You boys must be getting slightly worried now.Andy Jackson the only player in so far would have thought you guys would have had at least 1 or 2 more in.

I would think part of the issue is the current position we are in you must know that feeling with some of the dross that you used to sign when in our position, but I believe a couple are incoming very shortly hopefully better than we currently have

No disrespect to Jacko or Mark Wilson but Jacko has started 2 games since the 21st September and no goals. The Management seem to forget that our opposition will also be strengthening.

It’s now the 11th of January and we have signed one unfit player.

I pray that we win today but certain people seem to think that by starting a Fighting Fund all Brechin City’s issues will suddenly disappear. This club deserves to be run much better than this.

In fairness players will not be exactly queuing up to play for Brechin at the moment and it will mostly come down to money on offer and hopefully the fighting fund will assist with this.  Mon the City

Birthday caird pish. There are plenty of smaller towns that support senior football by putting a competent team on the park; then there are stupid wee glorified social clubs who think it’s okay to tank to an 80 goal conceded season so long as there’s one other crap team in the division (Berwick’s M.O last season) or do nothing to compete at a higher level, try to suck off the teat of larger clubs and set the most embarrassing, all time low points total in the process (Brechin 2017-18). And even when they slump to the bottom of the pile as a result, the crap senior club still gets the luxury of a playoff with the second leg at home, instead of being automatically flushed out of the division as happens in every other league where relegation exists.

So stop blaming big, bad outsiders for the piss-poor decisions that send dung teams to the abyss and have take responsibility for their own actions.

You seem such an angry / frustrated wee boy

Punish the club ?   In what way ?

I put forward a reasonable suggestion which seems to have ruffled a few feathers . I would have mentioned it when I left but there were none of the committee about then.

By saying  "For the record I also try to help out as much as possible...........maybe too much at times .   Probably time to take a back seat if it upsets people so much."

Only one feather and yes you were there when at least one maybe 2 came into the City Club because one came in with us.

Anyway happy new year when it comes along

I too spoke with a committee member who was also humbled by it all. .....Probably the same one.

I was merely commenting on an observation which was noticed by a couple of others too.  I don't think it was an unreasonable suggestion , nor was it intended to offend anyone.

For the record I also try to help out as much as possible...........maybe too much at times .   Probably time to take a back seat if it upsets people so much.

One person makes a comment about your comments and you want to punish the club at a time that they need all the help they can get !!. If the issue about the players was bothering so many in City Club did anyone take it up with any of the 3 or 4 committee members that were in ?

Does anyone know roughly how much we have raised with the fighting fund so far ?

I was told yesterday that they are very happy with the response so far but they did not say exactly how much raised to date

Worrying times if Brechin are resorting to an outright tin-rattle, it's a sign of things not being right upstairs at all.

(We did exactly the same thing 10 years ago when the stakes were far lower with no trapdoor place. It didn't work and we still finished stone dead last.)

We are where we are the most important thing is staying in the league thats why  I donated then plans for a longer term solution are an absolute must, not quite so straight forward as clubs with shareholders / board of directors. But I have heard of one possible proposal which sounds interesting that will hopefully develop over the next few weeks.

So the club want the fans to dig deep for the fighting fund what a joke.Mr Ferguson and Co have run the club into the ground.Looks like the club is finished, be as well and amalgate with the Vics.

As usual no answers from you, but do have a lovely Christmas

  10. If the  unthinkable happened what are the chances that we will survive as a club ? if we are currently losing money  hand over fist I would think that would only get a lot lot worse in the Highland League. I personally think a big gamble money wise is required in January to bring in players ( probably easier said than done )  that could help secure our league status and would suggest that the committee get the begging bowl out as a matter of urgency and speak to businesses / supporters near and far to help out, but they must also explain to them what the plans are for the future because it appears that big changes are required to modernise the running of the club, basically a complete rethink. Some may say a bit early to push the panic button with over half a season left  to play ( but just ask Berwick Rangers )  plans need put in place now to give us the best chance of survival, maybe the committee have it all in hand I really do hope so, but given the very very serious nature of our position I think an EGM should be called immediately  to let the fans especially the season ticket holders know what is happening and find out what help would be welcomed to aid our survival. I am sure the committee are doing their absolute  best but now is the time for everyone to do their bit, for most as simple as turning up in numbers to the games and getting behind the team 100% something that I know has not been easy given some of the performances but the fans must play their part and support the team from the first minute to the last minute

Needs more than just money.  Club needs a completely new direction. Can't keep living from hand to mouth / week to week.

Looks like we will be going in a completely new direction NORTH
