For me the big concern is the defence which doesn't seem to be getting better with games. Overall a fair bit to be p!eased with but defensively absolutely no progress.

McMaster passed his on to his children so it's reasonable to assume that that's where a fair proportion of the 55% shareholding comes from. As said, shares provided solely to ensure safe stewardship of the club for future generations suddenly became payment in kind for work done during 'Save the Jags'.

Caldwell has previously stated he didn't spend much of his transfer budget in January, we've got £250k - £400k for Lindsay and now £350k for what is in effect a squad player. He won't get it all but surely Caldwell must have (in Thistle terms) a reasonable budget to improve the squad
