will actually deserve to be where they are
  12. I can imagine your right Shannon but who really cares if it doesn't sit well, they can just stay in their junior grade if that's what they want and the teams who want to progress join the pyramid. Personally, I don't think LL or the EOS and the SFA would entertain The Scottish Juniors association plans for many reasons. The Junior organisation is now laughable and even people who were on the fence will now be thinking stuff the juniors as the junior association is verging on shambolic, if not already passed shambolic, and why would you allow a shambolic organisation to operate in the seniors. It really needs a clean sweep, new people at the hell, everyone on an even keel. People need to remember, any team joining the new WOS in the pyramid is no longer a junior team team. It will be a new chapter in that teams history so they wont be referred to as a junior team anymore. I believe I was always objective and seeing points on both sides but now I'm genuinely thinking for the health of non league football in Scotland, the Junior organisation should stay where they are and any junior team who wants to remain like Kilbirnie should just stay junior and any junior team who wants to progress or join what they think is a better league then resign from the junior association and join the WOS, pure simple
  13. suppose nothing wrong as long as it telling it the way it is and not making stuff up. Anyone got a copy to show the standard email, or is it standard
  14. This is my main thing, I'm seriously looking forward to see some well known juniors interact with some other teams in a new WOS league and divisions and cup games. Think there will be so much interest and curiosity that will make it's possibilities take off and a lot of the junior teams who stay junior next season will begin to realise the chance to jump on the adventure shouldn't be left for another season. I'm also looking forward to seeing the Youth development league take off in the West as well, giving a lot of lads the dreams of a senior pathway is in their grasp but they know commitment and attitude need sot be right. Yeah , genuinely looking forward to it all
  15. Feck it, I'll guess as well: 12 WRJFA clubs 2 SoSFL clubs 2 EoSFL clubs (well I'm sure they might have thought of it) 1 Amateur club 17 clubs on the move to a new WoSFL which might make it awkward as a 17 team divison The following season I do think more will follow, well at least another 10 or more will go but not less than 10 West Region clubs. Don't think the clubs will wonder why they stayed as they and we all know why, its the fans who will be pissed off why they stayed.
  16. Yes right now, everything is speculation. I'm genuinely expecting, say about 10 west teams, but this really depends on who the West Junior teams are who will be moving and then can see more Junior teams might think, 'no, I'm going if they are going'. I just want a WOS o start and I genuinely think they first to leave if only about 10 will benefit for the next few years, especially if any teams are from lower down the west region who join a new WOS. If its anywhere near 20 teams from the West then that is major damage for the juniors and if there was anything like you say 48 and 3 conference divisions then its an earlier death nail for the junior association than expected. I can see the LL announcing the new WOS and all the teams joining and then quite a few West Region teams contacting the LL to ask to join at the last minute like what happened in the East side a couple of years ago and yeah, there is nothing wrong with the LL and EOS accepting last minute or late entry teams into the West. Also thinking of it, if the LL and EOS know they will have enough teams to start an WOS they need to make a statement informing everyone that a New WOS will definitely start as we all think it will but know there's it nothing concrete to say its starting, if they do this then I think it will accelerate more juniors teams thinking process of not wanting left behind..
  17. Controversy here and don't mind being shoot down like an inexperienced pilot flying in the world war one battle of Briton. I don't expect this to ever happen in the juniors with the Scottish cup but I said it anyways Never been a fan of a two legged semi final, should be two single semi/finals, played to a finish, making it two exciting ties. This gives the juniors association less games to organise and the final can be brought forward. The only reason for two legged ties, I can see, is to try and take in more cash and yeah it does gives the favourites of the semi finals the chance to make up for their mistake in the first leg. Also arrange dates for the two semi finals and finals at the start of the season and stick to the dates
  18. To be honest I think its a practical way and a theoretical way as well, combined, your covering all bases, doing the basic research that really all should do and then taking it further If I was supporting one of the clubs in the east, Id be pissed off if the committee didn't do their research on the matter, the pro and cons of moving, what is expected to be left next season cause I expect one fan of every junior team will have done their own research and know a thing fo two of the benefits and problems of leaving and staying. in the west you'd be really surprised by how many chairmen or committee haven't got a clue of the pyramid and how it really works
  19. The difference for the East junior teams that remain, than that of the West juniors is that The East Junior teams are able to call on the other previous junior teams and find out their experience, positives and negatives from last few years moving from East region juniors to the EOS league and then looking at what is left in their junior league, they can then make an objective decision on the future of their clubs.
  20. No many will believe me but I actually got a higher at Maths, am still shocked. As I stated before, I'm on the outside looking in and it could be a number of reasons why the manager resigned. i.e Fauldhouse changing from their traditional colours, (which I don't know) to pink or to all blue or green or red or yellow or it could be the pie hut isn't gonna be updated and yes its purely speculation on my part but I expect Fauldhouse will remain junior and that's the reason the manager left but I've been wrong in the past and right in the past with many things. As Che said, I'm sure the Fauldhouse committee didn't like the public ultimatum and im sure that was addressed when they all met together.
  21. Yes Che Dail, I 100% agree about being too honest but doesn't matter if he made it public about resigning if Fauldhouse decided not to join the pyramid or just saying it in a private meeting with the comittee, I get the impression that the same outcome would happen anyways, nothing to do with the ultimatum, the committee have decided they do not want to leave the junior ranks for the pyramid. As all this pyramid/junior/senior carry on continues I have really come to the conclusion that teams who stay are either weak, caught in ole times/history or have no vision for their clubs future as staying without doubt there is nothing to gain from it anymore and possibly demise if more teams leave the junior ranks.
  22. lol call me ole fashioned but you do have a thing for Elgin, especially on a Tuesday night. lolol, I don't think any of us who move to the senior ranks from the junior grade have any chance of meeting Elgin. Suppose its all our loss, especially on a Tuesday night, by the way, they have an excellent chippy up there, just saying like
  23. I don't blame them. Most will go because other's will go, they don't want to publicly state they are 100% staying incase all around them leaves. Also if I'm a fan of a club and they make a decision to stay without consulting the fans I would really go off my nut, probably the same if they went without informing us either, so id suspect some haven't made it public that they are staying ether. There will be teams who leave, that's for sure just depends how many from the junior ranks. No team is going to state they are leaving until the know they will be accepted incase of repercussions if they cant. Lets be realistic, if Kilwinning, Clydebank, Pollok, Auchinleck, Cumnock and Hurlford said they were leaving, then rest would leave, well most of the West Junior teams. None of these teams have officially stated they will leave, only most believe Clydebank and Kilwinning are sure to leave at the very least. We have had a few teams with statements which are on the fence, stating they are behind the junior association in making this happen but if not that they will be ready to move if need be. I think nearly everyone is in agreement that there will be a new WOS just depends how many teams join. if there is 16 or less I'd expect it to be one division feeder into the LL if more than 16 they may make it two divisions and the top half of each division in the 20/21 season will make up the Top division and by 21/22 most who have stayed junior will definitely be thinking of moving or at least give it some thought
  24. I think there will be quite a few teams left in the West but quite a few will leave for the WOS but in the next few years it will go similar to the East. Aint gossip, just what was said to me this week. Spoke to one West region team's chairman who says they won't be making a statement either way but said they definitely wont be left behind if other teams leave. I get the impression that you wont find any West team state they are leaving officially until the meeting after, the 31st of march and that time the teams who are intending to leave will be confirmed. that's what I take from it So officially we have West: none officially leaving but many put a note of interest in. East: Kirkcaldy & Dysart, Thornton Hibs, Kennoway Star Hearts and Rosyth with many others from the West and East making a note of interest.
