  1. Remember when Archibald said that making the top six so early gave him time to choose the right targets to strengthen the team.
  2. Get the give the team time to tell stuff but even our good stuff over the last two games hasn't been very good. I'd love to feel optimistic about the new season but for me it's just not there.
  3. So you think we should live in the past and be negative or just look for people to blame if they falter. What i will say tho is the fact a lot of players/management got things wrong at different times in the season before give them a chance to make it right because the guys that don't care about the club have now been moved on, also if it all goes tits up come November i for one will be looking for change but in the meantime lets support them fully. You equate last season's debacle to faltering?

  5. No. Sorry. Isn't going to happen and it shouldnt. As a club we were let down and certain parties have to be the subject of bkame.
  6. Think Barton might come good. Absolutely no reason for this optimism just that I kept thinking what a great player this guy could be. Probably more blind optimism than anything else.
  7. Is our shiny new multi million training complex in danger should the worst happen on Thur/Sunday or are those funds set aside?
  8. Any scenario that doesn't mean Dundee having to win on the last day.
  9. Sorry but its not going to happen. Cast in bronze, commission an artist and the get permission from the council......hugely expensive. If I remember correctly the Lobey Dosser statue in Woodlands Road cost a five figure sum which came from extensive public donations.
  10. Why was she standing on a seaweed covered rock when she said it? Was it supposed to be dramatic effect?
  11. You haven't imagined it. He's already on the three man committee and if the bookies were giving odds he'd be one of the favourites.
  12. Actually been quite impressed with Dundee in our games this season but without Scott Allen, not so much. If it means anything though the lad Murray ran us ragged in the opening game at Easter Road.
  13. It was announced in the SPFL sidebar on Sky Sports News 5 minutes ago.
  14. We've got a fair bit of unanticipated cash coming in after the cup draw, maybe the club are dealing in a slightly higher transfer market because of it.
  15. Serious question, why would anyone who isn't a supporter make a major investment in a Scottish team? Without accessing the latter stages of the Champions League there's little profit to be made. Revenue streams from the media and advertisers are minimal so I fail to see the motivation.
  16. Another aspect is the reaction of other fans to these fundraisers. When I stood with my bucket outside Firhill the response from away supporters was tremendous. St Mirren and Hearts supporters in particular were generous but I can't think of a support that didn't contribute. Don't think many would contribute to save an OF team
