I was thinking more in the lines of two up two down.
But the Highland league would have to get their house in order (if that is possible) to allow this to happen ,it would probably only be a matter of time before LL would complain that their pyramid system deserves better treatment than the HL due to more competition / clubs in their system . You will never keep all happy

And the club would have to pay 100% of a full squad of players wages.
Furlough will stop as soon as training starts as well unless players agree a deal with club that there will be no money till games start. Worrying times ahead for lots of clubs

Plenty expert candidates for the job on P&B maybe a poll should be started

The seethe the Highland League inflicts upon people is great.
Clearly not half as much as the SPFL inflicts on the HL

I believe there is no smoke without fire my friend. The scenario described in the report would be wholly plausible given the circumstances.
EVIDENCE is what is required, as a matter of interest where did your Forum name come from

What a surprise to find Ken Ferguson mentioned in the Rangers dossier, with allegations of interfering with a vote.
Oh well it must be true then

Yeah gutted,I'm not visiting Glebe park next season with the Valley ladz.

But we were not coming down

There does seem to be a running theme in some of the pyramid supporters' contributions along the lines of "ha ha, you're all fucked."
Thinks its small man syndrome ( I will await the incoming flack about the mighty Brechin City)

Its only fitba lots more to be really concerned about at the moment. If we get relegated in the future it will be because we were not good enough and thats something you just need to accept

You lot in League 2 seem to be a worried bunch and rightly so..
Change is coming, the pyramid is taking shape and the structure is now just about in place in the Lowland area.
A new West of Scotland senior league is now set up to join the already and long established South and East of Scotland league's.
All that remains is to get the structure below the Highland league set up,talks are ongoing between the HL,North Caledonian league and the North/Tayside juniors.
Not long now till the likes of Talbot,Pollok and Kilwinning come knocking on your door......
What bit of my post would lead you to think I am worried yea I am really shitting it

Because I have heard from a reliable source that this is all about keeping the lawyers away from the SPFL door.
Feel for Clyde,Forfar and the Blue Toon though.
My personal option would be 4 leagues of 12 or 3 leagues of 16 and straight relegation for the bottom club in league 2,every league the same as the Premiership, crazy having different play off systems etc.
Well my reliable source says what you have said is not true

I don't have any real issues with relegating the bottom club and promoting 1 club ( starting next year ) and I say this as someone who supports a team who at the moment looks like we will be in the bottom reaches again next year unless there are changes to things at all levels at our club. But there are murmurings within the town about a way forward to help the club financially which hopefully comes to something.
Survival is the key thing for us and lots of other clubs during these very sad and strange times

I would scrap it this year. Brechin stay in to fit the principal of no team loses out.
Automatic promotion every season after that for the winners of the HL/LL play-off. Relegation for club 42. A proper pyramid system.
Queen's Park changed 152 years of history to ensure we never become club 42. It's adapt or die. That is modern football. You have to move with the times.
Lucky you most clubs don't have the luxury of Hampden money & a multi millionaire's help to adapt

Its despicable stuff, pathetic cowardice from League 2 clubs. They’ve been nice and cosy for far too long. It’s been a joy to see Cove come up and batter League 2 sides about for fun as they romped to the title - and it will be beautiful when the likes of Kelty, Brora and The Talbot come up and smash these sides about as well. Brechin crying about potentially joining the HL, where they would rightfully belong if they went down, topped it all off for me. The entitlement that these clubs has a resemblance to the way Rangers behaved when they went bust. It’s like they think because they are traditional senior sides in the professional leagues that they don’t deserve to go down. Get it right up them, change is coming and there’s nothing they can do to stop it.clearly looking to get your greenie count up a bit

By "the best interests of football", you mean "the best interests of themselves", right?Would it not be the case that most if not all votes are cast with self interest in mind whether for immediate gain or future potential gains

No reason why not? What makes your little rabble more important than the LL or HL? Most would accept 14-14-16 or 14-16-14 or 16-14-14, with automatic relegation from the bottom league. Your rabble want to shut the door and block. The sensible thing to do in such a case is to allow that by moving you to a more suitable level for your clubs.
And if you lot had been bottom of the SPL none of this would have been discussed

Aye there will be enough clubs,we've got a pyramid system now and there's plenty of life below League 2.
The only way George Fraser and Rod Houston should be conforming to 14,14,14 is by getting automatic relegation for 20/21 for club 42.
If the rules state automatic relegation then them's the rules and all clubs will have to abide by these including my club

Will there be enough clubs left to have 14-14-14 or any other permutations I fear not unless the government step in to assist which I doubt unless in the form of loans which will only create further issues down the line.

The point being that the SPFL acted out with their powers, crisis or not, that is fact.
I have been running companies now for around 35/40 years and have been involved in many contractual / company law issues never has it ever been black and white you quote something they quote something else and round it goes the only people who benefit are solicitors. I see today big Dundee fan Jack Robertson a much respected and lovely man ( solicitor ) passed away over the weekend, he once said to me when discussing a case with me " dont go to court expecting justice "

No you weren’t. The SPFL acted unilaterally in cancelling the pyramid play off game, they have overlooked the fact that they had no right to do so.
But they cancelled all the other play off games as well why should Brechin be treated differently ? if all games had been taking place then no issue to Brechin having to play their games as well.
