  3. I thought Watt did very well last night, linked play and pressed well worked hard and looked a class above. He missed a couple of good chances in saying that. Hes easy to knock and for good reason but he has to be in the side assuming he continues to work hard which should be the bare minimum. Cudjoe did well as well I thought but is a worry if starting regularly. Right of the three is a concern as I agree on Middleton. Possibly Niskanen there? Hoped Chalmers would be involved but looks like hes gonna be away. Grimshaw looked poor but its early days. Opinions eh My main concern and its a big one is where the goals are going to come from. Moult if he stays fit should obviously contribute and Id expect Watt to chip in for sure but theres not a lot of goals in the rest of team. A lot of nice young players but I cant see them getting many.
  4. Thought the keeper was a positive as well as obviously Fotheringham who looked excellent. Moult getting 45 also was a plus and Sibbald has to be in the three in the middle. Denholm was murder and Graham has to get minutes ahead of him. If theres nothing in it ability wise our youngster has to get the minutes. Would like to see Chalmers get some game time and would be happy if Middleton was told he could leave. Hasn't worked out for him and will be on decent money compared to a lot of the others that are left. Right back is a problem and has been for a while. If Niskanen is staying would give him a go there. Even after losing 9/10 guys we still have a pretty big squad with the 16 on show tonight plus Newman, Niskanen, McLeod, Chalmers and Grimshaw. (Plus Behich/Mulgrew/Brig ) there is no doubt others as well that Ive managed to forget.
  5. Excellent signing .. If hes on a pay as you play deal.
  6. Denham on loan from Cardiff. Called up to wales squad in 2022. Just played once in the league for the Bluebirds.
  7. Suppose its all about money and the quality or lack of it we can afford. Im pretty sure the likes of Liam Smith and the other boys we have released would look very good in the championship and Id be very surprised if these boys are better than what we have/had. We did need a different type of player though as the current squad is pretty lightweight with a lot of nice players. Definitely seems like the potential for a Mark Durnan in there.
  8. Assuming thats right I didnt realise that clubs that take players on loan (Fleetwood) are due part of the developement fee. If so Ross County would be due something as well Id have thought.
  9. Agree with all of that. Were obviously short up top. I think were an improving side though. Fox has done pretty well I think, got us in a much better shape and are definitely showing more going forward than we did under Courts and Mellon. From our start of the season where we were a shambles, miles adrift and had 2 points from 8 games we've picked up 18 from 14 and were unlucky not to win against a good Hearts side and were robbed at Hibs. We also don't have Celtic to play again where all those around us do whilst clutching is a definite plus. . I thought we needed a striker and right sided centre back. We probably still do but hopefully this young guy is up to doing a job. Time will tell.
  10. 15m fee agreed for Souttar. Should hopefully help get a body or two in today.
  11. Thought there was a lot of positives today. Looked the better side. Moved the ball well, and created plenty openings. Sheep and Harkes linked up very well I thought and we were pretty unfortunate not to get all 3 points. Thought it was an excellent finish by Nisbett unfortunately. Missed a centre mid to bring on , Pawlett coming on and dropping Harkes or Mcgrath back wasn't the answer but there were very few options for Fox today. I think were looking a not bad side now, much better on the eye than it has been in recent years. A definite improvement under Fox and I really am starting to like him. Never really got to this stage with any of the last 3 managers. Oh and the keeper is no longer filling me with the fear. Levitt back, Mcgrath fit, Watt away, another striker in a similar mould to fletcher and a right sided centre back and Ill be happy.
  12. Am certainly not a royalist and agree with quite a bit of that but also agree with Randoms post. The music being played, the sports events being cancelled, the dire sombre tv coverage is meaning sadness is being forced upon us which is obviously wrong. Who would have thought rugby and cricket would have struck the right chord and not cancelled everything out of fear of upsetting a few folk.

  14. We are needing a bit of stability. Im pretty sure Duncan isn't the answer on that front. IF he was to do well or even reasonably well given his profile there would be interest from down South and Id be surprised if come the summer we were not looking for our 5th manager in 4 years. If he's murder its got the potential to go badly pretty quickly. I don't really see many scenarios where he starts next season with us and that brings with it more instability. Obviously would wish him all the best and if he was to do well and go at least that would mean we are on the right track. I've no idea where we go. Can see it being Fox with Mulgrew as assistant but that brings with it its own problems. The players would at least be onside with that you'd assume (although that shouldn't even be a consideration) but then that almost rewards their behaviour under Ross which would be wrong. Not many others mentioned appeal. Mcinnes would improve them I'm sure and at if he was to do well wouldn't have the attraction that big dunc would from down south but obviously he is contracted to Killie so paying them seems unlikely and who knows if he'd want it. He also got the better of the famous Motherwell side of 13/08/22 to 03/09/22 which from what I've read from their fans is some of the greatest football ever played. All in all I think TA is praying Fox makes a go of it and makes his decision easy for him.
